Post your favourite Runescape songs
>You'll never fish with your m8s at Catherby again
We go back to Runescape every now and again. It's fun but it's just not the same.
The infamous Fallador Massacre. Back in the day, some leet haxor figured out a way to manipulate a skill (construction i think?) and kill several players in Fallador even though it wasn't a PK area. They got banned soon after, but I'm not sure if people were compensated for what they lost, but the day went down in history within the RS community.
>tfw you explore members area for the first time and this song starts to play when you enter ardougne.
It was when Construction was first released. The first person to hit level 99 Construction held a party at his house and anyone who did combat related activities like boxing or fencing and were then kicked out of his house still kept their PvP abilities outside, thus allowing them to attack other players while they couldn't attack back.
Here's runescape music. You'll probably need to do some work to make it sound decent on your computer because windows default midi instruments are trash garbage.
Every time someone posts Old Runescape songs I feel a tug on my heartstrings. No game will ever outdo the sense of adventure got from playing Runescape and going to new areas for the first time for me. It felt so magical
I was a member very briefly after it became available
it's been a long time
Personally I've always liked the sad or ominous sounding tracks more than the comfy city/road tracks. Chain of Command, Arabique, Dimension X. I like the songs that play at the barrows brothers; Dance of the Undead and Dangerous Way.
But some of the city/road tracks are pretty good. Autumn Voyage, Medieval, Forever are some that I remember liking.
Has it really been...
Nah, but we're 90's kids, disregarding that I cant even remember 9/11.
Seriously, though, how did you all get into RS?
My older cousin got my family into it, so I would play with family and sometimes watch my brother play. During summers my younger cousins, nephews of and lived with older cousin, would go pk.
The tension we had from grinding for those hours to possibly have it go to waste was to much for our young hearts.
>the Falador Massacre was 9 and a half years ago
>Play game for first time on Miniclip
>Spawn in Lumbridge
>See dude in full bronze standing at the castle doors
>I think he was the coolest shit
God damn, take me back.
>I cant even remember 9/11.
yikes, i'm british and even I can remember that
Anyway yeah my elder cousin got me into it too. I remember sitting at my grandad's house with him on my grandad's computer taking it in turns playing
>You can actually go into the elven city now
I was introduced to it via a thread on the off-topic board on the forums of a GTA fansite back in 04 or 05, been too long and I can't remember.
As someone that mainly plays for the quest I'd say that RS3 is worth it. The new quests are still fucking good. Heads up if you're gonna do the old ones; EoC had made a lot of them piss easy. A couple of fights can still ruin your day (that ice dude in Desert Treasure comes to mind) but most of them are a fucking joke. The new ones can slap your shit several ways to Sunday though.
And it goes without saying but you'll want to avoid the /vg/ community like the plague.
Of course it was real, it's an infamous RS drama.
I remember after that happen friends told me that there were gatherings of players in the wildness to talk about controling citys and plundering players of their items.
This brings tears to my eyes.
>tfw I was at THE houseparty where this happened
>tfw the whole time at the party I just sat in the kitchen and talked to some dude with green hair
>tfw I made it into the 6/6/6 video and got muted by a jmod for spamming
it was a glorious day for my 11 year old self
for anyone who doesn't believe me
i had that faggy haircut and a hardon for zammy robes
