So what's your expected GOTY for 2016?
After playing its trial, for me it's Shoujotachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu.
It's a VN, an incredibly amazing one. The jokes are funny, have great timing and delivery, the pace is brisk (great plus compared to most other VNs) and Romeo adds his great insight into eroge creation.
Of course by Romeo I mean Tanaka Romeo, Japanese author renowned for Cross Channel, Saihate no Ima or Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita.
If you can read Japanese, then I can't recommend Shoujotachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu enough.
The full VN itself comes out in March, but it's anime adaptation started airing recently, so even if you can't read Japanese, you can experience it in another form. Well, the first part of it. The anime will cover the common route depicting protagonists still in school, the full VN will also include routes set when everyone's working in a VN-making company.

If you're asking if there are better VNs out there, then I yeah, but obviously it depends on your tastes. Despite what EOP friends tend to think, there's still a lot of variety in what kind of VNs get made, so you can easily find something that would suit you.

Yeah, it's weird, but you can just ignore the anime and wait for the VN. And as I said, the anime will only have the prologue.
If you want to read something quick by Romeo, go for 犬と魔法のファンタジー, one volume LN about finding employment in a fantasy world.

What makes games like that interesting for you?
The gameplay part is just a basic RPG made in RPG Maker. As far as porn, VNs have better art.

Interactivity, the game reacts to what you do instead of being a static string of events with the occasional arching.

Natsukuru was great. I'm a bit sad that they all have big looking breasts in Akikuru, really liked the loli part of Natsukuru.
I need to find more non-nukige with mainly loli heroines. Working my way through Monobeno, was quite happy thatthey changed Alice into a loli for a couple of H scenes in her after route.
Will pre-order Maitetsu if I enjoy Monobeno through to the end. A bit worried about whether they might put out an updated version of Maitetsu and I'd be better waiting a year, though.

Doubt it. Monobeno Happy End only came out because people were unhappy with the first version. Surely Lose wouldn't repeat the same mistakes again.
