ZED time is fucking terrible if you're not berserker since the whole screen goes Sin-city-ripoff black and white and all bullets become incredibly slow-moving projectiles meaning you can't hit shit unless you lead your target. It makes ZED time a detriment to the game instead of the quick break it was before. Every time you swing your melee weapon, the whole screen swerves to give a 'cinematic' feel, and every time you hit something, the screen shakes. It makes berserker almost unplayable unless you manually delete game files. When you get grabbed by a clot, you automatically face the clot and a great big "PRESS V TO SHOVE" prompt appears like a goddamn QTE. The ZEDs warp all around you to prevent kiting, but all it means is that a Fleshpound in one room will immediately show up in the room you're running into.
Berserker's a bit more fun this time around with the parry mechanic, a lot more engaging than before. The Fleshpound's design is a lot better. Other than that, KF2 doesn't have much going for it right now.

Same here. It's optional, it doesn't change anything and you can even get them as random drops/rewards
You sound overall like you are not enjoying the game though. I'd suggest waiting for the full release and checking if they've fixed any of your concerns or not

The problem is the game is not "great" as you say it is. The higher the difficulty mode, the less you earn. That means that the price gouging classes (ie support and demo) are, BY DESIGN, going to be either broken for normal (which support was), or a money black hole (and thus a liability) on higher difficulties (which they mostly are unless demo has nuke to actually reliably kill big zeds).
Speaking of demo, his literally only role is to kill fleshies. That's it, thanks to the fact that BOTH BOSSES resist explosives, but are weak to microwave, encouraging everyone to pick firebugs for boss wave with a medic and maaaaybe a callout commando for patty.
The perk system SHOULD be a good idea, but in practice it's bad due to TWI being utterly incapable of balancing: perk choices range from literally mandatory perks (fortitude) vs bad choices (demo can weld doors so they explode... once per game because doors don't respawn, for a single explosion that is outdamaged by a single proc firebug can make every zed proc. Did I mention firebugs has four legitimately good perks?) Meaning there aren't any builds in the game, because everyone rock the same perks.
And even when it comes to simply balancing, they can't do that properly.
Smash+Zwei used to be the bane of big zeds by having retarded damage. So what did they do? They cut the damage of the zwei by three AND nerfed smash. Support used to be broken. So they cut its damage bonus per level by two, and raised the price of the AA12 to 1700 dosh + 100 per mag, making the AA12 virtually unusable unless you hog all the ammo crates for you.
They're also stupid by balancing excusively perks when they should tweak the zeds. Parrying was too good, so now you literally can't parry fleshpounds, when they could just have made it harder or put a cooldown so you can't lock down fps anymore without making tanking completely skill independant for fps. Yeah, nice going, twi.
Finally they can't balance Hans to save their lives. Gas and grenades where complained about, so they made it completely useless. Guns got nerfed to somewhat dangerous if you're in the open. Meanwhile his melee is retarded, two hitting anyone that's not a zerk if his AI decides so. There was a webm on /kfg/ a few days ago where a medic with full kevlar (that's 150+ armor, granting a 75% dmg reduction) got two shot by hans (not even in his final phase) because he got into melee range.
But fear not, the zedconomy is here, even if, due to making their voice system for console, you STILL CAN'T FUCKING SAY THANKS HOLY SHIT TRIPWIRE GET IT TOGETHER.
