What was there EVER to do in Far Cry except survive/kill shit? Be honest. If it's not your type of game, fair enough, but it's good at what ot does. I'd argue it's only somewhat challenging on the highest difficulty but there are a few hardcore mods for it that make it perfect. And in 3 you can even go poker when you're tired of killing shit.

Far Cry 2 was the most immersive Far Cry. Far Cry 3 was piss easy on the hardest difficulty and I didn't bother with 4.

I think Far Cry is a lot better than Assassin's Creed when it comes to the whole open world thing. Where asscered just dumps a billion collectibles and samey side missions across the map Far Cry doesn't have nearly as many and the side-quests have a feeling of progression to them.

I'll probably rent Far Cry Primal, not finish it and think it's okay 3/5

As fun as it looks I can't bring myself to drop $60 on a Farcry game. Despite all the critical praise 3 got it was in the bargin bin not long after release.
