How do I parry in this fucking game. Holy shit I can't

Light attack + direction of incoming attack after you see the enemy make an orange glint.

It's literally the easiest thing in the world.

So when that parry tutorial was offered up at the beginning of the game did you just decline? I always wonder.

I actually know how to parry. I would not be able to defeat Bladewolf without it but it's just so fucking... I even struggle to kill Mastiffs. Only defense is parry + that weird dodge I bought in customization and that's all.

I've beaten the game on hard and I can't parry. I've beaten the game at least 3 or 4 times too.

Push towards the enemy and do a light attack. If it gives you too much difficulty go back to the first couple levels and practice on the soldiers. Most of the time you can just mash that combination and do it without issue. You won't get perfect parries but you'll block shit, so fuck it.

If you're still ass after all of that just throw EMP grenades at him you casual. Armstrong or Sam will probably kick your shit in but that's a problem for another level.

Mastiffs have a charging throw so don't try to parry that. You can tell because the glint is yellow instead of orange.

Unlocked that dodge move on Armstrong after repeatedly throwing myself at him(fuck that made things easy).

Never god good at perfect parrying though. Usually pretty weak at it in most games that have it.

What I wonder why everyone goes on about how great of a boss fight it is. It's way to gimmicky.

I thought Sam's fight was best for that reason. It was mostly just you and him in a field. No shitty constantly interrupting the fight for some shitty throwing objects you have to slash/dodge, no constant interruption by trash enemies so you could refill your health bar. No million QTE's for every little thing you do.

It isn't just the attack + direction but the entire concept of the defense. On the harder difficulties you are forced to parry. You can thro out the entire combo system because it isn't worth to do it when one parry kills everything. Stupid as fuck.

I don't even start on the stupid buggy rank system here the game don't register perfect runs.
