There is really no reason not to. Power cores magically appear in your inventory, and your max carry weight triples, so farming mats for building becomes braindead easy. It pretty much removes item management.

Jack Cabot was the only side quest I did that was interesting, and it was bugged to hell.

I'm enjoying it more than 3 and New Vegas, about 40 hours in so far.

A courier in a setting like Fallout is already an important role, what the MC accomplished as a courier was an impressive feat that aided both the NCR and the Mojave. He wasn't exactly a nobody.

As others have pointed out, Preston gives you a new radiant quest every time you talk to him, and often gives you the same one twice.
Plus supposedly there's a glitch where he calls you "babe" even if you don't romance him.

Strong is kinda shit I think because he is very much a typical supermutant, i.e. a dumb asshole who only approves of rape and pillage. This could be fun and sometimes is, but it gets frustrating when he disapproves every time you pick a lock, for example.
When I met Virgil in the main quest it made me miss Fawkes from FO3.

terrible balance, lazy and messy perk system, bullet sponges, almost all random loot (and they aren't even distributed well, especially pipe pistol even in the fucking institute), lack of weapon variety, vast majority of locations only exist as place to be killed/fetched, substandard AI that doesn't even have flanking maneuver and prefer to plink at you from way out of range with their short range weapon. Terrible and lazy as hell quests. Shallow and inconsistent theme-park world design. etc....
