Because Kos Parasite is an end-game weapon and From wanted to make the hard as fuck fight that is Orphan give a worthwhile reward. But it completely breaks PvP, a single R2 being capable of OHKO'ing most of the time.

At 50 Arc it does around 1300 damage, and continues to scale past 50. It's not very hard to dodge, but with Souls games' unreliable netcode you'll be losing against every Jap who uses it, which is most of them.

Kos parasite tricked L2 is a cosmic aoe explosion that hits multiple times, stunlocks you to shit, and can deal 1500 damage no problem unless you're wearing very high arcane resistance gear and runes. Everyone who's tried to spam me in broccoli form has met a grim end to this move, it also has hyper armor that I have not actually seen break yet.
