Because OP got it wrong. The gaming community does not hate Microsoft and Xbox. PC gamers are at worst indifferent to Microsoft, and only half of the console gamers hate Xbox. Playstation fans therefore have to latch on to whatever they can to boost the appeal of the WeabooStation 4.

Performance wise they are almost a wash ( in fact, my xbox copy of Fallout 4 performed much better than the copy I borrowed for PS4). Sometimes PS4 keeps a better frame rate, but not often enough I care. So it comes down to gaming franchise, and Xbox puts more money where it matters. If I had to recommend only one system to someone of the three consoles, it would be Xbox.

360 was pretty good prior to the NXE and the launch of the god awful kinect. The XBL arcade used to have tons of great games on the cheap and for a short time DLC was actually used in a way that delivered quality content instead of milking customers.

There's a bunch of others they bought and killed as well. PC and console games were mostly different things, MS killed PC development and all we have now are console games that sometimes ported to PC. All the complex sims, space ship games and strategy games are gone.
