>>323139371 Because OP got it wrong. The gaming community does not hate Microsoft and Xbox. PC gamers are at worst indifferent to Microsoft, and only half of the console gamers hate Xbox. Playstation fans therefore have to latch on to whatever they can to boost the appeal of the WeabooStation 4.
Too bad it just doesn't have the exclusive content any other option has.
I like how they only listed one. But it wasn't that great of feature anyway. Sure you could share games with friends and family, but since only one person could be using it at a time it would have defeated multiplayer options. That is usually the only reason you want your friends to play a game you have in the first place.
>>323140842 >The gaming community does not hate Microsoft and Xbox you're delusional if you don't remeber what happed when microsoft announced always on and no share games for the first time angry pepito was one of the biggest xboners and this is how he react https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ekOtn7L1N0 you stupid american
exactly what steam does, yet no one complains. it doesnt require a daily login, but the session expires after a while staying offline only, you also have family sharing, which is what xbone was going fotr
>>323141439 I didn't say there wasn't outrage at the time. I was mad myself because I lived in a rural area with shitty internet at the time. But you are confusing the feelings about a three year old press announcement and how people feel about an existing system after it has been out for several years.
Maybe YOU hate Xbox, but you clearly don't have one. I have both systems, so I can at least objectively state what strengths they have. Performance wise they are almost a wash ( in fact, my xbox copy of Fallout 4 performed much better than the copy I borrowed for PS4). Sometimes PS4 keeps a better frame rate, but not often enough I care. So it comes down to gaming franchise, and Xbox puts more money where it matters. If I had to recommend only one system to someone of the three consoles, it would be Xbox.

If you care about multiplats like fallout 4 they you should play on pc, stupid ms goy >If I had to recommend only one system to someone of the three consoles, it would be Xbox you should reccomend Wii U because unlike the other two this one have most games that you can't get on pc your brand loyalty is showing friendo
>>323142070 >Everyone forgets they didn't >But Sony is "winning", right? sales wise? yes I don't give a fuck about sony, i only have gaming rig and a handheld so stop forcing your bullshit fanboy wars towards me
>>323142210 I might recommend the WiiU if they put out games people actually wanted at a meaningful pace.
And yes, PC is obviously superior. Hence the reason I said "of the three consoles". Not everyone wants to invest in a PC, has the wherewithal to care for a PC, not wants to play games anywhere but their couch. If gaming always came down to best performance, consoles wouldn't exist.
>>323142421 Even as a greater fan of Xbox I can say Sony is winning this console generation in almost every sense. I don't agree that the system is necessarily better, all things considered, but it is definitely more successful.
>>323143774 There's no arguing that MS is pretty awful, but as disgusting as the xbone was at launch, it isn't anywhere near as bad as it once was.
Now it's just another console. Actually it's the exact same shit as the ps4.
>both charge for online >both have voice commands >both will take your COMPLIMENTARY games away at the end of a subscription (*not an issue with 360) >every noteworthy game is a multiplat
The only question anybody should ever their self if they have to choose between the two is, "Which thumbsticks are more comfortable?" To which the answer is the xbones are ridged and uncomfy and the DS4s can feel tiring after extended sessions.
Microsoft is the reason why 7th gen was fucking terrible, the 360 gave us a generation of >DLC >Games running off the god awful Unreal 3 engine >Creative games dying out to give us waves of shitty generic shooters >"The Call of Duty audience" >Third party exclusives dying out >Rare becoming a hollow corpse of what it was >Great franchises going to shit to "appeal to a wider audience" >Games for Windows Live >Many great developers going under And many other shitty problems with last gen, then they have the fucking nerve to try and make consumers their bitch. So justifiably, Microsoft is hated for being shit and ruining gaming and then trying to fuck consumers over with the Xbone. Stop trying to defend them or act like Phil is your bruh and not another PR face
>>323144496 I get that, I'm just trying to be as objective as possible in a console war thread. I have a PS4, a friend of mine has an xbone. I've spent a lot of time with both and I feel like it's the same thing with a different UI.
>>323144887 360 was pretty good prior to the NXE and the launch of the god awful kinect. The XBL arcade used to have tons of great games on the cheap and for a short time DLC was actually used in a way that delivered quality content instead of milking customers.
I can't compare it to the PS3 though because I didn't get one of those until 2011. Bought it specifically for Mortal Kombat because I can't MK with a thumbstick.
>>323144887 https://youtu.be/OeHjN4oWVfk?t=5m27s I almost forgot the cherry on this shit cake >>323145281 Horrendously shit resource hogging engine that meant we got shit loads of pop-in, framerate drops, ugly brown colors for games and ugly character models It was responsible for the "brown and bloom" of 2008 era games
>>323145316 It changed for the better. The sooner you accept that the better off you'll be. Nobody needed/wanted an always online camera that recognized people in the room and would deliver ads based on conversations. Thats not convenient, it's creepy as fuck
>>323144887 >DLC MS didn't invent DLC >Games running off the god awful Unreal 3 engine Microsoft is not to blame for that >Creative games dying out to give us waves of shitty generic shooters Ya just like how Nintendo was the reason why creative games died in their golden age because every game was a 2d platformer. >"The Call of Duty audience" Not Microsofts doing and if the PS3 and Xbox 360 switched places it would be the exact same story >Third party exclusives dying out No >Rare becoming a hollow corpse of what it was Well that does happen when people quit from the company. I suppose what MS should've done with the company they purchased from Nintendo for a shit load of money was nothing then because people left it. No wait that's fucking retarded. >Great franchises going to shit to "appeal to a wider audience" The fuck are you talking about? Every game MS put on the 360 did not do this with the exception of Halo 4 which they found out the hard way was stupid. >Games for windows live Was terrible thus why they ended it. Not everything can be picture perfect. Just look at Steam. >Many great developers going under Once again not Microsofts fault.
>>323145228 Give me a reason as to what's wrong with them. They are literally an optional thing no one has to go for at all and just adds stuff for you to do at best.
Yeah, there's the people who refuse to buy games because they don't have achievements, and those who buy garbage games like Avatar because of the easy achievements, but that's really what you're going to base your bitching on?
Let me explain into your simple little mind why the original idea for the Xbox One is currently the future.
>muh always online is bad Yet millions of people already use Steam and even Origin already. On top of that billions of fucking people constantly use the internet so why is the idea of another electronic in your life having to use the internet is such a bad idea? "but what if muh internet goes out" Now tell me what do you fucking do when it currently goes out? Oh wait you fucking wait for it to come back on. "what if I have shit internet" What if your car car is shit? Oh ya you buy a new car. "what if I have no internet" How the fuck are you bitching?
>but but a multi media device is a bad thing! Mean fucking while millions of people buy Rokus and now Apple TVs but the idea of a fucking video game system doing the same thing is a bad one?
>dah evil kinect is spying for the NSA Ya sure and Obamas going to take your guns.
>muh muh discs You mean those large easily breakable pieces of plastic which can easily be unreadable by the system if handled wrongly. You means those things that cost more money then they're worth in the long term when idiots resell to fucking Gamestop for 3 bucks? Meanwhile when all the bitching was happening no was was complaining about the fact that majority of music nowadays is all digital but god forbid when Microsoft tries to do the same thing but with video games they're the devil.
Microsofts biggest problem is their PR. Their ideas for the Xbox One originally is nothing really new and in reality is already accepted by millions already. Instead because of bad PR a very vocal minority of people got them to change.
>>323138626 I'll explain my reasons: 1) heavy dude bro focus. I don't want to play call of duty and american football. 2) tasteless as fuck. remember that gaudy 360 dashboard? with animated mcdonalds ads? an entire layer of ads before you could get to each menu? Fuck that 3) complete lack of trust thanks to always online fiasco, lying for years about windows gaming, win 10 spyware push
They bought up my favourite games, mechwarrior and mechcommander then killed them just to hurt PC games and continue to hold the IP hostage a decade later.
There's a bunch of others they bought and killed as well. PC and console games were mostly different things, MS killed PC development and all we have now are console games that sometimes ported to PC. All the complex sims, space ship games and strategy games are gone.
>>323144887 Reminder Sony added >Trophies >DLC >Online passes >Removing backwards compatibility >Reselling select games as HD collections >Reselling others as PSN downloads >Many great developers going under >Numerous Sony services / streaming service that went under >The great Sony hack compromising everyone personal data, and credit card numbers, along with going offline for over a month >Playstation Move >Forcing blu-ray down peoples mouths, even though DVD is still the preferred format >$599 US DOLLARS >Mandatory installs on virtually every game >Enjoy installing DMC4 and literally using one fourth of your HDD >Removed media functions >Removed linux support >Sony doing the whole "BETTER WITH PLAYSTATION!* EXCLUSIVE CONTENT!*" >Which is still done TODAY with games like AssCreed and Destiny >The PSPGO >Hurr customers don't need rumble, motion controlls are the future! >lel nevermind, gimme $60 for rumble you twats >3D >3D GAMES >3D MOVIES >3D TV >3D IS THE FUTURE*! But you know what they say, it's okay when Sony does it.
>>323153984 Glad you can't see the bigger picture. Everything the original fucking idea for the Xbox One was doing IS the fucking future and whenever the fuck the next generation of consoles is in like 10 fucking years Sony and MS will both be doing the exact same thing as what the original Xbox One idea was but probably with VR.
People hate change but this is a change that's coming nonetheless and there is nothing wrong with it as long as you're not paranoid or poor.
All you're doing is whining now. MS has a series of dumb ideas that they realized were dumb and got rid of. There's no point to you rambling about it because it literally doesn't matter. it's over and done with. Period.
they tried to shove some of the most cancerous shit ever with the xbone, an online only method, kinect camera spying bullshit and more
All they have done since the Xbone reveal is to try to backtrack the enormous mess they have created, but some of it is still hopeless, like how the system costs more than the PS4 while being weaker. People don't fucking want Kinect.
