dudesex is a boring, shitty, clunky, ugly game that cant decide what genre it wants to belong to. the only thing it has going for it is its okay conspiracy illuminati plot (that you have to go through 500 hours of filler to get to) and memes (A LE BOMB XDDDD). but as far as the actual gameplay goes, its aged like shit. doing a full playthrough is tedious and boring. plus its just an edgy sickdark game in the first place - it takes place entirely at night, your character wears a trenchcoat, you deal with underground terrorist factions and government espionage. it's basically "i sit by myself at lunch in high school: the game." but of course it gets constant praise because "muh ion storm," "muh pc golden age," and "muh nostalgia." it's a solid 5/10 game that was okay for its time and absolutely shit by modern standards.
That's an easy one.
Not critically acclaimed, but it's not even worth having a cult status, shallow story with shitty, buggy, uninspired gameplay to boot.
You should at least tell me which game is, fagget.
No, its not art. It's teenager philosophy that makes dumb people feel smart.
Dark Souls is easily one of the most overrated games of all time.
The only reason it got so much attention is because it came out in a time where games and gamers were used to being handheld and told where to go. The game was difficult for retards and normal for experienced players, the combat was repetitive and the level design fell off a fucking cliff at the halfway point.
holy fuck this
it's literally king's field: sickdark HD edition. everything it did, dark souls did better. but sonyggers still cling to it because it was literally and actually the ONLY game the ps3 had.
The only shitty area is Blighttown because you have to descend and ascend vertically, and the camera is absolute dogshit for that, the rest are fine, i hate to say this but you have a case of the
>everything it did, dark souls did better
Except level design, aesthetics and combat that doesn't feel like you're underwater. It's a relatively small game compared to DaS, but it's a lot tighter too.
Never understood whats fun about killing uncreative clunky meme enemies
calling it art is silly but not realising how crazy ahead of its time MGS 2 is, would be silly.
it's a story and thematic that only works in videogames.
this game couldn't be a movie. This game doesn't work if you haven't played the first game. This game works best if you are a person that plays videogames.
and all of that happened in 2002. it's not just about "oh god what a tweeest" it's more about making the player think a little bit about what just happens. I don't think any game has managed to take advantage of its medium more before or after MGS2.
and it's very much postmodern
I fucking loved it, but sadly it IS one of those games that gets brought down due to it's popularity. At the end of the day it's still just a 9+ hour long indie game made by one guy.
when does the AI cheat?
There are 2 bullshit things in this game, one is that the enemy can send an invasion force by boat and the game doesn't warn you, even if you have boats along the coastlines, so you have to spend every round's end by manually checking if the enemy is trying to land a boat near you.
The other is Realm Divide, which is just a total shit mechanic, and basically forces your hand to never take allies, or even vassals.
Examples of right answers:
>Spec Ops: The Line
>Batman Arkham series
Examples of wrong answers:
>The Last Of Us
>Deus Ex, Final Fantasy 7 and other ground-breaking classics
>I need skill points to shoot a fucking gun properly
retarded system. you dont need to be a navy seal with 300 confirmed kills to understand how to point a gun at someone and pull the trigger without having the bullet miss by 100 meters
I literally finished it for the first time 4 days ago and I find it a smashing 10/10. I'm not even joking. I really was Denton, the pacing is really good, the final choice was fricking awesome. Yes, the combat isn't very good but it is not the point of the game.
Really? Wow that's pretty bullshit.
It's the only total war game I'm good at though, mostly cause of the map, since it's a lot less capable of fucking you from multiple sides, and also you have constant vision on your provinces, unlike in medieval 2
I mean it's not a bad game or anything. I enjoyed my time with it, But i'm just so tired of people circlejerking about it being The best Total war ever made with so many glaring issues.
When was the last time you saw a thread on here or anywhere else about how great/perfect TLOU is? Getting some good reviews on release does not make a game "overrated" forever.
I love how the board that used to play MW2 to death and loved how fun it was at a specific point now loves to hate COD.
Piggyback opinions are very common on this board, which everybody knows it's not fucking difficult to see, but it's hard to find somebody speak their singular opinion.
There's nothing wrong with cod anon, I never said anything bad about it and i don't know where the fuck are you getting that impression.
I actually play Cod, zombies is fun and mp is cool with friends, but I still get that it's a casual game, nothing wrong with that.
I was very underwhelmed when I played it after all the hype I'd heard about it. I know some people say it only seems underwhelming because every FPS after it copied everything it did, so it feels old hat if you come to it after playing other FPS games. I don't buy that. You could say the same thing about Doom, but it still holds up no matter how many other games you've played.
Sorry about that, kinda hit me there and I went into full assumption mode.
You are correct, I got my buds into WaW and we play custom zombies non-stop. Can't wait to see what the boys for do for Blops 3 when that launches it's SDK
people say it was the worst GTA, mind that.
>VICE CITY BEST STORY!!!
GTAIV had a better one
>CJ BEST CHARACTER!!!
niko bellic can go past all the akagi commandments and has more meaningful quotes
>LIBERTY CITY WORST CITY!!!
it was packed with things to do and places to go in a relatively small area, also best driving physics
great game and comfiest in the series. not the most entertaining but for sure the most pleasant one, also easy to pick up
obvious, it's a classic. every game copied it because it was THE example. so many games did it better after it, but they're devout to HL
Well fuck, haven't played those
You win this time, anonymous image board user.
>obvious, it's a classic. every game copied it because it was THE example. so many games did it better after it, but they're devout to HL
Like I said, you could say the same thing about Doom, but I also played Doom for the first time after playing other FPS games, and I wasn't underwhelmed at all. I still thought it was great. That's why I don't buy that argument for Half-Life.
