when will you use a weapon that actually requires skill?
GS is way too off, too much so to be funny. It's not played by people who use default so much as its played by tryhard who have to use the strongest weapon and refuse to use anything else.
This is the worst fucking monhun thread I've read on here and the majority of you are acting like a bunch of elitist babies. I 100% blame it on the shitpost OP forgetting to put
Monster Hunter Thread.
inb4 "butt-blasted IG frenchie
When I use Bagette I try to get my insect buffs going properly and not to monte too much. I try to charge the shield for CB, but don't Ultras trip allies if they're too close? Or at least Impact ones.
Hammer is depressingly true. I'll knock that fucking thing out one day.
>I'll be selling my Vita in the meantime
Okay, I chuckled at that one.
>says someone who's never used lance
You can instantly hop out of any attack and continue to mash B for invincibility mode.
A guard lancer is more likely to get their shit slapped since it takes longer to finish your attack, put up your shield and position yourself so the enemy doesn't hit you from a bad angle. Also the counter counts as part of your combo, so you can't do it after the third poke.
Whenever I read the Charge Blade stuff it makes me a feel a bit better because I don't do any of the shit that people complain about.
This is my first MH, but I'm far from the worst person to play with online.
>be CB user
>fill my vials fast, charge shield + 5 vials
am I the best CB user in the world?
I honestly don't like the IG anyway.
Charge Blade is just an incredibly versatile and powerful weapon.
Once I shake the rust off and get back into my old save file I'm probably going to start using different weapons, though.
Maybe Greatsword or Gunlance. Not much else that interests me.
Are Dual Blades good in G Rank?
And I hope CB and IG never leak into Frontier.
So everyone is happy.
Damage increasing skills, and personally I really like evade extender with them. I'm no pro or anything, though.
My set is:
Rebellion Helm Z
Grand Divine Ire Robe
Grand Divine Ire Obi
and an Evade Dist +6/OOO Talisman
Ends up giving me Honed Blade, Latent Power +1, Evasion +1 and Evade Extender. There are probably better sets you can make, but I like this one quite a bit, and am too lazy to farm a ton for crazy rare talismans beyond whatever I've happened to get lucky with. I also usually just use the Ceadeed Axe, because I haven't bothered fully upgrading many others.
this one was fairly easy to make
you can use it as a stepping stone to grind for something better
is it really that bad? i didnt have a water glaive and didnt feel like leveling a bug so i made a water ls for molten tiggy. i sort of knew how to use it already since i went through fu with it.
it certainly doesnt feel as bad as people say, i think its just balanced now. FU ls certainly wasnt
How about fuck you i am good. I dont cart and Ive been rolling through roars, tail whips, fireballs, tremors, and hip checks since FU without evasion with LS since thats its only option, and can see just how dramatically lower the damage output is on the damn thing by comparing my kill times from FU to 4U on certain monsters. not to mention the fact that i dont even have to try with a GS (a weapon i've used less than a tenth of how much ive used a LS) and i get faster kill times with it than my LS.
lol scrub. you can roll through tigrex, gore, shagaru, and tetsu roars in 4u without evasion. in FU you can roll through tigrex, and narga roars at the very least without evasion. and if youre smart you can roll into a raths left foot when they roar to avoid the roar's effect
I'm pretty sure it is possible anon, you just have to get the timing right.
Is it just me or does the Captcha fail the 1st time even if you got it right?
>comparing my kill times from FU to 4U
why would you? so much has changed since then. it proves absolutely nothing.
the biggest hit to the ls was making monsters faster and more mobile, but that's hit every weapon.
Do not be a weapon racist/elitist.
All weapons are beautiful.
Love your fellow Hunter/Huntress.
Even if you are solohunta.
Nah anon, on regular 4Chan.
if you're fighting say a tigrex on a flat surface in 4U i dont see much of a change from FU other than scouple more moves to weapons, a couple more moves to tigrex, and different damage formulas. Kill times then on that monster should be similar with the same weapon type unless subsequent games have made the damage that weapon does higher or lower.
Remind me what a special permit quest is again?
Ah MHX that'd be why I didn't know, sorry man
I don't have X, I'm still playing 4U.
If I had the game I'd help you though.
>people still talk shit to me when I pick the switch axe
B-but it's the first weapon I ever used back with my first MH and it has a special place in my heart...
Also, fuck you guys. I can axe combo, finisher into sword, combo down swings and up swings all day, and finish with a massive cock explosion on whatever I fine. Massive DPS and a super powerful finishers. Eat my fucking shorts, nerds.
Be strong anon, I believe that you can win!
I'm also pining for another console MonHun. My 3DS battery just does not last long enough to satiate me.
Also, I liked the hunting zones in 3U more than I like the ones in 4U. I even like swimming. Are the areas in X decent?
Is there any difference in the permit monsters besides move sets and looks? Do you get special armour sets from these quests?
Gore's roar is short enough to roll through with no evasion skills with a reasonable frame of difficulty.
Just roll a breath or so before he rears his head up and you're just fine.
Using HH in a HR4 room. One of the guys wkept calling it a bagpipe and wanted to use it too. Then the whole room was making bone horns and trying to fight a LR Gravios. God fuck if you're HR and see dumbass HH users I'm sorry
