The only thing that bothers me stats-wise is if I get a level up on a unit at the start of a map and get only +1 to one stat. Usually strength on a mage too.

Stats usually only matter if a unit gets absolutely fucked (like Ike somehow doesn't gain a point of Strength and/or Speed in 19 levels fucked) or if you're sperging over eugenics in Awakening/Fates (maybe FE4 too but I've never played that one).

Sometimes a unit's base stats are all that matters; they could have shit/0 growths and still be good for most of the game (Seth)

I really despise the randomness of the stats, all levels should just give you set increases so you can play this consistently

she has one of the highest def growths in the game and oni savage gives her enough of a strength boost to make that base 25 growth sting less. unfortunately her hp growth is shit, her base hp is too, and oni savage has useless skills so she won't be tanking as much as, say oboro or cyrus. she's only useful for getting ogre strike on kamui.

Stats matter on the harder difficulties.

Just reset or do the RNG abuse trick if you're on the GBA games.

Stats usually don't matter unless the RNG purposefully screws you over

I just let them level up and then proceed to brute force my way through the games because FE games aren't hard and you don't have to pay attention to anything other than health and movement.

Now when it comes to the hardest difficulties sure, but that's more about proper tactics and positioning than anything really.

FE4's eugenics is more important than Awakening's. The way FE4 works eugenics us the difference between a unit being completely unusable or possibly a god.

In Awakening the difference is a godlike unit or a perfectly usable one that might still be better than their parents.

Only used her for killing tanks or slower enemies, honestly I never noticed until she got doubled by a fucking dragon.

I'm playing the gba and I died trying to lure that retard Guy from getting himself killed. So when I restart cause I don't want to lose that unit, I think it was one of my axemen, Serra only gets +1 luck instead of the more stat boosts she got before. But I don't restart or abuse RNG, I don't usually bother. I might not even use Serra, not sure yet. It still annoys me though.This is my first fire emblem.

I used to not really care then when i played PoR found out the 3 fucking stages before the end of the game they do a RNG stat check heavy boss AFTER an already long mission, i've still never been able to beat Dark knight.
