>that feel when you just want to waste more of your life to the MMO you play
>it's down for maintenance

>Tfw you think about how much money you've spent over the years on the MMO you've played the shit out of

>wanted to run a new dungeon I unlocked the other day after I got home from work
>server maintenance until morning for the new patch or whatever
>oh well I can just do it tomorrow
>too tired from work today to get on and run the dungeon
>People actually enjoy MMOs over amazing single player games
Am I just old or what?
>Carrot on a stick never ends illusion
>Monthly subscription
>Made to make you enjoy grinding forever
>Almost all practically the same
>Attracts the most degenerate of the video game consumers
I don't get the appeal
>pick up an MMO or F2P
>get 1000+ hours out of it
>"fuck it, i'll spend some money on a cosmetic thing. why the fuck not, i bought $150 halo collector's and only got ~50 hours out of it. why should this game get the shaft"
>weird feeling of shame and guilt wash over me
>lose interest in the game i just pimped my character out in

>work all week
>it's finally weekend
>servers are down 90% of the time due to problems
>tfw you get drunk in front of the launcher waiting for the game to come up and end up just going to bed early

>he doesn't like the grind
>>323144287
Nothing wrong with single player games, but imo multiplayer games are always more fun.
Besides enemy AI sucks in 95% of all single player games and make it easy to cheese through the game.
Are there any decent non dying MMOs that aren't FF or WoW

I've been hearing some positive things about Black Desert
>>323144618Black Desert is coming out in 1-2 months and it's great.

/v/scape
>>323144618
Why do people make these sorta posts?
You already know the answer.
>>323144287
It's for NEETs. The feeling of achievement from getting cool stuff at the end of a long grind replaces the need for real life achievements, and the social interaction with fellow players replaces the need for real life social interaction.
It's actually pretty futuristic if you think about it, some of our most basic human needs can be covered with just $15 a month.
>>323144287
It's hard to transition back to SP games after playing MMOs for a while, because it feels so anti-social, even though SP games are obviously better

>mfw farming cards in ro with 0.01% drop chance
>only need about 6 more after that one
>then need to buy thief's clothes, socket enchant them, and get them a AGI+3 gem, all of which is completely random, costs tons of money and can destroy the equipment if it fails
this is the life boysthe game is so shit honestly
>>323145170
Man I don't remember RO looking this bad.
Like I get that it's a fucking old as hell game, but that looks awful.
That doesn't even look like it's in the normal game, like that is a custom made map almost.
>>323145170
>premium status
Uh oh, are you spending real life money on F2P MMOs anon?
>>323145347

>>323145613
It only cuts warp npc costs in half and some other minor stuff. I don't know why they thought anyone would spend real money on this
