Brotherhood was literally 2.6. It has everything 2 did well but also takes it to another level. They shoudl've stopped at BH or revelations and stop butchering it further and further. At least Black Flag was a surprisingly good game

It's great. Even more so if you like AC contrary to popular belief since it brings a much needed breath of air to the story formula and lets you see things from another perspective. It's also a great boat and pirate game if you don't like AC so it's very recommendable either way

Unity is crazy underrated. It has the best combat, assassination missions, graphics and animations. Plus it has actual stealth mechanics and better free running. It's a button that you can used to climb up and down fluidly, instead of everything be too automatic like AC3/4, which can make you fuck up where you what to go, liking jumping off shit.(it still happens but it much better) Also how can you not like the customization options and building your own assassin? Sure the story was shit and character were pretty forgettable, but AC games story have always been shit. I think the main reason people hate on Unity so much is because of the broken release(which is fair), and because they didn't spend enough time with it.(or parroting other people on the internet) Just doing the mandatory missions, with out spending time level up your assassin, unlocking new armors and weapons can make the game not as fun. Because you get wastes by guards and or seen too easily. There's almost has a RPG element to the game

It's not great but if anyone is thinking of trying it, they should. Especially now that it's been patched up pretty decently. You may see that it is the deepest AC in the series in terms of gameplay mechanics

I really liked it once I got used to it. It's so fast and fluid, plus you can change in mid drop if you are on a big building.

It's a great game, just not a great AC game. If you really enjoyed the assassinations of the original games, you will be disappointed. If you go into it hoping for the Pirates of the Caribbean game we should have had years ago, you'll have fun.

Yeah, most of the Unity hate came from people playing it when it came out since it was initially a buggy mess. A year later after the patches and it's a fine AC game. Much better than AC3.
