In the past couple of years i've only finished 3 games. Sleeping dogs, Deus Ex HR and Dark Souls. It's pretty fucking good.

Driving is atrocious, combat gets very boring quickly, the game looks bad, you can't carry a gun on you, which forces you to do even more of that boring ass combat. Did anyone else put Tiffany into a car and drive her off a cliff after she cheated on Wei?

I found it ok, though driving felt abit awkward and alot of the GTA-style elements felt mediocre honestly. The story was really cool and I loved the hand-to-hand combat animations, so I had no issue sticking around for those two reasons alone.

I played the game at launch (check the date on the screenshot) and talked about it every time one of the new story DLCs came out, but the game really is "discount GTA featuring Arkham Asylum". I thought it was a solid 7 or 8 but it's guilty of a lot of the same things that GTA did, and it's also very obviously an incomplete game.

Aside from pork bun guy and IT TAKES GUTS TO WEAR THAT, the NPCs are less interactive and the burgs are all segmented in a really weird way.

One of the things I liked about the game was that you could walk through the city and there would be these guys who don't show up on the map and they sell you shit for your apartment. Like a new bed and stuff like that.

I liked Sleeping Dogs but didn't love it. The story and characters were pretty awful but the environments and gameplay was pretty decent. Music was very hit or miss in really weird ways. Graphics were pretty average, nothing special. Not sure why they needed famous actress girl to bloat the budget because it's literally nothing in the game. Overall it gets kind of repetitive but it's worth playing if it's on sale.
