Dark Souls III general. What are you expecting from the game in terms of Gameplay mechanics, character/world design, plot and all that other good shit?
I am intentionally avoiding spoilers and purposely not watching gameplay or commentary.
I am also setting my hopes extremely low and automatically going to presume the game is shit. After das2 I am very cautious to get hyped. But if I set my expectations incredibly low, I should enjoy the game even if it's a little good.
blue bar is for spells and weapons arts
miyazaki literally said archery will feel like you're legolas
>miyazaki literally said archery will feel like you're legolas
Some things I want in a Souls game but have never gotten:
1. Reduced grinding and much less RNG for farming. It's never fun to have to spend who knows how long trying to get a 10% drop rate item that will help you upgrade your weapon. It takes your personal control away from your game and leaves it up to the whims of the RNG gods.
2. Visually-amazing spells. Just look at Dragon's Dogma and make the game's spells look like that. I'm sick of Generic Fire Ball Variant #150 and Pew Pew Soul Arrow Variant #409.
3. Bosses that don't have blatantly stupid and obvious blindspots. I should not be able to beat a boss by hugging its ass (like Asylum Demon), or sidestrafing it (like Pursuer) or counter-rolling it (like Maria).
4. Finally, please give us interesting weapon visual effects when we imbue them with elemental properties. For example, a Fire Longsword should constantly be on fire. Similarly, a Crystal Halberd SHOULD LOOK LIKE IT HAS A TON OF CRYSTALS COMING OUT OF IT instead of looking like a generic Halberd.
Can't wait to see what bullshit they pull with whatever new katana there is
>6 gorillion damage
>50 times longer than a Washing Pole
>666 backstab multiplier
>Phantom range out the ass
Stuff I'm excited for
> Bosses with phases (like Bloodborne)
> Weapon Arts
> Mana bar
> Archery being viable to be more than a rarely used tool for cheesing.
Stuff I'm hoping for
> Good level design and world connectivity (with Myazaki directing I'm optimistic)
> hopefully less useless upgrade paths than DaS1
> Functional NetCode (I really dislike being backstabbed while I am standing behind my opponent....), this is unlikely.
> A finished, not rushed game.
Souls games always have absurd and large swords, although they mostly appear near the end, and the fashion looks to be really good this time around.
Also has the bonus of not even needing defense, as long as you're good you can just wear whatever looks good and say "Fuck stats"
>Bosses with phases (like Bloodborne)
Bosses have had phases since Dark Souls 1. Did you forget that Manus has certain spell attacks that he only uses once he's at half health.
Did you forget that later on in Dark Souls 2 Fume Knight goes in angry solo sword mode with unique moves once he's down 50 percent? Or similarly with Velstadt and The Last Giant?
The network test was the most gun I had with souls multilayer in a while. It was an endless stream of invasions, 2 fucking invasions at the same times, constantly. It was amazing. Waving around with my torch has got to be the best addition to the game
I'm serious here
I love the look of these huge weapon arts, but I'm pretty sure they're going to be basically useless. All of them take more than a second of charging up, cost mana and stamina, and don't look like they do anything you actually need to do.
They're never going to hit anyone who's actually awake in pvp, and I don't see any reason to use them over normal attacks in pve. I'm afraid they're going to be slightly better black knight weapon R2s.
>How about viable archery?
If Bloodborne's bow is any indication, DS3 archery is going to be crazy.
Sadly we're most likely going back to "1001 type of soul arrows, now with soul darts".
I wasn't wild about Dark Souls II
I really grew to love Bloodborne
Could go either way, the reasons why I didn't like DaS II that much were just artsy bullshit so gameplay wise I expect to like the third game as always.
They work like BB charged attacks where you can release any time during the charge attack. Couple this with the massive hyper armor you can probably catch people who try to dodge around you or continue holding the charge button and out trade them.
Obviously won't work against passive estoc turtle jap faggots but nothing works against that.
I avoided spoilers.
What I want, but certainly not expect to happen, is that enemies have some counter to laming with ranged weapons or at least try to run to a safe spot instead of standing there and waiting to die to 50 shots.
Characters: Just give me Patches and similar characters as always, IDGAF.
Who else here disappearing from 4chan when new gameplay starts to leak?
It's the last souls game for awhile and I want to make sure I play through it truly blind this time.
I spoiled the whole game of bloodborne for myself from watching wingman stream it and I wished I hadn't.
when will the "dark souls 2 is bad" meme end? ive been playing sotfs again to coop with 3 friends and been foing fight clubs as well, game's great and the matchmaking is amazing unlike BB's broken excuse of a matchmaking
The weapon arts do? That's pretty good news, hopefully it means they've actually put the work in to make them usable.
You're sure you aren't just thinking of the charged R2s themselves though?
According to some interview or something, longbows are going to be strong but require you to be stationary to fire, and might have a charged shot thing. Shortbows are fast and can fire after rolling, but do less damage per hit.
I thought I had a webm of the bow clip from the trailer, but apparently not.
~1:25 if someone wants to do it
>BB's broken excuse of a matchmaking
What the fuck are you even talking about, retard? BB has hands down best coop matchmaking in series that is possible across all soul levels without buttfucking you with soul memory and after pre-DLC patch invasion connectivity is top notch as well.
Reminder that japs get the game weeks before you do and you WILL be spoiled before you get to play it. They will also have created their own cancer meta before you have even started playing.
i fuken hated the greatsword in dark souls 2 though. It was so nice looking in 1 then in 2 they just stretched it out and make it look stupid as shit.
I don't really count that, that was reasonably sized. About as long as it is IRL.
Souls can be so funny sometimes.
Like, who would have EVER thought that binoculars (I repeat, BINOCULARS) could break the game the way they did early on in Dark Souls 2 before it was patched?
And who similarly would have thought that Bloodborne would suffer from a memory leak issue early on after release that caused all bosses to go down to zero in terms of difficulty?
You can't make this sort of shit up.
You can't tell me that you didn't grind for Blood Rocks in Bloodborne, or Pure Bladestones in Demon's Souls, or whatever slabs you grinded for in Dark Souls 1 or 2. You can't tell me that having to spend potentially hours to get weapons like Balder Side Sword in Dark Souls 1 is fun.
Not balanced as in too easy? I've done sorcery builds on both DaS 1 and 2 and have found it really easy, both in PvE and PvP (mainly because retards don't know how to avoid homing crystal soulmass). Plus the spells in DaS3 look fast and awesome.
That is what I meant, yes. And I think it'll only get even easier in DaS3, archery included because they keep improving ranged attacks but the enemy AIs remain too stupid to deal with it in any way. I don't think they've fixed because they would've showed it off if they had.
2012:Dark Souls DLC
2014:Dark Souls 2 + DLC
2015:Bloodborne + SOTFS
2016:Dark Souls 3 (and you can be 100 percent certain there will be DLC released in either late 2016 or early 2017)
Should I get this on PS4 or PC?
Clearly, PC will be capped at 30fps again, so now it comes down to which game will have the most playerbase?
From one perspective - PC is a winner here, but many Soulsbros switched to PS4 because of Bloodborne and fucking cheaters on PC will ruin online.
It would give them liberty to try new things which could end up horribly, or really well like Bloodborne. I feel like Miyazaki is done with them though, and judging by DaS2 I think he's crucial to make them work.
Bloodborne doesn't even have SOULS in it dude lol
its fukkin blood echoes
ye its designed like a souls game but theres no real armor, no sword n board
its not a souls game. demon SOULS dark SOULS dark SOULS 2 dark SOULS 3 bloodborne <---- something missing here?
Bad world design
Terrible and recycled bosses
Awful combat mechanics which were so bad they're actually reverting them in Dark Souls 3
They shoved a ton of mediocre content together in a short space of time and made a royal mess of it. Just like the second half of Dark Souls its representative of a rush job but it shows throughout the majority of the game
fatrolling in havels?
i fought dudes cartwheeling in havels
thats all i fought that wore havels man
>elite knight armor
>black iron legs
>that reaper hood i forget what its called
best outfit in game
If there is an FPS cap it will be unlocked day 1 by some modder.
PS4 will probably have less cheaters though. If you have any friends getting it I would just try to get it on the same console as them.
If I've bought a PS4 by April then I could see myself buying it on PS4 first and then maybe the full edition with DLC included for PC whenever that comes out.
I'm personally getting the PC version for three main reasons:
1. 60 fps. No brainer that this is a must in action games like Souls.
2. Graphics mods that will make the game as beautiful as it can be. Seriously, pic related DESERVES to be played on super high resolutions with graphics mods to perfect it.
3. You'll avoid wasting time grinding for low drop items. Just cheat engine it in. I once wasted 4 hours trying to get Pure Bladestone in Demon's Souls. Never again will I do shit like that.
The only reason why PC would be bad is that there will definitely be more cheaters. But I never worry about that shit because I always play solo and offline.
or just not boring old classics like fireball and blue magic-thing bolt
I dunno, something like casting a swarm of flies, spraying poison or summoning bayonetta's gigantic foot stomp
most of those complains are PvE focused, and I dislike PvE in Das2 so i cant really deny any of those flaws
but at the same time i dont really care about any of these since PvP is the primary reason I play souls games, with DaS2 i simply give myself all the items for my build when i start a new one so i can PvP asap
this is why DaS2 is for me the best souls game sans DeS since that game had the most fun PVP, DaS2 has the most viable weapons and the largest amount of different builds
An even worse community
A huge amount of shitposting on /v/ about DK3, and even more shitposting about that shitposting
Not that many new features to make it feel super fresh, but enough to take off the old smell
Still not good as level design as Dark Souls
The same utterly fucked up netcode and online that fucks up all the time
And a pretty fun and overall enjoyable game, that will be called shit by /v/ because it isnt perfect
>i mean it FEELS like a souls game
>mechanics dont count.
I'm getting it on PS4 first, since it has no cheaters yet.
>PCucks still salty they will never ever play BB while being forever stuck with CE niggers
god damn just give me good combat, athmosphere and clever and logical level design.
That will be more than plenty
The core design is identical to Souls, yes the story and world is standalone which is why it bears a different name but it's still very much a part of that style of game
-You have the same stats under different names, you gain a resource from enemies that can either be spent on levels or items
-You have the same combat mechanics but sped up with some new tricks
-You go through a level which ends in a boss that is behind a fog wall
-Instead of telling a direct story you piece it together from dialogue and descriptions
-The UI is identical to Souls
It's a Souls game with a different coat of paint
>pvp is the primary reason I play souls games
£21.84 good old cdkeys.com
£20.53 here if anyone has ever used this place? http://www.play4cheap.com/Dark-Souls-3-Steam-Cd-Key
You know what I want in Souls when it comes to magic?
>Finally, please give us interesting weapon visual effects when we imbue them with elemental properties. For example, a Fire Longsword should constantly be on fire. Similarly, a Crystal Halberd SHOULD LOOK LIKE IT HAS A TON OF CRYSTALS COMING OUT OF IT instead of looking like a generic Halberd.
Wasn't that already a thing?
Here is your (you)
It is not a souls game, it is a completely different game that uses the same mechanics and combat.
It is set in a different universe with a different setting. The lore, characters, world and story are its own and share nothing with the Souls games.
yeah, ive played them for thousands of hours and made hundreds of builds, invasions are the most fun i ever had with any video game
not talking about faggy duels, actual invasions that put me against 3 or 4 people while i use any means necessary to bring them down
Don't know about that other site but CDkeys is legit, I have bought many games from them over the years.
Shit wrong link, here is English
You wot m8?
Magic was Dark Souls: Easy mode
Let me foresee what's gonna happen,
>Huge amounts of shitposting, people telling other people to get Dragon's Dogma instead and so on.
>People will never touch Dark Souls II again after playing Dark Souls III and won't be talked about, unless it's a bait thread and people will answer to it: >playing ds2
>Those who loved Dark Souls II will complain about how easy the game is now, looking back at Soul Memory and the limitations of coop and invasions
>It will be given the name of the worthy sequel of Dark Souls, as you can do anything you wish with your souls, with no worries over increasing your Soul Memory
>Since there will be bigger levels, people will complain about the quantity of diverse scenarios
>Wizards get cool looking spells and life is good again
>Most people on /v/ will hate on DSIII because of its popularity, despite being the last dark souls game as said before
>Bloodborne will still be alive, while PS4 owners will shitpost with their golden faces even though the majority of /v/ own a PS4.
Screenshot this because it will be true
Game isn't out yet and people are already shitting it up with min max faggotry?
Truly 4chan is the worst fucking place to discuss this great series of games. Most of you niggers haven't even touched Demons's Souls and are PC only.
I don't know what's worse, the fact that you think you're being funny pretending to be retarded or the possibility that you might actually believe your retarded shit.
I know you think you are being le epic troll making people mad on the internet but you look like a retard.
They were actually really good. Most of them have a couple different moves, so the opponent doesn't know which is coming, if any at all because you can also feint into just a regular attack. You also got hyper armor with the greatsword and mace. The longsword had a guelard break for one of its arts.
Thanks for the (you)
So you're just arguing semantics, that's fine. If a game has the exact same design as something else I'd consider them related but Bloodborne isn't called Blood Souls so I guess it isn't a Souls game, technically.
In Crash you're going through a straight level that has a linear path
In J&D you're exploring an open area and talking to characters, the focus is on exploration and doing different objectives within the level
they are so dissimilar in design I can't believe you chose them for your argument
Ps4 all the way. Souls on pc are a cheaters haven. Everyone uses CE to get whatever the fuck they want while with Ps4 there really isn't much choice but to get the work done like everyone else. Pvp makes this a lot more fair as well. Also, souls games sell better on console so you'll have a bigger playerbase
>what is a charged r2?
Summoning your own dead buddies out of dead PVE mobs to help you when you get invaded
>Bloodbourne isn't a Souls game with a different name
Come one now, I love Bloodborne, but you'd have to be retarded to think it isn't basically a Souls game at it's core.
Over 1.2m, and you know they don't count digital (as far as I know)
I'm not including other consoles.
However, with sotfs that's not the case
http://steamspy.com/app/335300 over 500k copies
If we included digital sales, they'd about the same.
Honestly, I'd get it on PC first if it wasn't because they like to cheat.
I feel like people are actually interested in what I say.
Is this what having friends feels like ?
alright so say someone makes a sonic adventure game right? already shit right yeah but thats not the point
say they put in dark souls / blood borne mechanics
would you call Sonic Adventure X a fucking souls game?
>mechanics DONT count.
Not the doll, but the exact same model
>i'm so much of an autist I don't know how conversation works
A thread should always have around a 2:1 ratio.
One person make a post one person post replying back to him and then he replies back.
That is how conversation work retard.
Its not a souls game.
Its made by the dudes that made Souls. so it feels like a souls game.
its just the way they made it.
bloodborne has nothing to do with souls at all besides having the same mechanics
Please. Soulsfags aren't Fromdrones.
90 percent of Soulsfags will not play a From game aside from Souls or Souls spin-offs like Bloodborne.
They won't play Armored Core. Or Metal Wolf Chaos. Or King's Field. Or Echo Night. Or Steel Batallion. Or Otogi. Or anything else.
Just SoulsBorne. That's why they aren't Fromdrones. Fromdrones are cool. Soulsdrones are shit.
I haven't played Lords of the Fallen so I can't speak for myself but if you look up the game anywhere the word Souls will pop up 99% of the time. The game apparently uses a lot of the mechanics from the Souls series, such as experience that drops when you die, you have bonfires that replenish your healing items, the combat revolves around stamina management and blocking/dodging, that at least warrants a sticker that says 'souls-like'
can't really say more since I haven't actually played it
>only 4 hours
You were one of the lucky ones, son. That's nothing.
Oh god I seriously fucking hope "soulslike" is not going to become a genre itself in the future, the way roguelike did.
>million+1 indie shit on steam with the tag "Soulslike".
>souls games have been wrung dry and are an
undeadhusk of its former self.
What a cruel fate. I almost wish people(including myself) didn't even buy demons souls when it first came out, so From would never have made dark souls, so it wouldn't have become such a fuckin meme game.
She's actually filled with whipped cream, that's why she's so sweet.
D O L L
Is there even another possible answer?
Nobody played those games because they were oxbox exclusives, which doesn't have emulation, and some of which weren't even released outside of japan
MWC was sick but don't be a hipster cunt about it
I still dont understand why DaSII was suddenly hated 6 months later. I remmeber the initial hype and the few threads complaining about the lighting but I still enjoyed it a lot, sunk about 180 hours into it and only 20 or so were dedicated to PVP. I never bothered with the generals so maybe thats why i missed out on the sudden shift.
I liked it more than Bloodborne though, that game had no replayability until the DLC and the chalice dungeons were total ass
>Coming from Dark Souls II producer Takeshi Miyazoe, when asked about a potential Wii U version...
>“No. (followed by laughter) Wii U never came up, and we never doubted that (decision) either. It was more of a company decision, so I wasn’t the one that decided this, but I think the audience for the Wii U is a lot different from the audience for Dark Souls.”
The Fair Lady
I've got a thing for pale, sickly girls too weak to stop me forcing myself on them
>You were one of the lucky ones, son. That's nothing.
See, that's exactly my point. I was lucky. You, unfortunately, weren't. The RNG gods were being kind to me that one particular time. For some people, they can get a rare drop in 10 seconds from the first enemy you kill that has that specific drop. Some people might take 10 minutes. Some might take 10 hours. Some might take 10 days.
That is the problem with RNG-based item drops. Your ability to get them has nothing to do with your skill. It is completely dependant on the whims of the RNG gods and whether or not they're feeling nice today. It's luck-based. It takes control away from you and gives it to a dice throw.
I really don't understand how ANYONE can enjoy this or defend this.
I would give you a youtube link with glitch as I had to look it up myself but if you are too stupid to google it yourself then you aren't the type of person I would want to encourage to stay on the internet.
>I still dont understand why DaSII was suddenly hated 6 months later
Some e-celeb made a video criticizing it, and suddenly everyone agreed. Granted, DaS II is the weakest in the series but still, e-celeb fanboys are the worst
That's no excuse. Armored Core games are multiplatform. Barely any Soulsdrones play them.
So even if all those other games were released multiplatform and/or in the US, Soulsdrones won't play them because they're all faggots.
Gotta max the shit out of that pickaxe if you want to hit her putrid pus-dripping spider epygine bruv cuz you gotta dig her dead butt out of its burial recess in that wall of fossilized demon shit
Jennifer Connelly was one of the most beautiful women in the world in the late 1990s and early 2000s. She had some of the best natural beauty and curves I've seen in a woman.
Now she looks like this.
Yea, it's a pretty good point, rng is fuckin shit. It's just unfortunate that there's not many ways to implement any other method of getting these rare items.
Other than maybe having to kill a specific enemy a specific way to get the drop. But even then, word would get out of how to do it and it wouldn't be rare at all anymore.
bloodborne isn't a souls game
different mechanics looks different, feels different, different story might and only retains some of the basics
might as well call final fantasy 7 - 10 rehashes while you're at it
a re-release isn't a new fucking game you dumbfucks
it's called releasing the same game again and that coincidentally made it better
I prefer her to wither like that without giving a fuck than destroying her face with surgery.
it kinda give her past beauty an added value
also she's not really that bad, just age gonna age
ah right, this was a /tv/ meme
I fapped to much worst stuff, that won't be a big deal though.
You can remove the RNG factor completely and still make them hard to obtain. So, for example, let's say you want a super rare item. Like a rare sword. Instead of killing a monster until the RNG gods grant you the rare sword, how about you cut off their tail or horn or break their shells or whatever? At the same time, make it so that doing so is hard.
Like cutting off Kalameet's tail to get the Obsidian Greatsword. Or Seath's tail for the Moonlight Greatsword. It's hard to do, but it has zero RNG involved.
You can do the same for things like Titanite Slabs. Have specific monsters made completely out of Titanite (like the Titanite Demon in Dark Souls 1) and make it so that you have to break certain parts of their body to get the slab.
>Fromdrones are cool. Soulsdrones are shit.
Being a drone is not a good thing you flaming faggot.
>tfw i love cloth physics
>bb has all those trench coats and robes
>almost bought a fucking ps4 for it
will ds3 have that too? all the outfits i have seen are either small capes or scarfs
They wotn play them because most are hot garbage. AC and MWC aside, nobody should be forced to play those shit games. From got lucky with Demon Souls so they've been rolling with it after AC started getting less and less appealing.
The purpose isn't to create a barrier, it's to create unique runs. If you get dropped a ridiculous spear, you might change your build around it. By the same token, you can't rely on getting that spear the second time around. Cheat it in if it suits you, but that's not a design flaw.
RNG shenanigans was even worse in DaS2 due to enemy despawning. Weren't able to obtain that item you needed? LOL TOUGH SHIT FAGGOT, BURN AN ASCETIC AND TRY AGAIN. Especially annoying for consumables that you use over and over again
But yeah, alternative methods are better that you bypass the need for random drops, period. Instead of making me grind for some rare item, why not have every piece of armor, weapon, etc available as a placed item somewhere in the world rather than having it rely entirely on RNG? As for hard to obtain usable items like titanite slabs and chunks, why not just have them available (consistently) if doing certain multiplayer stuff like dorkmoons or dickwraiths?
It's a luck-based mechanic. I don't feel any sense of satisfaction or accomplishment spending either 10 minutes or 10 days trying to get a drop for a rare item/weapon.
And if I'm not grinding and suddenly get a super rare item accidentally?
My first thought is: "Man, I'm worried. I hope I haven't drained all my luck for this character so that I can get whatever it is I want later on without spending too much time farming for it."
This luck-based mechanic doesn't make me better at PvE. It doesn't make me better at PvP. It doesn't make me grow as a player. It's just an unnecessary factor of luck and randomness.
Join the fucking champion's covenant
It keeps enemies from respawning
I hate how people keep making this complaint, yes the game has issues, but this is not one of them
Though RNG-weapon drops should not be a thing in a souls game
>join the champions
>I hate how people keep making this complaint
This fix was only introduced in scholars of the first sin.
In the original release of DaS2, there was nothing you could do to prevent enemy despawning. Yes, it' fixed now, but that doesn't change the fact that this was not the case when I and the majority of players actually went through the game. This criticism of DaS2 is still valid, although I'm glad they finally fixed it a year later.
>"Man, I'm worried. I hope I haven't drained all my luck for this character so that I can get whatever it is I want later on without spending too much time farming for it."
Anon I agree with most of what you said but this is retarded. You should know full well that's not how the drops work and if you think something so retarded you have no one but yourself to blame.
I disagree RNG drops should be remove completely, the one thing they do, as the person you responded to said is they make playthoughs unique. You aren't really SUPPOSED to farm for them. That's why sometimes in DaS they would make enemies like the Black Knights who dropped rare shit, not respawn. It's supposed to be a through of the dice every time if you get to playthough the game with the Halberd or BK Sword.
I think what they did in DaSII was dumb though. Any remotely special piece of equipment has to be farmed, sometimes from the same enemy who can drop repeat drops so if you're trying to get an armor set you're fucked. Really, making armor sets outside like a unique helmet, drops was a bad idea unless they were gonna drop the whole set at once.
Honestly, I thought Bloodborne was perfect on this. There were enough stones spread out in the game to easily level one weapon to +10 (2 on the DLC) and another to +9. All weapons were found or the consequence of a 100% drop.
I just hope they don't do shit like the Burial Blade or the Rakuyo and Bloodletter again, placing the weapon at the end of endgame zones, Although I got a shitload of use out of my Burial Blade by ignoring every side path and rushing to it, because it was buyable only after Gehrman, I was very overleveled when I did shit like Cainhurst and Upper Cathedral Ward.
One that fix is new so not everyone knows it became a thing (by the way it became a thing BECAUSE people complained) and not only that it doesn't even solve the problem. There are still special phantoms and enemies who only spawn under certain conditions or don't re-spawn even when in the covenant.
The RNG drops in DaSII are excessive, stop trying to convince yourself otherwise just because you're autistic enough to enjoy farming.
That's fucking retarded shit, and yes, it does block content. Normally when you create a second or third character, you want to make a build based around a certain weapon. Making it so that weapon is a random drop, means you're locked out of that particular direction until the RNG gods decide to aid you. If it's a rare drop from a fucking non-respawning enemy, you have to restart the game in order to make that build.
It's a shit fucking way of doing things, mate.
I disliked the idea of Burial Blade which you can only get by beating the "final" boss. I was kinda OK with Rakuyo though because really if you beat Amelia, then get to the DLC and beat up to Maria that's all you have to do to get it. Also I liked how you obtained it and its relationship with the lore.
> You should know full well that's not how the drops work
I was basically talking about the game's version of the Desire Sensor. That's what I was describing. That's just RNG being evil. To quote one definition I found from a quick Google search, the Desire Sensor is: "A gamer superstition. The Desire Sensor detects what rare item, or event you are farming for, and prevents the game from giving it to you. Only when you forget about it, or no longer need it will the item drop, or event happen."
>I think what they did in DaSII was dumb though.
It's basically the same RNG-based spirit of making playthroughs unique taken to a much more idiotic extent. I'm not gonna argue that the RNG is much worse in Dark Souls 2, but at the same time, it's just a dumber form of RNG that was already in previous Souls games.
If you want to have randomness, fine. But it should not be in things like RNG item drops. You already get tons of randomness through PvP. You never know when you're gonna get invaded and what the invader will bring to the table.
Question to anyone who played the PTR:
Okay, in DaS2 is you R1'd right after rolling (while locked onto a target), it wouldn't redirect your attack in the direction of the tagrte you were locked on to, it would send you way off target attack out to the side somewhere.
Does DaS3 have the old system from DaS1 and Bloodborne, where if you R1 after rolling, the attack actually goes towards the thing you're locked onto?
This shit was aids in DaS2.
don't listen to this retard
It's always worth to pick up DS2. It's different, but still a great game with its own little quirks. Also, DS1 gameplay was clunkier, I think DS3 will have some of the snappiness of DS2
Look at this picture, while listening to this song.
NOW TRY NOT TO CRY
>yes, it does block content.
Yes, it does, I didn't disagree. I said you were retarded for blaming the game for you not understanding how luck works in the context of the game. Your luck can't "run out" I was calling you retarded for saying that. I agree 100 percent, it does block content. That's not what we disagree on, you insist that's automatically bad, I do not.
Blocking content is what a game should do. Are you saying every weapon, spell, armor and ring should be available from the start? But if not aren't they blocking content? Of course they are, because it's a fucking video game, you block content. That's what you do. You block content till people meet certain requirements. Again, your argument should not be "they block content" because blocking content isn't inherently bad. If they didn't REALLY hide some shit there would be no excitement from fining rare shit. If you had read my post carefully you would have realized I agree with you that DaSII took it too far.
One problem I feel is you sound like you look shit up, newsflash guy, we don't all do that. Even on second playthoughs. I didn't even know most of the rare drops I was missing. You say "you have to restart the game" really is someone holdign a gun to your head an saying "YOU MUST USE THIS WEAPON" No? Then you agree you don't HAVE to. You choose to because you've chosen to use a specific weapon. What weapon are you even referring to, I can't even think of a weapon early enough in the game that restarting would be faster than burning a bonfire aesthetic aside from maybe the Old Whip but it's not a drop and is an example of a rare secret weapon that I enjoy the existence of and difficulty to obtain.
skipping it isnt a big deal, the single player story in ds2 is pretty shit compared to ds1 and ds3 comes out soon enough
is it on sale or something? i wouldnt pay more than $10 for it
>not just unlocking to juke people in DaS1
Jesus dude, learn to aim your weapons. I swear half the complaints about DS2 stem from people just not figuring shit out.
Both of the streamers I asked during the NT said that DS3 lets you use either scheme, but I'm not sure how they checked that since I thought that menus, etc. weren't available.
>"A gamer superstition
There you go, the reason I called you retarded. You are blaming a game for your own retarded superstitions. Again, you don't have to believe this, there is literally no merit to it, you choose to because it FEELS true. So fuck you. Keep your superstitions and feelings to yourself, they aren't criticism to be leveled against the game. Stop being a retard and this isn't a problem anymore, it's never been a problem for me because I'm not a superstitious moron who gets anxious then blames the game for it.
>If you want to have randomness, fine. But it should not be in things like RNG item drops.
Explain. I can' argue against your points if you just present things as fact and don't explain. How was it taken "to an idiotic extent"? What level of uniqueness in playthoughs is possible? Honestly the issue here is you want to be able to make any character you want from the start of the game, I don't agree the player should have that power. I enjoy randomness to playthoughs no invasion are not enough. See that's what I mean by no argument. You just say "invasions are enough" even though they have nothing to do with what were talking about. Ok dude "Invasions are not enough is my argument". Focus on talking about RNG buddy, you're all over the place and I can't even respond to it.
>but I'm not sure how they checked that since I thought that menus, etc. weren't available.
some streamers probably don't even know what you're talking about and just made up shit.
I'm not the guy talking about spending luck, mate. He replied to you above.
>Are you saying every weapon, spell, armor and ring should be available from the start?
No. I think every weapon, spell, armor and ring should be available to players able to overcome the challenge to get it, not through dumb luck. Blocking content isn't putting up in game obstacles, it's preventing the player from accessing the content.
None of the equipment in Bloodborne is blocked to a player that wants it, but not all of it is easily attainable either. I'd rather have a frustrating encounter like the well for the Rakuyo, than have it as a 10% drop on defeating Maria. One encourages you to up your game and come up with strategies, one fucks you out of content for absolutely no good reason.
>I didn't even know most of the rare drops I was missing. You say "you have to restart the game" really is someone holdign a gun to your head an saying "YOU MUST USE THIS WEAPON" No? Then you agree you don't HAVE to.
No, you fucking moron. What happens is you lose motivation to play because that particular way you wanted to experience the game isn't available to you.
The difference between +9 and +10 is minor for most weapons, it didn't bother me much.
Leaving a weapon at +9 is like leaving a major build stat at something that doesn't end with 5 or 0.
>You are blaming a game for your own retarded superstitions
Jesus fucking Christ, chill the fuck out. The Desire Sensor is used in RPGs and games that have plenty of RNG for loot. Nobody actually believes it exists the way eagles or monkeys or butterflies exist. Chill.
Anyway, the difference between the randomness of PvP/online and the randomness of item drops is that you can simply turn off the randomness of PvP/online by simply going offline. You can choose to relinquish or maintain control of your game by the simple click of a WiFi router button. If people want that, fine. I'm not one to enjoy PvP/coop, so I never turn online on in my game.
In contrast, the randomness of item drops is completely out of your control. You can't choose to turn it on or off. You have to cheat to bring control back into your hands. Otherwise, it's just giving the player less control and leaving things to the RNG dice.
Man I think the exact opposite. I think the industry is in desperate need of games that don't hold your hand and that you aren't guaranteed to win if you don't acquire the necessary level of skill.
I know what you mean. But whatcha gonna do?
>I'm not the guy talking about spending luck, mate. He replied to you above.
I realized that after posting, not sure why you responded like you were him if you weren't though.
>Blocking content isn't putting up in game obstacles, it's preventing the player from accessing the content.
OK well that's your own special definition so don't get mad at me that you can't express your ideas properly. "Blocking content" means "blocking content" it does not mean "blocking content behind luck based challenges" which I know understand is what you take issue with and again, if you read my post you'd see I agree.
>No, you fucking moron. What happens is you lose motivation to play because that particular way you wanted to experience the game isn't available to you.
And as I pointed out this will only happen to you if you look shit up and insist on being a min max faggot. I already asked and you wouldn't answer, what weapon are you talking about? Every really rare weapon I can think of has a less rare counterpart that is usually exactly the same bar slight stat differences. In other words, if you really wanna play through with a Katana you can, it might take a while to find teh Berserker Blade or the Blacksteel Katana but if you wanna use a Katana you can with the only downside being slightly less damage. Your argument is weak because you agree people shouldn't just get whatever weapon they want at the start but then your argument here is "What if you can't play how you want from the start".
Also dude I agree DaSII went too far I just think you an the other guy are pussies because you're crying about not being able to get your precious Blacksteel Katana whose black blade is ever so much more elegant. Like seriously faggot, enough of this vague, hypothetical bullshit, start naming me some weapons you can't get easily and have no common counterpart.
>giant bladed blow that fires destruction arrows and is fast as fuck
>giant minigun of rapid fire mounted on back
>geroge washingtons hair
I DON'T UNDERSTAND
I DON'T UNDERSTAND ANY OF THIS
>Jesus fucking Christ, chill the fuck out.
Did I hurt your feewings with my swears. I'll chill out when you stop acting like an actual child. Bring up bizarre superstitions as arguments then being surprised when it makes me mad. Not shit it makes me mad asshole, you are having a discussion with someone and have the nerve you use your personal superstitions as an arguing point. Don't bother opening your stupid trucking mouth if you can't stay relevant, on topic and deal with being insulted. Welcome to 4chan, is this your first post?
>The Desire Sensor is used in RPGs and games that have plenty of RNG for loot.
I'm baffled, what the fuck are you even talking about. It's "used" how is it used besides by retards who don't understand how luck works? I've certainly never "used" it because I'm not a retard.
> Nobody actually believes it
Then what was the purpose of bringing it up? I still don't see it other than you trying to use your own retarded feelings as a reason why drops are bad.
Not even reading the rest of your post till you address this. What a retarded thing to say.
I agree completely. I think entire /v/ has gone down the fucking dumpster.
I've gotten warned twice for saying AGDQ is nothing but e-celeb tryhard faggotry that should belong in fucking /vg/
AGDQ is a stream
a video game stream
with e-celeb speed runners
who beg for money on twitch
yet it gets a fucking pass
why? 'cos /v/ is a shit hole now
I thought I could take it. How silly of me.
I've been crying for the past five minutes and it's just gotten down now.
Not even sobbing, but full blown clawing-at-my-chest crying with throaty wailing and all.
In my defense alcohol makes me emotional and I've been drinking quite a bit.
Please someone tell me you can relate so I can feel less like a fag.
Dude, what? The concept of "desire sensor" is as old as time. It's like when you are digging through your legos for a certain piece and can't find it, then later when you need a different piece you find like 10 of that first one. It's just a joke people make about luck. Lighten up.
The doll just wants love.
Yet you abandon her in the end. You leave her to rot by herself, to forever mourn over the one person who gave her a gift and made her feel joy.
You're a terrible person.
Well, fuck me for thinking I could have a good discussion with you.
I should have known that wouldn't be possible from the moment you decided to fling ad hominems at me several posts back.
Have a good day.
I understand the concept retard. Go back through my post and try answering every question. My point was you tried to use what you called both a "joke" and a "superstition" as an arguing point for why RNG is bad. I pointed out your point is only a negative if you're a retard and actually believe it. You said no one belives it. SO WHATS THE FUCKING POINT.
WHAT IS YOUR POINT.
WHAT IS YOUR FUCKING POINT.
I get the fucking concept, explain how its fucking relevant to anyone who isn't a retard and thinks its true.
>OK well that's your own special definition so don't get mad at me that you can't express your ideas properly
No, mate. That's the definition we've all been using throughout the thread. No one's mad you have to deal with some enemies or kill a boss to get an item.
>if you look shit up and insist on being a min max faggot.
Neither of those is necessary. When I first got A Call Beyond, I wanted to make an arcane build, but my character then was dex/bt focused. The way that it's set up, I can always get ACB if I play through the Upper Cathedral Ward, and can make my build. No looking up or min/maxing necessary. Now if I got a Black Knight Greataxe on my dex run, I better fucking pray that bitch drops on the second, otherwise I'm shit out of luck and have to either restart the game or play with a different weapon. It's demotivating because nothing I did has any influence over the outcome. I didn't lose the weapon because I fucked up, I lost it because RNG and fuck me.
In the Abandoned old Workshop is another doll. If you look very closely you can see her finger twitch when you're around her. She's facing in the direction of the ornament that you give to the doll in the Hunter's Workshop. She watches as you steal her precious ornament without remorse. There's still life in her, yet she's not capable of moving or speaking outside of giving any passerby a hint of life with a tap of her fingers.
You're a terrible person. Why can't you stop causing so much pain?
>sperging out this much on a Chinese cartoonboard
So cute. Have some headpats.
Following the post trail back from what I can tell the guy said
>"Man, I'm worried. I hope I haven't drained all my luck for this character so that I can get whatever it is I want later on without spending too much time farming for it."
Which was obviously said jokingly and had nothing to do with the point he was making.
Then you lost your shit because judging from your posts you're genuinely autistic.
>bad mouths me for using ad hominem while providing arguments
>switches solely to responding with ad hominem
Only a pussy runs off crying about ad hominem when they get insulted but are still being given arguments to respond to.
You choose to insult me, not answer my arguments and not pose anymore. This ends a discussion far more than insulting someone because again, only a pussy runs off crying because they got called a retard.
who shat in your cereal this morning
>Which was obviously said jokingly and had nothing to do with the point he was making.
Really how did you discern this? Because nothing else in his post is a valid argument against RNG drops which he was trying to form an argument against. Without that line his argument in that post falls apart because without that line he can't turn the excitement from getting an unexpected rare drop into a bad thing which is essential to him proving "RNG is evil" (his exact words) and has no benefit.
You didn't read very carefully but in reality we both know you probably are him anyway so that's probably why.
Its the same doll family, she's trying to point to what she wants and we're all good hunters and brought what she wanted to her as a gift
Whatevs, breh. I've got a ton of reaction images I've been meaning to use but haven't had the chance to. Just keep sperging out and getting butthurt and flinging your shit all over the place and I'll keep the images coming.
i played a lot of dark souls 1, spent like a hundred hours just enjoying it alone, then i watched pvp videos and wanted to do that, so i had to make a new character every fucking time i saw something cool that emarrel did and it took a long ass time to get to the build, try it out for an hour, get bored and find a new build.
i got really good at pvp, i used to wonder how the fuck people could have so many fucking souls and humanities but after a day or so in oolacile and doing honoraburr duerls in undead burg i suddenly found myself at 5 gorillion souls and googly eyes manatees.
after a while i decided to get into cheat engine, it was really sketchy but i got it to work, best time of my life.
this was around the time when pewdiepie did his videos on dark souls and it injected a lot of new blood into the game, invasions was instant and it was glorious to chase poor drake sword using scrubs around parish while my body was scaled down so that i looked like a skinny skeleton and i would have this hotkey where i could teleport every single enemy mob right on top of my head as well as the host.
it was great to have them try to wade through an ocean of undead mobs, trying not to die while i did the trident dance and ran around with two skeleton wheels.
i'd give people slabs and shit if they could get through my gay ass trials.
man, i miss dark souls 1.
thanks for reading my blog ass post, sucker
>I'll keep the images coming.
Please do, nothing demonstrates how stupid someone is than thinking reaction images (that you didn't even make and I've likely seen a thousand times) are a burn.
Ooh black Old Spice guy is disappointed in me? Damn you got me bro, you sure proved RNG is shit.
Wow. You are really taking this personally.
I know right?
Gehrman doesn't deserve her. To him she's just a cheap Maria substitute. But we love her for who she is.
>Really how did you discern this?
By not being autistic. When somebody jokes that a watched pot never boils most people's initial reaction is not to lose their shit and call them retarded for thinking that eyesight can prevent water from boiling.
>that disgusting red glow covering everything
I'm expecting rage-inducing hitboxes, annoying pvpers that min-max stupid sets to be overpowered and spend eight hours a day invading, boring level design that allows players to cheese 99% of the enemies in the game, and a later level enemy or two thrown into a shitty area near the beginning as a boss?
Most people don't joke about that when having an argument about the fastest way to get the pot to boil either.
Also welcome to the internet, where no one knows your tone. Assuming someone is gonna know you made a "joke" in the middle of an argument is down right retarded. Especially when you ask them three items to explain how its relevant an they just keep explaining the concept and not how its relevant.
Also that's bullshit because I said I understood it was a joke and that because of that it wasn't relevant and you insisted it was and when asked how you just said "It's a joke man". I think you actually have mental problems if you don't see the issue here.
>It doesn't work the way I want so it's not good
I prefer the ability to direct attacks at different enemies while staying locked on to one. If you want something different then that's fine, but that doesn't make the system bad.
>DS2 is restrictive as fuck
DS2 is the opposite. It adds more options, but it forces you to learn and deal with the changes if you want to git gud.
Like I said above, if you like the system from DS1 more then whatever, but some people like the system from 2 more.
>Most people don't joke about that when having an argument about the fastest way to get the pot to boil either.
Actually that would be a very good time to make that joke because it's related to the topic. Why would you think otherwise?
j/k I know it's because of autism
Thats obscene. Im hoping it remains viable but that's the level of damage that Greatbows in DS2 caused. Im guessing because of the stupid reduced health summons/invaders have,.
I had an Archer in DS2 but by the DLC missions it began to be less and less viable for dealing even with mobs.
Main game was ok though.
>Why would you think otherwise?
Because if this scenario is actually comparable to ours the two individuals would be having an argument, just as we were. When people argue, their town is more aggressive. Now, since I can't hear your tone on the internet, I assumed it stayed the same, why would it change mid argument? Especially when the next thing you say supports your argument (if you think it's actually true).
So in this imaginary scenario two people are angrily arguing over he fastest way to get the pot to boil and one of them says, in an argumentative tone, not a joking one, "Yea, well we shouldn't watch it because a watched pot never boils" Yes I would probably ask him if he were serious, just a I did to you. When I asked if you were serious in thinking that was a good argument you explained the concept to me, how was I to take this if not a "Yes".
Besides this is all bullshit because you did mean it seriously because it was essential to your argument that no matter what RNG is evil even when getting unexpected drops. If that's not true why did you use it as an argument? No, it's actually not a joke if you say it in the middle of an argument in response to someone else's argument.
If you think it is you suck at making jokes.
Jesus fuck this looks like hot garbage.
Completely forgot how bad DS2 is in terms of visuals.
That damage was only possible on fully-charged shot which will only hit if you strike from stealth. It's around 300 per shot on normal ones.
I wasn't really talking about the ability to swing away from your lockon target.
Stuff like only being able to turn ~90 degrees between attacks with faster weapons, the dead zones on the controller, having to wait after rolling in a direction to attack in another direction, rolling always changing your characters facing direction in general, the neutered spell and throwing free aim, etc
I don't like the change to the way lockon works, but I can see the potential benefits to it to people who don't want to be locking on and off a lot, or dealing with the camera controls while fighting. It can be a hassle, with people switching grip styles and shit to manage all the necessary inputs. If DaS3 allows both its the best of both worlds, although I expect better players will tend towards DaS1's system preferring either is perfectly valid.
The various other changes though, all they do is reduce options. There's no depth added when you remove something. Changes like being able to cancel attacks with rolls more easily add depth, forcing you to use the binoculars if you want to cast a spell without locking on does the opposite, and the game has a lot more changes like the latter than the former mechanics wise.
>but that doesn't make the system bad
The system is bad from a design standpoint though. In DaS1 locking on stays locked on, all attacks direct to that target, unlocked gives you full freedom if you want to go for boss limbs etc.
Both do their actual job, in DaS2 locking on is simply broken by design, as your attacks don't direct to the actual locked on target after rolling.
You're also frozen in place while in an attack animation in DaS2, where as you can actually turn in DaS1 to bait.
It's simply poorly design in DaS2.
There is almost always hostility in an argument on these boards. As I said many times, if you can't handle it leave. I am far from the only one who is going to call you a retarded fucker in an argument.
Sorry that I don't come into arguments on 4chan assuming everyone is super special nice and respectful. I don't assume this because it's often not the case.
you haven't been here very long if you haven't realized that.
>I return to thread after some nice dinner
>he's still sperging out and mad
Have a dancing man. Maybe that'll cool you off, breh.
That could work as that DaS I pyromancy that turns enemies into friends that help you kill invaders or other enemies, but with corpses.
Like an area of effect where corpses on the ground resurrect and fight your enemies
PC if you want to exploit / juice the absolute max out of the game with cheatengine.
However you'll also face cheaters, and there wont be anti-cheater tools like Dark Souls's PVP watchdog in a looong time.
DaS3 will be locked to 30fps on PS4 and have longer load times. Cheaters are not really as much of problem that some would led you to believe on PC. I very rarely came across them in my 550 hours in DaS2.
Eh, rehashed, unpolished, boring. overhyped From shit?
>How long has the core team been working on DS3?
Well, apparently, if my memory is correct, they've been working on it since around when Dark Souls 2 was being developed.
Yes, strange, right? So IIRC, FROM has basically planned Dark Souls 2, 3 and Bloodborne at the same time. 2 and BB began development first, then 3 began development before 2 and BB were even finished.
FROM are a bunch of overworked employees, I think.
The only game that has minimal spoilers in trailers is Bloodborne and Demon's Souls. Dark Souls 1 and 2 had plenty of spoilers for bosses. Dark Souls 3 had that
giant treeboss in a trailer from 2-3 weeks back. It also spoiled what looked to be a humanoid giant boss with you on a bridgein an earlier trailer from a couple of months back.
>what the fuck man he was praising
le memes pls b nice muh honour xDD
Kill yourself honourfag.
>he bows like a weab in Souls games
>when his job is to literally go out of his way to fuck up the hosts day to the best of his ability
Might as well ask here: what the bloody fuck is wrong with Dark Souls (1) controls? The faster I move my mouse, the slower the camera pans, the slower I move the mouse, the faster the camera pans. Makes the game impossible to play.
Run throughsl of the stress test with each of the classes.
Herald of White
Goddamn, I guess that's okay then.
I'm thinking them repurposing and modifying existing Bloodborne assets helps with their overworked status. I don't even care if they do that though, the game looks fantastic even if I can spot out the same pitchfork wielding villager in the previous game.
I like having it. I believe Miyazaki said durability would me more of a factor than DaS1 and less than DaS2. Which I think is right.
I don't even no why it's even a mechanic in Bloodborne. I maybe had a weapon at risk once.
>I can handle hostility just fine man.
No you can't you complained about it.
>I was saying that for your sake
I appreciate it but worry about making coherent arguments when you start an argument with me then because I disagree with this
>You're getting way too buttdevistated over something like this.
No, I'm not. I find it beyond disrespectful to make such a shit brained argument (and as I went over numerous times IT WAS an argument not a joke, it was essential to the point you were trying to make) then try to pass it off as me not getting a joke. Fuck off. I'm not falling for that bullshit. There has never been a more classic way to get out of saying something retarded "It was just a joke man". No it wasn't.
You made a stupid argument, got caught in it and tried to turn the table sas if I was some kind of asshoel for calling you stupid when you said something stupid. You forced me over and over to ask how it was relevant all the while responding to insult me while not answering my question. Sorry, I see that as very good reason to be offended and given that I've rarely if ever had problems like this in real life, I'm going to go out on a limb and say, no. The issue here is you, who shows a great deal of disrespect to others and doesn't realize it.
Getting mad at someone acting like a clown while they simultaneously insist they are making sound arguments that they won't back up no matter how much they are asked (and insisting that i use too much ad hominem while they use it themselves) is reasonable to me. It always will be because I am far more offended by that behavior than a mere insult from someone I've never met.
I see the Witcher fanboys have gotten bored of their conversation simulator and decided to jump back on the shitposting bandwagon.
If we are at it, they need to fix poise too or remove it. Ds1 it worked Ds2 it just barely werks but most of the time is an annoyance or a no gang squads holy shit ds2 is doing so much so wrong
Have you eaten your dinner yet, mate? You should. I think you have an empty stomach. That's why you're just sperging out like crazy.
>What are you expecting from the game in terms of Gameplay mechanics, character/world design, plot and all that other good shit?
DLCs, downgrades, shitty p2p connection and paid graphical patches.
>if I wanted a duel I'd go to a fight club
It's not like you can pick, have you played souls games?
And this is specially true in the network test since you couldn't get summoned as a red, only invade.
Generally though if I invade I don't expect a fair match, but in the network test that was the only option.
Dark Souls I had this mechanic where special enemy that had special item drops (example: the iron boars and the boar helmet), you'd always have a 100% chance of getting that drop when you kill the last of em.
Same with mimics and the chest helmet.
I really really hope they bring that mechanic back
I haven't been answering your questions about the argument because I'm not the person you were arguing with. I came in here >>323168360.
I'm not sure why I keep responding to you. I've probably got autism too.
Not him. But is the hit detection THAT imprecise in W3? I never played any Witcher games. No wonder so many people say the combat is trash. How hard is it for companies to make hitboxes as precise as the ones in shmups?
>regularly beat that Oroboro fag in pvp with my curved greatsword since he likes to parry spam
>always sends me hatemail after the fight
TW series wasn't even an action RPG originally. They just changed it for TW2 to get mass appeal, it was more of an old school WRPG with a targeting system more like Dragon Age and rhythm based combat, and dodgy hit detection was somewhat acceptable in those games.
Welp. Looks like I won't be touching W3. I can't stand that sort of bullshit. It pisses me off when it happens occasionally in Souls, but at least Souls has what is a weighty combat system.
I'm looking at these webms and it seems like everything is so floaty and attacks have no sense of impact behind them when they land. Can anyone tell me how the combat in W3 or any of the other Witcher games is satisfying? Care to show some good boss fights or enemy patterns that feel satisfying to fight against? I'm trying to be open minded. Maybe those webms are the exceptions. Maybe there's videos out there that show a much kinder light to the Witcher combat.
I love genres like shmups and games like Mega Man because they allow for pixel-perfect spacing against enemy attacks. I can't stand the kind of bullshit you see in those webms.
Big weapons are generally the GOAT in Bloodborne, even though the gameplay is much faster which could lead you to think DEX would be superior, so yes, big fucking weapons are back my man.
No more pansy shit.
>bootyblasted cucked Canadians trying to defend their shit country while they actively let sandniggers through the gates in droves to fuck up their economy and livelihood even more
Hyper armor on enemies is awful. In Bloodborne there are so many enemies that I can run up to and R1 stunlock to death, but if I do a charge attack then they go through it and kill me because this time their attack had hyper armor. NEITHER of those things should be happening, let alone with the same enemy. Poise is far more logically consistent and predictable.
On players hyper armor is just a gimme. If you use a Greatsword then you can dodge around like anybody and also tank through attacks. If you want to dodge and use a Greatsword in Dark Souls then you need to learn how to use that thing. Only if you give up dodging and build poise on your character can you tank through attacks like you can with hyper armor.
I played through both Bloodborne and Witcher 3 upon release and i have to say although Bloodborne is my personal GOTY, Witcher 3 is also pretty good but in a different way.
The combat is not as good as BB, neither is the art-direction but both games have an atmosphere that sucks you in.
not even canadian, just saying that you claim to live in the 1st world yet your country doesn't allow muslims.
literally pick one 'cause i can't think of a single 1st world country that doesn't allow immigrants
Never even stayed in canada more than a weekend, but I'm still willing to bet that it's 10x better than whatever shithole you dug yourself out of.
The proof is, you're too embarrassed to even mention your country.
i seriously hope so, i kept wanting to use a claymore or zwei in ds1 but i was literally just gimping myself in pve/pvp by attacking at a fraction of the speed of a katana and doing massively less dps
You shouldn't touch Witcher games unless you like the books or the lore and characters. Everything about them aside from soundtrack, atmosphere and graphics is mediocre to bad.
>HP+END stacking and putting on big armor has been OP as fuck every game PvE (don't give a shit about PvP)
>every game go DEX and end up regretting it
>I'm going to do the same for DaS3
Well at least Bloodborne catered to me
