For PvP you mean? You should never get hit or hit anyone with it. Ever. Period. Infinite rolling with fucktons of ADP won't let any big weapon be good, ever. Maybe, MAYBE if you put a rapier or a katana in one hand and sometimes throw attacks with it, THEN you can actually hit someone.

Dark Souls 2 fucks you over for using big weapons the most, because that game has no poise even if it says it does. There's no PvE or PvP reason to use any big weapon.

It's extremely easy to run right to the boss with the only damage you take is from falling if you mess up the third drop and you can also safely apply whatever buffs you want there before going to the fog gate.
