Of course. But I had it extra rough. Jehovahs witness parents. Only system I owned was a ps2, basically our dvd player. We had a few sports games but that was mostly it. I managed to buy a few other games for it though around when I was 14-15. My parents were blaming my mediocre grades and my distancing myself from the religion on games. Eventually it all crashed down though. I got my hands on gta. They cauht me playing it. They took the ps2 and destroyed it. They took every game I owned and destroyed them. They took everything from my room but my desk and mattress. All destroyed. I was never allowed to visit my friends in the first place because religion but now I was barred from even going to school events that weren't absolutely required. They became extremely bitter and passive agressive, I would have to see the elders every week for three months then once a month until I got kicked out when I was 17 and excommunicated, half of why they were so cruel was because I tried defending myself sometimes on not wanting to be a jehovahs witness. I havenkt talked to them in years and I hope it stays that way.

Had this weird thing when I was a kid where my whole family used to hate computers. I remember when my cousin dropped IT at school my grandma said, 'Good. What a worthless subject. Why are schools teaching you to play on a computer?' Now I'm doing Computer Science at University, but I can't tell anyway without feeling extremely embarrassed or uncomfortable.

Anyway, neither of my parents particularly objected to me playing video games, but they really hated Runescape. Never understood why.
