Shrine of Amana really isn't even that bad, just annoying. It has a good aesthetic and atmosphere going for it. Lost Izalith is an eye-searing clusterfuck that is simply never a pleasure to visit. Made worse by the only alternate route costing something like 30 humanity from a hidden covenant.

Really? How so? The "tragic" retread lore? the "heroic" sacrifice of Artorias? The "feels"? The four boss fights? Artorias of the Abyss has nothing to offer compared to the Crowns trilogy. Nothing at all.

I hope Dark Souls 3 is the same quality as the DS2 DLCs. They were so much better than the base game.

The only co-op section in DaS 2 DLC is the graverobbers, and the only long boss runs are Alonne and outskirts.

The DLC makes fairly heavy use of shortcuts too, so even if you die you aren't fucked, certinaly not 'thirty minutes' of fucked, or even five.

I can agree on all of your other points but Scholars which is basically the only DS2 version worth playing has much much better performance than Dark Souls.

Yes, various quest lines can only be advanced by summoning the NPCs at certain boss fights. If you just talk to them at every chance you can, you'll trigger their summon signs wherever you need to summon them. They're usually hidden off the obvious path, though. Like in the Gulch
