So I just got done softmodding my PSP 1001, and I've only got a couple games on it.
>Dead Head Fred
>Brandish: The Dark Revenant
>Ape Escape: On the Loose
>Lunar: Silver Star Harmony
>Armored Core: Formula Front
>Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles
>Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions
Any essential titles I should be checking out before these ones? I'd go the emulation route but the only consoles I'm interested in emulating on it right now are the PS1 and the N64. Any word on how good the game compatibility is on the Daedalus emulator for N64?
Also, so far my favorite title has been Brandish. It's my first dungeon crawling adventure in a while, and I've already pitched 3 hours into it.
If anyone has that chart of games for the PSP that floats around, I'd love to have it
Ace Combat 3
Vigilante 8 2nd Offense
Crash Bandicoot 2
Crash Team Racing
Ace Combat X
Ace Combat X2
Metal Slug Anthology
Metal Slug Double X
Type-0 (there's a finished translation floating around somewhere)
Persona 3 Portable
Daedalus runs, but you'll struggle on more complex games. It runs Super Mario well from what I remember
Shit that looks far more amusing than I thought it would be after watching the trailer. Those minigames look pretty well made all things considered. I might actually check this one out.
I'm not really a huge God of War fan, but I know my brother is so I might snag them for him. Wipeout is that futuristic racing series of Sony's right? I'm not super familiar so I'll have to look into it.
>Ace Combat X
>Ace Combat X2
I'm a pretty open minded guy when it comes to trying new genres, but I have apprehensions about the controls for a handheld flight sim. Is it smooth?
>Metal Slug Anthology
Now that's a great recommendation, Metal Slug is one of those series that I've always heard of but never tried. I'll certainly be getting this one.
Thank you two for the obligatory lists, I'll be sure to pour over them as the thread goes on.
That's a Metal Gear game, right? I was thinking of including this in the OP, but I didn't want to throw too much out for discussion at once; I've never played a single MGS game, and I'm fairly certain there were a couple of ports to the PSP of the first 2 PS1 games? Are they worth looking into, or are they shitty ports?
