It happens every single times. How do I get out of this spiral?
stop being a mindless consumer
how does it take you months to get the money for a video game?

You don't. You're getting older. Things become less and less interesting. Your best years are behind you. Use drugs.

just play dota and team fortress 2 all day
You don't.
That's what makes you a true gamer.

I work part-time and study, I have a lot of living expenses on me.
this is why I sell my games after I beat them or get bored of them.
You just need to find "the one" for you, OP.
She's out there, somewhere.

I feel you're just not enjoying new triple a. Instead, buy yourself a controller and emulate older consoles. Tons of great series you haven't played yet if you give up can give up on graphx.

I prefer being a 20-something to being a kid. For one thing I can get way more games. There's also a lot of them that I can appreciate now more than I would have when I was a kid. Hell, even some cartoons are better now than when I was a kid. I didn't get Hey Arnold at all for example, but now I see how fucking good it really was. Overall, life is better because of my greater capacity for appreciation of good things and my easier ability at acquiring said things.
