Would there be anything better than a Naruto RPG with Souls combat?
But anon-kun, don't you know? Any time someone wants to describe a hypothetical game with good combat, he will wish for it to be like the souls games, even though most of the time it doesn't fit the setting at all.
I love Naruto but i dont think that a Naruto game would benefit from the "Souls Combat" because the only ones who would really benefit from the souls combat would be Zabuza, Kisame, suigetsu because they have swords.
I just dont think that the Shuriken, Kunai-fights would look authentic, cause you cant rly throw stuff rly smooth while fighting.
With Jutsus and sorceries its the same.
Except Castlevania games (even the Igavanias) are still built around platforming. I don't know why people think any of the Castlevania games are anything like the Souls series or would benefit that much from taking influence from the Souls series. It's stupid. Shut the fuck up already.
A number of Castlevania games were in 3rd person. Thing is the combat was more similar to god of war in that game and wasn't as punishing as the old Castlevania games. Souls games could definitely benifit from platforming elements as well, which from my memory sen's fortress pretty much is a platforming level.
I don't know. I just feel like the perfect Castlevania is a 2d one. It just feels right that way.
The setting of the whole franchise isn't something extremely different from the souls games, you are right about that, but that is the exact reason why there is no point in getting such a game since we already have the souls games.
If I game should be created using Souls Combat, it should not be in an extremely similar universe like Castelvania and not in a universe where it wouldn't make any sense like Naruto.
I think it would be pretty cool if we got a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk world with mutants and souls combat.
Not really. The Classicvanias are more wholistic in terms of scenario; the level design is a much more active presence and matters just as much as the enemies do.
The Souls series demands a degree of caution when it comes to confronting enemies. So does Castlevania. But that's where the similarities begin and end.
So you think a dark souls arena fighter would be bad?
Would be pretty much like the PvP already in game with presets.
And a 2d fighter of course wouldn't really be anything but souls inspired as a whole dimension of gameplay would be missing.
Or you can make a darker soul caliber with rolling.
I think the part of "souls combat" he would be referring to would be that of bloodborne, which would be gay because the base material you want to make a game off of is retarded.
Now a bleach "souls game" that would be pretty awesome. I mean seriously pretty much all the bosses have a release/bankai at half health. Even thought it was hilarious at Logarius senbon zakura and Ludwing getsuga tensho.

A High School DxD RPG with Souls combat.
Both have limited ammo types, resources health bars, you die you start back at a save point.
The only thing a "souls game" has over castlevania is the 3rd dimension. Which castlevania has went into that territory already and failed. Which is why it would benefit greatly with souls style gameplay because it is basically the same mixing in the older castlevania mechanics with the 3rd dimension.
a lot of levels in dark souls do it as well I know most people don't like a few of the levels that do it but blight town, seth's fortress, the archives, anor londo, the catacombs and even the tomb of giants do this
>Both have limited ammo types, resources health bars, you die you start back at a save point.
So does Shinobi. So does Ninja Gaiden. So do all sorts of action games that feature some kind of subweapon system.
They're not that similar. Your reasoning is superficial at best.
why do you keep on acting like the 3rd person castlevanias don't exist. The only reason the castlevania games you are talking about are action platformers is because they are 2d, in 3d it would be exactly the same as dark souls excluding dodging and the art direction.
The 3rd person Castlevanias do exist and I'm not acting like they don't. They're failures, of course, but nonetheless they're still action-platformers as well.
I described the Souls games as third-person to distinguish them from the game's they're spiritual successors to.
>The only reason the castlevania games you are talking about are action platformers is because they are 2d
What? That's like saying "The only reason Castlevania is Castlevania is because it's Castlevania." You're right, bud. If Castlevania were a 3D game like the Souls games it would be like the Souls games. You're arguing from your conclusion, not to your conclusion.
