Was the game any good? I remember it getting less than favorable reviews, but I mean, a ton of games get that sort of reception and go on to be 10/10s on /v/.
Does LC fall under this category, or should I skip out on it? (all assuming it comes to PC anyways)
You realize the reason they probably never made it there to begin with was because until very recently, Japs thought everyone else was like them and only used PC for porn.
They've only recently realized with other successes that we actually use it as a major gaming platform and there's tons of cash to be made.
It'll sell in the low ten thousands and then push into hundred thousands after a steam sale or two.
Killer is dead has sold 196,462 on steam so far and did it without having a lead character like Juliet. If anything, PC consumers have proven they'll buy any garbage so long as it has a pretty female character in it.
Cool. The gameplay was mediocre as fuck but the music more than made up for it imo. As long as it's cheap then I'll buy it.
>Weird that all of these previous gen games are coming to PC and current gen consoles.
They did this last gen too,
Nintendo is the only company that still pumps out regular exclusive games, the other two just repackage games from the previous gen and have maybe 5-6 worthwhile exclusives by the end of the gen.
I was so let down when I finally modded my PS3. All I had been hearing around the end of last gen was that the PS3 "won by a landslide" and had "so many games"
But it was 90% multiplats and ports from the previous gen. I think I found like, 4 games that I hadn't already played (Ni No Kuni, Katamari Forever, Nier and a Yakuza game)
>and I've been here since 2013, I'm no newfag
>That unlockable Is this a zombie costume
>I only play new games that cost $59.99
>I literally believe that single-player games degrade in quality over time
>Despite the game being old, I am actually mad about the PC release, because I spent hundreds on a console whose value is based solely on the number of games that can't be played on a more powerful device
No official statement, but a couple reasons to conclude that it's happening
1.They were in the list of leaked steam games, which is a good source imo because it leaked the GGXrd port a few days before it was announced
2.The devs have directly stated that they want Dangan Ronpa 3 on Steam
I've thoroughly enjoyed pretty much every Suda game. The only one I haven't played is Killer is Dead and I fucking missed it on sale like a retard. Even though this game is short and flawed, it's still really fun.
Anyway, I'm glad this is coming to PC so I can replay it. It was a bit weird to me that Jimmy Urine voices the antagonist, since when I was a 13 year old faggot I really liked MSI.
>The only one I haven't played is Killer is Dead
KiD (on PC with 60fps anyway) is the best Suda51 game when it comes to raw gameplay action. I agree that the characters and the story are shit without any style of NMH though.
Steam DB has Danganronpa, FF10, EDF and Half-Life 3. So why didn't it have FF9 and Lollipop Chainsaw, the only ones that were actually announced? calling bs
The gameplay didn't feel as good as nmhs or nmh2 to me, I think it's cuz all the game boiled down too was dodge/parry and mash the attack button. The sword swings didn't feel impact like the beam katannas.
>Reminded that Let It Die exists
Why the fuck is Suda51 is even producing that shit? Did Killer is Dead bomb that hard?
God damn it, his games were never that addicting to play but they were still uniquely mesmerizing. Now we're balls deep in this gritty, pseudo realistic looking multiplayer bullshit.
PC is like when a supermarket ends up with out-of-date stuff and before shelf life ends they slap a big discount on it . degenerates will immediately jump at the opportunity. but it's also a good thing at the same time.
>since when I was a 13 year old faggot I really like MSI
The white wall plaster, they never catch on. The white wall plaster, they never catch on. You've always got to do it with a big, long John
I agree, MSI was the shIt when I was a kid but I doubt I'd be up for reliving that album. At least I'm less of a faggot now, except when it comes to Luka Urashibara.
Fucking nice. Game was fun as shit. Combat was that kind of mashy fun and the dialogue and humour was just the right kind of silly.
Saeko costume a best.
If the concept sounds interesting to you you'll probably find it entertaining. If no it's an alright action game.
Isn't it weird that one of the people responsible for this game went on to direct Guardians of The Galaxy?
Talk about upwardly mobile.
>tfw made petition for PC version back when it came out
>get over it and forget the game
>now it's suddenly coming years after
I hate PC gaming so much, mainly because of how we are treated like third hand costumers, fucking niggers.
Katherine PC when
>It didn't get worse since 2012.
Love this meme.
>go to play old game
>graphics are dated
>UI and keybindings are unacceptable
>where before it would be natural on some shitty 4:3 CRT it's between black on my 16:9
>runs like shit, crashes, requires hacks to play, may have limited functionality because it's not compatible with a newer Windows OS
>DAT SWEET ASS ARCADEY GAMEPLAY
>LITERALLY OOZING STYLE
AW YEAH BAYBEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Man I know I played and even beat the game but I honestly don't remember the end, all I remember was that death metla kid who liked the MC but she didn't feel anything for him since she already had a boyfriend what was after that?
They weren't leaked, they were listed in a database that includes various unreleased games
The developers said they want to work on "stationary consoles" while mentioning they are developing new series and other titles. They never specifically mentioned anything.
Why Japanese devs are suddenly releasing everything they have on the PC? Not that i complain.
>dat japanese boxart
this would piss off some people in the west
I can't bring myself to care. I already played it more than enough for my tastes. Its the rose colored glasses of the past that make me want to play it again.
Lolipop chainsaw is actually a good game if-- IF-- you play it the way it was meant to be played. Its all about hunting for mass combo+decapitation setup. That's the fun-- using your moves to beat zombies into a tight little group so you can get the 6 or 7 head decapitation all at once.
If you try and play it like a regular brawler, it would feel obnoxious cause it just isn't that good. This is a game about crowd control and combo hunting. I liked it, I liked unlocking the costumes. I liked playing as Juliet's mom and Cordelia!
I may buy again if ppl make good mods for it.
Oneechanbara is better.
I feel so sorry for this. Came right at the end when the "lets make an RE4 clone" was getting tired. Nothing really wrong with the game, it had some pacing issues, it was genuinely creative and bizarre at times-- it's just that at the time it came out, you were just tired of the RE4 clone genre.
Taste my hot boner.
I'm a console guy, but I could be safely walk away from consoles if NGBlack, Soul Calibur 1-6 (any one of them) and Virtua Fighter 5 were released on PC.
I'd just play NG Black and Virtua Fighter 5 all day. PLEASE!
>feminists pissed & raging like The Hulk because a strong, healthy female has the leading role in a video game and her boyfriend is delegated to sidekick. Points to Kim-fucking-Possible on how such characters should be portrayed.
>Ignores the panty flashes in Kim Possible.
Boycott Japanese developers who don't port their games to Linux.
No, ports regarner interest in series and also push people to be more likely to play something if it is on the particular platform of their choice. I was interested but not enough to go out and buy it at the time, but if it were added to Steam I'd give it a go.
This game (PS3) was my lesson to not buy multiplats.
It's an Unreal 3.0 game, if you don't know about the assload of universal tweaks you can do with the .ini's, that's on you
