PC Hype thread.
Will there be preload?
new interview http://www.pcgamer.com/dragons-dogma-devs-on-bringing-the-2012-rpg-to-pc/
>We’d love to hear the opinions and feedback from players of the upcoming PC port of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, as that will increase the chances that we can look into the possibility of continuing the series.
This is our last chance to convince them we want a sequel. How do we not fuck this up?
>The Dragon’s Dogma development team members often talk about the possibility of a sequel. We’d love to hear the opinions and feedback from players of the upcoming PC port of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, as that will increase the chances that we can look into the possibility of continuing the series.
Well there it is.
No multiplayer, elf ears, remove loli.
Holy shit this fucking generation, why can't you fucking wait until the game is released? why amerifats are so shitty consumers they need to pay for something to feel happy without really owning it?
got damn nigga this releases on a friday ready to play all weekend
>We’d love to hear the opinions and feedback from players of the upcoming PC port of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, as that will increase the chances that we can look into the possibility of continuing the series.
you niggers best be ready to shill the fuck out of this port if it's any good so we can get DD2
>PCKEKS ARE STILL EXCITED FOR THIS SHITTY MESS OF A GAME
HOLY FUCK THE SLOPPY SECONDS ARE REAL
GET SOME TASTE FAGS
It takes a very long time for games to download, I have pretty decent speed for an American but it will still take awhile. This is just fact, even current gen consoles require you install everything.
I have a feeling it's because the Japanese know when they release something in the middle of the week the productivity drops. Not because this is a huge release for Japan but because of habit.
Can't wait for all the new meme-pawns we'll get on PC.
If you are living in EU, you will have to wait more 12 hours than players who are living in New Zealand. Previously, many players used New Zeland VPN to unlock Fallout 4 earlier from Euorpe, United States, Britain. It is the same principle to play Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen earlier with New Zealand VPN.
>If you are living in EU, you will have to wait more 12 hours than players who are living in New Zealand
Really? I always thought games unlocked at the same worldwide. Noon PST, 3 PM EST, 8 PM GMT, etc.
>PC Gamer: Between this release and Dragon’s Dogma Online, it seems like the series still means a lot to Capcom—where is Capcom at in terms of considering a sequel?
>Matsukawa: Thanks for your interest in the series! The Dragon’s Dogma development team members often talk about the possibility of a sequel. We’d love to hear the opinions and feedback from players of the upcoming PC port of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, as that will increase the chances that we can look into the possibility of continuing the series.
>Thanks for your interest in the series! The Dragon’s Dogma development team members often talk about the possibility of a sequel.
>The Dragon’s Dogma development team members often talk about the possibility of a sequel.
>possibility of a sequel.
just like the steam store updates.
when the us got their store sale update we got it here in EU too.
some games really force the "midnight release" so yea sometimes EU gets them a few hours earlier than NA.
but usually it's midnight/midday NA worldwide so EU gets them around 7pm
dont worry about it.
They're just saying that to get more sales. They'll never make a sequel, regardless how profitable it might be. Capcom is one of the most self-destructive video game companies I've ever seen, but they still continue to thrive.
>a fucking sequel
Capcom you jew fucks why must you hold the things I love hostage
Release this on ps4 and xbone damn it
I'm buying physical version.
Yet it's cheaper than anywhere else digitally.
These threads are mostly about hyping up the game anyway anon.
My physical constitution is fully prepared.
Which types of pawns do you want?
1- Pure healer/support spell mage
2- Long range sniper who rains arrows or does power shots to set up for you
3- Berserk Guts style melee character who supplements your range/magic abilities
>actually good preorder bonuses
>GMG slicing 25% off of cost
>Digital artbook and soundtrack totally free
>Game engine very compatible with PC and company proven to do godlike ports
>Early impressions extremely positive
I usually hate preordering but this instance, there is legit no reason why you should abstain.
Never played Dragons Dogma before.
What vocation should my main pawn be, if i want to play a melee focused character?
Also: do i have to min/max my pawn's levels/classes or can i just leave it at let's say mage and it'll still be a valuable companion throughout the game?
I usually prefer Warriors or Fighters that draw aggro so I can get my spells or arrows off.
The fact that most of the red classed Pawns have helmets covering their ugly mugs is a bonus.
You will always need a healer unless you are doing some challenge run. You can get by using whatever looks cool and just recruit mages if you wish.
I'm hoping you can respec with cheat engine, I hated worrying about my magic knight's stats.
>play anything that climbs enemies
>your pawn will now also climb them no matter what vocation
Is there anything to you can do about this? It was a fucking pain in the ass to have a sorcerer/mage pawn climb enemies instead of nuking/healing
>FAT UNDEAD desu
>lets climb them
Min max for classes go like this:
Fighter -> 10, Warrior -> 200
Mage -> 10, Sorcerer -> 200
Strider -> 10, Warrior-> 100, Sorcerer ->200
If you melee, obviously you need a mage of strider helping you from behind
Tried it allready, its shit
I'm so sick of "oldfags".
"Oh man have people always had different opinions/ways to do things?? God my time was better".
Shill thread or not I see this all the fucking time on /v/.
Sick of you fuckers.
Your pawn can be whatever, if it's ranged it will compliment your melee approach and if it's the same class as you it will learn all your tricks so there's benefits to both.
As for stats, honestly just ignore them, they don't really matter. Any supposed benefit of levelling one class over the other is pretty irrelevant when late-game equipment is about 80% of your overall strength. Balanced stats are better for players and for pawns their inclinations/skills matter the most.
You CAN minmax pawns because it's far less tedious and you can just upload them to the rift as a particular class/set of skills, then play the actual game with them being something else since your pawn only updates when you rest. But if you don't do this it's not as if they "lose out" on anything.
The alternative is filling up your inventory and spending all your gold on consumables, then pausing in the middle of fights to chug herbs which completely ruins the flow of combat.
Honestly i'd rather just have the Mage, with Legion's Might and other buffs they justify the slot even into BBI where it's just a convenience choice.
>What vocation should my main pawn be, if i want to play a melee focused character?
Whatever you want really, it's not that important. You don't really need a healbot unless you plan to do some extended adventuring, just play it however you feel like.
>Also: do i have to min/max my pawn's levels/classes
Melee classes and magic classes relies on different stats so leaving them as one for most of the game will make them subpar for the other, but you can always just change up their class.
>with a PC audience
fuck no, those threads are long gone and are gonna become either performance/graphics discussion or "THIS ISNT LIKE DARK SOULS I THOUGHT THIS WAS LIKE DARK SOULS"
i wonder how fucked will the keyboard controls be
cause i cant see keyboard keys on the hud whitout fucking terrible controls
This isn't an "oldfag" thing, preorders are objectively bad and dumb things. Literally every Youtuber that hasn't become a complete shill for game developers is against preordering. You can argue about DLC, microtransactions, F2P or whatever, but there's no real argument about preordering, especially as digital distribution becomes more common.
Every now and then I like to rent a pair of sorcerers for BBI runs.
While usually I just go with my pawn, it's really nice to have a meteor rain, or a giant tornado as a backup.
That's why I prefer them, a little extra power never hurts.
I always thought piratefags are either too poor to buy the game anyway or never even considered buying the game, so ultimately nothing is los.
How and why should they ruin it? If people really want to buy/play the game and get a sequel, it will happen.
Personally I use antimicro to bind Xbox button/PS button to do something, like F5 for Quick Save in TW3 for example or F12 for screenshots.
I wonder if I should use it for screenshot or something else in DD.
>Holy shit this fucking generation
/(you)made it into an oldfag thing.
>But he didn't say it was better then
It's an implication when you say "This fucking generation".
I won't argue about DLC or pre-ordering because it's cancerous. I'm just sick of "oldfags".
you guys just made me realise.
i've seen these threads these past couple days about "hurr durr built this PC what are some exclusives worth building a pc for" and so on.
I guess DD Dark Arisen might as well be a PC exclusive at this point.
Is this game good for making sexy dark elf pawns?
For me that's been the case with pretty much all games that end up on PC.
If it's on PC I will never ever touch the console version. Even if I own it. There's just no point to it.
Nah it'll unlock at 12am on the date it's supposed release, or for that region. Fallout 4 was released 9PM PST and 12AM EST. BUt everyone used the vpn to bypass that and get it at 12am gmt0
does buying a gpu and getting a game with it count as a game purchase?
>tfw starving myself so the PC version will feel even grander
Nigga don't take everything so seriously. He wasn't speaking literally. Just making a little notation. No need to blow a gasket.
>tfw enjoyed the 360 version
>tfw going to enjoy it again on PC at higher resolutions and frames.
Why the butthurt?
It's the go to copy-paste shitposting response in these situations.
Only they don't know most players excited for the PC versions are actually old players so most people will just respond with, well, what you said instead of getting mad.
It was kind of a dumb thing of him to say, but then again when the dumb court consolewar shitposting, they find it.
People ranting about how amazing Dragon's Dogma's magic is are proof that having flashy fireworks is enough to get praise.
if your pawn is any of the following:
you need to seriously kill yourself
>went to go listen to Into Free again
>youtube red has banned all videos of it in America
I'm gonna kick the cock in the dick and say this.
The fact that i'm such a huge lore-fag, even for a game like dragon's dogma prevented me from making a tasty elf pawn. If i knew that elf's were a thing in the game word, i would have done it, but i cant remember seeing any in game. Or maybe there is elfs in dragon's dogma but i just didn't see them. Hopefully they show that elf's actually exist in the next dragon's dogma game, so i can make an elf pawn. Sadly i'm just that autistic when it comes to plausible characters in-terms of the games world. :(
i'm working nightshift though ;_;
i'll either have to start playing when i get home at 7am and am tired as shit, or sleep and then i'll be like 12hrs before people
I WANT TO BE THE FIRST TO UR DRAGON
If you care about any Pawn but your own you need to seriously kill yourself.
>dumb cuckposters don't even know what cuckolding actually means
Oh my fuck.
I tried the wiki and that link doesn't work, for me atleast.
maybe it's only in certain parts? but yeah it's not showing up on youtube for me and when my brit friends link me it it says not available.
I'm not a massive autistic retard (I think) but I totally do that, if something doesn't make sense in the context of the world then i'm not going to do it.
That being said Dogma is a world with parallel universes and your backstory is never set in stone so you can justify orcs and elves easily, desu. In the DD world, heroes like Beowulf and Saint George actually exist in legends.
I like that the options are still there, you can measure a good CC by just how far it lets you jump off the deep edge and being a gigantic red orc lady is just fine for me.
I am somewhere at "I own it for xbox 360, played it for a few hours, liked it and might consider getting it for PC when it's like 2 bucks and then actually giving it a proper playthrough".
Also, a lot of my hype is already killed because I know that hundreds of false-flaggers pretending to be PC people will "shit" on the game and then complain about how they never should've gotten it in the first place.
I get the joke you're making but I hope you're not this guy:
Cause the dude originally said banned specifically in America. So if you called bullshit on it being banned in your country and you don't live in America then you're an idiot. Also if you were pretending to be retarded all along then you're an idiot.
Them's some sour ass grapes.
>tfw have to limit my download speed to 200kb/s on Steam because shitty internet
>steams download limit is completely broken and makes downloading anything take double the time it would usually take
Fucking get off your sofas and do some god damn work every once in a while Valve.
>he doesn't know about the potions
you're a fucking moron
Have fun not listening to someone trying to help you, good luck with those climbing mage pawns
Who gives a shit what your arisen looks like? And some of us don't even care what your pawn looks like. Only thing that matters is that they have good inclinations, skills and aren't dumb.
not only did it, but dark souls 2 outsold either console version, 2 months after release of console versions
meaning the pc sold more in 2 weeks than either console did in 2 months.
source: number of players in covenants on each platform on froms own site
>actually good preorder bonuses
>it's a fucking digital artwork and soundtrack which I will see once and I can listen to right now on youtube
These scammers won't make me pay $30 for a 4 year old port.
They deserve to have the game flop.
Fuck you, I'll go blue.
I fucking love ranger, this is the only game where I play a class that uses a bow.
Going to remake my ranger/ranger arisen and pawn duo and pump enemies so full of arrows you can't even see the models anymore.
My last pawn was pretty popular and got hired daily, bringing in shitloads of RC and geting 5 star ratings from almost everybody, so I'm hoping to recreate that.
You cannot hire lolis. You wont see lolis travelling around the world.
Additionally but less important. Without cheating you cannot access Ur-Dragon equipment, and you will have to grind insane amounts to obtain BBI gear and upgrade it. Without some decent BBI gear you'll struggle to defeat Daimon even at level 200 (enjoy an hour long fight minimum).
It's not though. I bought the game the first day you could preorder and had it on console both times too and I never hired lolis. Hiring good pawns that fit the setting otherwise what's the point?
The game is actually MUCH harder without other player's pawns.
You can only make one, and other pawns make up half of your team.
The Capcom-developed pawns are all fucking abysmal with awful skillsets that are almost never upgraded.
You will NOT be able to do JIGGIDY JACK SHIT in BBI without online pawns, or grinding to be overleveled.
I know it's late in the thread, but scather actually has nothing to do with pawns climbing. It's a common misconception.
Try it yourself! Make a pawn, use potions to max their scather values and nothing else, allow them no interaction until you save them at Gran Soren. Create copycats with inclinations of your preference. Then take the pawn out and just observe them. Your pawn will not climb enemies until it sees you or another pawn do so; I guarantee it.
Climbing is a learned and team tactic. IE- pawns will climb a monster in am attempt to keep it steady or grounded for the arisen.
>The brilliant Dark Souls series has surpassed 8.5m sales, and more than 3.25m of those were on PC.
>According to the numbers:
>Dark Souls has sold 2,828,000 units worldwide
>Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition ("with Artorias of the Abyss") has sold 2,765,000 units worldwide
>Dark Souls 2 has sold 2,311,000 units worldwide
>Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin has sold 600,000 units worldwide
>That's a total of 8,504,000 sold
>According to SteamSpy:
>Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition has sold 1,977,541 (+/- 33,243) units on Steam
>Dark Souls 2 has sold 994,455 (+/- 23,621) units on Steam
>Dark Souls 2: Scholars of the First Sin has sold 256,772 (+/- 12,021) units on Steam
>That's a total of 3,228,768 sold (+/- 68,885)
Speaking of Ranger. Thinking of going Assassin then switching to Ranger.
How is Rangers compared to Assassins on the fun scale?
I never much cared for using the bow unless I had to as an Assassin. Is it different playing Ranger?
I'm not going to preorder because the bonuses are shit, I refuse to pay in advance for things, and I'm not americuck, so I have an actual decent internet connection and I can download the game in less than 5 minutes.
Even if you're overleveled, BBI is hard without BBI gear. Which he wont have because that requires rift crystals to obtain and upgrade. Rift crystals require insane grinding, or getting your pawn hired, which without online access he cannot do.
BBI without pawns or BBI gear is a fucking chore. You get 2-3 shotted and every enemy takes 10 minutes to kill.
Why would you purposely put yourself through that kind of shit?
>What kind of pawn you makin'?
>What kind of Arisen you makin'?
>Who you gonna make your beloved?
Maybe Mercedes if I can bother managing my affections.
Not sure about the pawn though. It's proving quite hard to decide. I kinda want to try and train him well, but I also don't want to play the same class as him.
Rangers are different. Shortbows are like using an assault rifle, longbows are like using a sniper rifle. Longbows are strong as fuck and have much longer effective range, but you are pretty much immobile when using them.
I do, in fact I just upgraded my PC.
I just don't support cancerous practices such as delaying ports for 4 years.
So yeah, if those fucks want my money, better treat this platform with some respect next time.
They never had any intention whatsoever to port this game to PC. It would've served it's job perfectly fine on consoles.
It only got ported to PC because of an increase in demand recently, likely due to DDO.
I did get it with the PS plus so I would have the license and alas I feel very much guilty that I will eventually downlodad it, but who knows, between all the games I gotta play first I might end up buying it before.
What he said, but you still have your daggers ready to slice them open even if they get close. Or, if you want to use the fuckload of stamina that rangers get, just blast them apart from point blank range with tenfold flurry. Even bosses recoil from eating that right in their face, and you have the stamina to dump four or five of them one after another. Even more depending on your level.
It has a loli you can literally turn into your waifu. Picture related. There are other lolis too.
You can also make your character/pawn into lolis. Literal 3ft tall little girls. So can other people. And you can hire them.
Ah. I found shortbows to be way to weak to be fun. But a powerful bow, along with mouse aiming might be quite fun.
Man I wish the stats worked differently and you could distribute them yourself.
Then again min-maxing is pretty unnecessary.
You could have a team of four lolis and romance a loli.
pic related, me second from the left with the squad
They never intended to port it, like Dark Souls it's coming to PC due to fan demand. You have to understand Japs don't even consider PC games, the developer seemed legitimately surprised people wanted this. However unlike DS this doesn't seem to be a rush job.
No, i'm a consumer that has some respect for myself.
Just like how I don't buy pieces of shit like AC Unity, I won't buy games that should have come out 4 years ago.
But hey, if you want to taste that delicious Capcom turd entering your mouth while thanking them, you are in your right to do so.
>I know literally nothing about Japan!
>I shit post on /v/ all day!
PC gaming has been getting a lot of attention in Japan as the neets are finally catching on they can play more than pr0n VNs on there. Many companies are making a big push to help get Steam better known in Japan by pushing products to steam as well as doing a good bit of advertising for said products.
The PC market in Japan is booming - More so than consoles but obviously much less than mobile. But it's still a growing presence and the only real home entertainment aside from the PS4 these days so not surprising.
It isn't just fan demand, it doesn't cost a lot according to companies like Bamco, Capcom, and Squeenix to make these ports happen and polish them up a bit. So it's just money in the bank even if they don't sell tons, there's a very realistic profit expectancy and most of these games have been vastly exceeding it in the NA/EU markets alone. Japan growing into PC gaming is only going to further this.
I was living on a little farm on the outskirts of a city for 6 months and the best internet possible was 200kbits which was shared with 9 people. It's not always about being poor or not to afford something, now I live like 1km closer to the city and have 100mbit
>What kind of pawn you makin'?
Probably gonna go with a strong, Brianne-style warrior woman, except mine has a more beautiful and mature wipe to her.
>What kind of Arisen you makin'?
Probably gonna roll another strider or a maguck archer. Not sure what hes gonna look like, already did a raidenish arisen and after that a fighter who looked like old snake.
>Who you gonna make your beloved?
Mercedes, witch or
the cute tavern lady from Gran Soren that gave me an weird hardon
>PCucks getting hyped for a old gen port
You kill your Pawn aka closest follower to kill the dragon that stole your heart in the beginning of the game and left you for dead, you die anyways
RPG game where you don't have to destroy anyone.
>talking about a game means you're shilling
Oh, sure! Just like everyone who talks about Hotel Dusk and Last Window are shills!
Oh wait... you can't shill for a company that went bankrupt and can't get a cent for people talking about their game...
>being objectively wrong
The cc in this game is great.
I legit don't understand how people think others are shilling for a 4 year old game.
It's the actual equivalent of someone posting a picture of Jurassic Park, mentioning they like the T-Rex scene, and then having someone tell them they're shilling.

Wanna know why?
Because there was no PCuck cancer. Wait until the "BAWWWWWWWW THIS WANDERING CHIMERA IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE KEEPS KILLING ME I'M ONLY LEVEL 2 HOW DO I BEAT" and spam of ugly as fuck waifu avatarfagging.
>whaaaa i got spoiled of a years old game
Stay mad kiddo.
>being this mad that PCfags stole your game again
I'll shit on a shitter if I damn well please
Really? I won't judge your love, anon.
They only become idiots if you do idiotic shit like pick up every single item when you know most of it will be worthless, and do retarded shit like trying to jump up to platforms clearly not meant to be climbed by any means
Just like GTAV and Arkham Knight right kiddo?
But you can on the PC version. Just find the save file, make a copy of it, then delete the original.
Bam, now you can make a new save game and if you want to switch, just switch the filenames.
>People ranting about how amazing Dragon's Dogma's magic is are proof that having flashy fireworks is enough to get praise.
Magic isn't just fireworks, it actually feels you're casting a huge tornado or huge fireballs, unlike other games it really feels you're mastering the elements.
If you have multiple saves you could transfer items willy nilly between saves or employ a party of your own specifically trained pawns. And it would fuck about a bit with their networking I'd wager.
>you should be manually doing something the devs could make an option in an instant
Or just allow multiple saves. The whole "it would interfere with the online aspect" is complete bullshit
I really wish console exclusivity wasn't a thing, wouldn't touch a console if that was the case.
Imagine if the guy who made Devil May Cry 3 walked into a bar where he saw a bunch of Americans talking about Skyrim and wanted to make his own version of it.
Just google it you lazy cunt.
It's just lame because some people would like to make multiple characters for the fun of it. Having to go through extra hoops and constantly switch internal files is just tedious for something that they could easily program themselves.
There is a very justifiable reason, the save you have controls the changes your pawn goes through. If you had multiple saves, the server had to store multiple pawns from a single person, that he or she might not ever use.
If it's 1, it doesn't really matter, since 2,000,000 pawns is a much smaller number than, say, 500,000 x 6 pawns.
You could argue that you could make an "active" save file, and that's the one that the server utilizes for hiring, and the other ones are strictly local, both yours and everyone else, but a mode that forces you to skip out on a major gameplay element that clearly was focus of the development and forces you to use some shitty pre-made pawn that aren't as interesting as the ones millions of users can make would probably negatively affect reactions towards the game.
Then again, what the fuck would you know or care, you're just shitposting.
>not having a qt trap shota that you eventually age up into a qt husbando
lol tell the guys at telestra you really want jewtube
That's right cuck. What are you gonna do about it?
It's a Monster Hunter x Dark Souls ripoff (not really Dark Arsien maybe because it came out at the popularity of the Dark Souls DLC)
It's a pretty good RPG with an extremely slow crawl start, takes some hours for things to really kick up with huge monster battles
>go into the rift and find the pawn I like using has been replaced by something completely different
There's a reason it's there, anon. Also if items are granted to one pawn and the user starts a new game, their new pawn will recieve any items left for the old one (since gifting is tied to the player ID).
Think of it as a blessing, instead of being an indecisive fuck who never finishes a game cos he wants to start again and make a 12th character, you can just stick to one character and finish the game.
And if that doesn't work you can literally copy and paste save data around which is literally the EXACT SAME FUCKING THING as when a game does it but games have a pretty UI for it.
Capcom don't support it but they're not stopping it either, and yet people complain on the one platform where multiple saves is now easily managed, but no, gotta moan right? Like jesus christ.
>you invalidated your point because you were mean
I'm sorry anon, but I call it as it is, you clearly didn't take the time to think about it, and the way you're replying to anyone else seems like you don't actually give a fuck, you just want to cry about it.
If I hurt your feelings, suck it up, you gigantic faggot.
It's easy; when you change active save files, if a pawn from one account is rented, they'll still be with you until they're sent back, and only affect their origin save. It's not that hard to make it so having different saves would keep things personal to each save and avoid accidental crossovers
My only hope is that you can use hotkeys AND a controller.
I don't mind freeing a hand for a split second if it means I can re-equip the lantern and drink Vim at the press of a button.
It still probably plays better with a controller. I'm just hoping it plays alright with M&K since it's usually what I feel the most comfortable with. I can see Ranger being nice as well. And you know, the hotkeys.
Yeah. That would be sweet.
Worst case you could set up a Joy2Key setup. Though obviously that's far from ideal.
But the result is just alot of clutter in the rift with thousands of level 1-20 pawns and people deliberately making their own alternate pawns to use on their main account, thus they never hire anyone else's pawns and everyone gets less RC and gifts. Also less high level pawns.
You could restrict hiring pawns from your own account but people would complain about that too.
Itsuno stuck to his guns on this for a reason and I think the community would be less cosier and there would be less memorable pawns if player's could just chuck them into the pile with four others they made.
They even let you completely change character appearance in the post-game and you can play every class with no tangible penalty, it's not like anything is fixed that you would ever need a new character. If you want to start again, then start again nigga, no backsies.
>You could restrict hiring pawns from your own account but people would complain about that too.
Maybe, but that would only be whiny shits who want to cheat the system. Even then, nothing wrong with wanting multiple saves, some people just like to restart without losing their previous progress. If the souls games can make a similar thing work without interfering with your individual saves, it should be doable here as well
>Itsuno stuck to his guns on this for a reason and I think the community would be less cosier and there would be less memorable pawns if player's could just chuck them into the pile with four others they made.
You could always do that and still can with Family Share. I set up an alt account today and it seems like it will work fine. You see, one pawn is great but if you bring along his brother or sister that can be more memorable for the community.
I think multiplayer would kill Dogma though.
Wasn't even aware you could do that. I just bought one of the first party 360 pads made for PC to save myself trouble. Although I've been using the controller from my Xbone a lot now since I don't even use the system anymore.
Most likely we will get a mod that replaces them with PS prompts. Almost all recent PC ports gets them these days.
>Is d-pad very important in action heavy scenes like in Dante's part in DMC4?
No. In fact. You should pretty much never use the d-pad since it can fuck up your pawn a bit.
It's used for commanding your pawns(Attack, Help, Stay, that shit). But using them a lot, especially Help, has a tendency to make your pawn become a bit shit.
The D-Pad isn't that important, it's literally only pawn commands that you could easily play without (and arguably it's better if you don't). You need everything else though.
If it turns out you can map certain actions to hotkeys then I would just replace them with Item buttons assuming it's possible, as on the console version the ONLY way to access items was by pausing the game and frankly that sucked ass.
It still wouldn't be that hard to make it clear what pawns are "active" while switching saves. They could even have a restriction by using different servers similar to MMOs, wherein the first save and pawn use one, while another would be assigned to the next server down. They could probably even limit to something like 3 or 4 servers, since people probably wouldn't have more than 2 games started around the same point.
>mod to get rid of the the post dragon-ash clouds
Probably won't happen but man that would be nice.
Also. Why does that happen? Seeing as the Dragon has been killed before shouldn't the world already be ashy and the everfall everfally?
So every save file you make after the first one would inevitably be in a less populated server than everyone else?
Or are you saying "making the servers random" and slashing the total number of pawns you could ever rent by 3 or 4?
How can you not understand the major fucking problem of that? The Pawn System was pretty much the core gameplay mechanic and the reason for this game to exist, and you want to neuter it just to allow an extra save file, something you STILL can do even without an intended way.
This is of course, ignoring what happens if your pawn gets rented and you "activate" another one, or if you delete your save file. Or the fact that most people that start new games drop it after the first few hours, which would leave a high level pawn deactivated, and a low level pawn activated, leaving the high level pool barren.
Really, you should go with everything and max them out eventually. No skills unlock across more than one vocation, so maxing them all will give you a pool of abilities to then mix and match with. Namely some of the assassin skills are pivotal for dealing with the shit on Buttered Butt Aisle, so it's good to play with different jobs so you can create a great build
It's simple; multiple servers and pawns are assigned to them. The game is going to have quite a large pool not only from the previous player base returning, but the inevitable surge of new players coming to test the waters. And most servers have a finite limit, so it wouldn't be difficult to make it that pawns belonging to a single profile owner are kept separate to avoid them cheating, while still allowing a means of meeting players who might be on another server
I only played the game a short time ( no PS3). Can every class use the passive boosts that you can unlock? I want to make a magic archer but that Fighter skill that let's you carry more shit seems more or less mandatory. Can I use that skill with the MA class?
So you would slash the player base in little communities and drastically reduce the number of pawns you could ever rent. Just say that so I know you literally do not know what you're saying and are arguing for the sake of arguing.
You willfully ignored what I said to repeat a solution I already debunked, that takes a special kind of retardation.
There are a few moments when it might be a bit challenging, and the DLC can fuck you up if you aren't playing attention. But overall it's a pretty easy game.
I find TES to generally be harder(well, Skyrim and Oblivion at any rate since Morrowind and Daggerfall are pretty damn easy).
I can't speak for the hard mode though.
Use the Family Share/Library Sharing and make some alts you dinguses. You want to swap files like a PC nigger go ahead, few people are going to hire your pawn if you keep switching it or starting over.
