I was a NEET from age 22-25. The first year was fucking glorious. Felt like I was cheating at life. By the third year I was so depressed that I pretty much no longer enjoyed vidya. I've been employed making a humble 40k for the last 3 years and I'm happier than I've ever been. I live with my girlfriend instead of my mom. I have health insurance. I still have plenty of time for vidya, and I enjoy it way more.

I work a 2 week on one week off rotation out in a mine as a field engineer. 12 hour shifts, five days a week, weekends off along with the aforementioned week off.
