Why am i a slug now and what was up with the doll? bloodborne thread also i guess.
now you've turned into a tiny space squid god, and the doll will take good care of you because she loves you because she's best girl.
And also because you freed her from Gehrman's old flaccid cock by killing him.
If you read the description of that specific one it hints that gherman used it to create the hunters dream, and the doll brought to life.
>still no sfm model of her
I WANT TO DO LEWDS
That was a not-dementor. Scared the shit out of me first time I saw one. Make your way up to the second floor of the building you were placed in and there should be a lantern there.
Do you wanna hook up and set a date?
We could be very happy together, you know? I would whisper how much I love you and caress you, make you the most important thing in my life.
Wanna build this road to happiness with me?
I beat this game yesterday and I have no idea what the fuck happened. Anyone know some good guides that can take me through the games' content? I did my first playthrough blind and must've missed a lot.
Even if you completed every ounce of the game's content you'd likely still have the "what the fuck just happened?" reaction, because DS doesn't explain much. There are countless theories and lore videos because of this.
I definitely would look up how to access the harder-to-reach areas, like The Painted World which was absolutely fantastic.
You probably missed the route to the Forgotten Temple, where you can find most of the items explaining how everything happened and also find a very important cameo from Demon's Souls,
Saint Urbain driven to madness
What do you think is the best course of action:
Play a second Bloodborne palythrough without looking up any guides but just try to explore everything?
Or use a guide to do everything?
DOLL IS SLEEP!
DONT WAKE HER!
Okay guys there's something I don't get.
Why does the doll love us? All hunters are murderous mutant douchebags who don't take baths, there's nothing attractive about that.
I mean even if you say that she was just made that way (which is doubtful), why would Gerhart design her to love anyone other than him? Actually she doesn't seem to like him as much as she loves us.
It makes zero sense.
No you don't, you actually want to kiss her and hug her but your subconscious is scared by the moral implications of this desire, so instead you channel it as basic lust, which is much easier to assume in this day and age than straight-up love.
I think I will go with butthurt /pol/ cuck who can't handle the banter.
just arrived in the mail
will playing bloodborne before demon's souls ruin demon's souls for me?
have a couple hundred hours in darksouls, a few dozen in DS2
I really think sony needs to buy a bloodborne 2 or another demons souls. Exclusive to PS4. They need a from exclusive.
Or maybe... instead of remastering demon's souls, do a demons souls remake. Completely new textures animations and so on. Demons souls in the bloodborne engine.
Why do I feel like I have even less of a sense of direction than the previous games?
>DeS: Every world has a path you NEED to take
>DaS: There are branching path's with obvious meat gates
>DaS2: Like DeS but without the justification
>BB: LOL LET ME STEAL YOU IN MY BAG AND GIVE YOU 3 BRANCHING PATHS
I remember some people saying there was a small pool of blood below Maria in her boss room + she's definitely stated to be related to the Cainhurst nobles. So yeah, she may have given birth to a Great One baby (Gehrman getting, you know what, by Oedon probably) then killed herself.
Demon souls is faster than Dark Souls 2 and arguably Dark Souls.
The gameplay is like Dark Souls minus a few nice additions like jumping and plunge attacks.
But the bosses and atmosphere of Demons stands apart from the Souls series. Hopelessness is the name of DeS middle name which also lets it stand apart from Bloodborne too.
Bloodborne meanwhile has some of the best meaty combat of an arpg and is accented by some spectacular boss themes and fights.
Really you should just play the entire series. Every game offers a fresh atmosphere and take on the standard gameplay.
It's HP Lovecraft's Dreamlands. It's an alternate world where everything is as real as this world.
It's souls even though it's called Bloodborne. Come up with a theory and have Vaati steal it.
Why did he make the deal with Moon Presence though?
And our character isn't the only one who went through it right, how come they never went back? Why do they/we get sucked into the dream?
Vaati steals, he's being doing it since he was an anon taking credit for all the theories on /dsg/ and /v/.
Saying he was inspired by anything ignores the often blatant copy-paste he'll pull in imagery and observations.
He stole several observations and specifically worked off the beginning of this.
His Dark Souls 2 vid with Lucantial has several video segments that aligned with those posted by one Astrova who did something similar before Vaati.
His early vids are all based on /v theories that he lifted because anonymous people can't claim theories.
>document does not exist.
yet again you fail to come up with hard evidence
if you made the theories then why didn't you make your own videos?
Tbh I never understood a single stuff about DaS1's early lore.
Like, where does the first flame come from ? Did humans / gods suddenly rose from Hollow statut to conscious being all at once, and then started building cities and kingdom and shit before launching war on the demons ? Is mankind the sole creation of the pigmy or did he solely give them pieces of his soul ?
>Not being close enough with Kos to call her Kosm
>Killing this cutie when did literally nothing too you
>She won't attack you even if you walk right to her
>The only reason she fights at all is to defend herself from YOUR attacks
Beasts, the lot of ya
Blood Vials from hunters.
They are a cure all that fixes any medical condition. It carries the old blood which is of dubious origin mixed with human blood with the best quality possibility being mensual blood. Either way the blood is polluted with the plague of beasts.
In some ways the people of Yharnam know it's spread by blood. Old Hunter gear had facial covers (as does all Hunter gear) and thick clothing to keep the blood out. But they apparently have been lied to or misled to ignore the blood ministrations leading to outbreaks of beasts. At the time you arrive just about every has injected a tainted vial to fix some fuck up in their body.
Pale blood Hunters (namely you) suffer from a medical condition that prevents the full infection and ascent to beasthood. This allows you to use the vials without fear of ending up like Gasgoine or any of the other addled hunters.
>It carries the old blood
Yeah, that's what I meant. Where does thta come from in apparently massive quantities?
>Pale blood Hunters (namely you) suffer from a medical condition that prevents the full infection and ascent to beasthood
That's not what Paleblood is.
>all those people saying you will watch over humans or give a fuck about anything happening in yharnam anymore
You don't give a shit about ants crawling around your feet, why would you care about mortals while becoming a creature that transcends time and space?
just because we refer to nature as a mother doesn't make it female, Kos is only definitely female if you're limiting yourself to a human understanding
Great Ones might bother with such things
birth isn't even an exclusively female trait
WHY is the first boss in the DLC so fucking difficult?
I've played every souls game to completion and this giant fuckwit is going to make me pull my hair out
He's on a very short list of bosses I've been stuck on for days
>he still believes taking the blood turns you into a beast
No you moron it's when you start enjoying the ripping and tearing too much that you become a beast.
Look at the the claw mark rune
Although the difference is subtle, Runesmith Caryll describes the "Beast" as a horrific and unwelcome instinct deep within the hearts of men, while "Clawmark" is an alluring invitation to accept this very nature.
It's a "Bloodborne thread that doesn't turn into a lore argument" thread
Because the other gods do. They're sympathetic in nature. It's just that they have as much trouble understanding humans as humans have understanding them, and they fuck things up when trying to help.
Or maybe the hunter became just an ordinary squid.
Amelia's great and all, but MILFs are even better.
He's not artificially difficult in the slightest, he's just really fucking hard
I completed my first playthrough last night, DLC and all, and he was by far the hardest boss in the game and one of the only 3 that took me more than 2 tries to beat. He's just really tough in a legitimate way. All of my losses were my fault
Nigga what, Orphan is awfully readable and his second phase doesn't really add anything substantial to his moveset. Unless he highjumps, you can stay close to him for most of the time pretty fucking easily
laurence is more guilty of that than orphan.
I still like laurence though because they fuck with your expectations so much by making him flop around during all of his regular animations-making his range like 50 percent greater.
The soundtrack might even be better than Ludwig's.
>that one NPC who spams the Blunderbuss attack
I hope who ever designed the AI for that enemy is flogged in the street
That's what pale blood possibly is.
It's not just the blood of the great ones but also the disease that brings you to Yharnam. It's an explaination of why the pc is special and why some hunters dream and some apparently don't.
Ebritas, Daughter of the cosmos
The great ones have defined genders or at least adhere to them.
But seriously? You're going to sit here and deny the myriad bits of evidence that the corpse on the beach is KOS. Is it because it's dead? Because it ain't. Kos is still alive someone in some dream, or maybe the real world.
So every other Yharnam citizen enjoys ripping and tearing? You're telling me that Gilbert in his house, suffering from sickness got an urge to rip and tear.
You're thinking of hunters. Due to the fishing hamlets curse they ascend to monstrous beasthood quickly by becoming addled.
It's a very long playthrough, but it covers absolutely everything.
It's still not finished actually, but he's almost there.
you're a kid now, you're a
I shouldn't be laughing this much at such a
Here's the thing; you aren't supposed to fuck the doll, even fapping to her is borderline wrong. Not because dolls aren't sexy, but because she's too gentle, too kind to be fucked.
That's exactly why she arouses me, I know that even if I fucked her body apart, she'd still forgive me and love me just as much, and I'm not saying that in a cynical manner.
I wouldn't be so sure. The Great Ones actually seem pretty pathetic, weak and desperate for how utterly superior they're supposed to be. They can't breed by themselves, they can barely (if at all) breed with the "help" of humans and while humans may not have attained complete understanding of Great One fuckery, the batshit insane Yharnamites clearly know enough in order to fuck with the Great Ones. The ant analogy is way off.
In the end, in BB they're a species (?) that can't really have offspring and die to melee weapons in a few minutes. They need humanity more than humanity needs them.
Moot was a piss-poor waifufag. His waifu was from NGE.
Now we have Hiroyuki, whose waifus are Rabby from Gall Force, Iczer-2, M-66 F6-402, and Sivil.
He's a patrician waifufag with great taste and commitment.
Paleblood is also your disease and the note at the beginning of the game could very well be for the ministers instead of you.
Seek pale blood to transcend the hunt.
In otherwords seek those suffering from pale blood and give them transfusions. Make pale blood hunters and maybe the hunt can be ended.
The pale blood sky can very well be read as a hunter's sky specifically pale blood hunters who hunt great ones.
It's just one reading of the games lore, yours is the other. I just ascribe to mine because I perfer that reading and I feel it helps answer why Eileen and Djura dreamed but other hunters never reference it.
are vermin the curse that was placed on the hunters?
the npc on the fishing village also mentions of "a curse for she and a curse for he" i think. Is that about maria and gehrman?
>and die to melee weapons in a few minutes
The only reason you can kill them is because you have ancient echoes in your own veins, becoming closer to them.
I doubt an entire army of simple human soldiers will be able to do shit against an MP-tier Great One
>you fuck the Doll roughly in a moment of weakness
>she offers no resistance as you hold her down and violently penetrate her
>after you blow your load you instantly feel horrible and can hardly live with yourself
>you turn away from her in disgust at what you've done
she hugs you gently from behind and pecks you on the cheek, and you pivot your head to find her smiling warmly as she tightens her hug
"Oh, good hunter..."
>are vermin the curse that was placed on the hunters?
I'm not sure yet. The vermin seem to be similar to blood dregs in that only select people could see them. It's possible that the maggots and especially the one that grows out of the bloodstarvened beasts body are adult vermin.
Perhaps they feed off of man's inner beastly urges and grow in size as we approach beasthood?
>the npc on the fishing village also mentions of "a curse for she and a curse for he" i think. Is that about maria and gehrman?
Possibly. They are both hunters and as church members of high standing (which they surely should've been given their relationship to the church and Laurence and Wilhelm). The curse was laid on hunters. And the orphan's existence and suffering is apparently a troubling thing to Gherman since he sleeps easier when the Hunter's Nightmare is ended.
It's there in my linked posts. Follow the chain and educate yourself. Lol I was just joking when I thought you were a retard but now you're making me start to believe it.
paleblood being a desease is not stated in the game at all. where did you get that from?
also no way the note is for the blood minister. He is not on the hunt. You are put on the hunt through the blood transfusion, and you have to find and kill the moon presence, aka paleblood, to transcend it and become a great one yourself. You could very well be a willing patient of the church trying to contact the great ones, much like the ones on the research hall; with the Yarnham sunrise ending being you backing out of that decision and the other two endings you trying to ascend.
>Paleblood is also your disease
Baseless theories from fanmade Google docs aren't evidence bro. There's nothing in the game that says there's anything inherently "special" about dreamers that makes them dreamers compared to normal people. It's better to assume the moon presence just picks whoever it wants to be in the dream since it seems to have control over it and makes you the guardian of the dream if you kick Gherman's ass without using enough umbilical cords.
Paleblood is only ever referenced in the game as the paleblood sky of the red moon and as a "name" for the nameless moon presence
You seek paleblood to transcend the hunt because when you defeat the moon presence, you literally transcend the hunt and become a great one.
Ashen blood isn't referred to until you get the antidote item.
Pale blood is specifically what you mention to the minister.
"Paleblood?" Is his first line.
And you were getting the transfusion specifically to remove your disease. That's what blood ministration is, it cures diseases which is why your character went to Yharnam. It is home to blood ministration
It's called the pale blood hunt. So if the document isn't showing Google it. Compare to Vaati's Bloodborne video.
Or, you know, you can sit here and keep making a fool of yourself.
I don't think so. It's impossible to kill the doll just like gehrman, meaning she's also probably being sustained by the dream inside the dream, like gerhman and the player. She's probably traped there by the moon presence
Also there is her conection to Maria. She is under the curse of kos.
The hunter using a dead great one to become a great one himself is also maybe influenced by Oedon, being that Oedon is blood himself. The beast in the blood after the transfusion could be Oedon reaching out to you and the messengers pushing him out is due to the Moonpresence's animosity towards Oedon and other great ones. It could have chosen you as a hunter just to piss of Oedon
Well, her "life" is tied to insight, so her being given life by MP could be possible. Of course, some believe it was also responsible for the dream itself, but we clearly see it doesn't collapse after killing the old one. Though it's possible whatever those "pillars" are could be the real source of the dream
>Rom is actively protecting the citizens of Yharnam from the Blood Moon shenanigans and seeing Amygdalas which would drive them insane
>the player character brutally slaughters her with no provocation
Chosen Undead, eat your heart out.
Ebrietas shoots red blood at you to induce frenzy though
maybe paleblood isn't about the blood. It's just referring to the color of the red moon which is not blood red but only slightly. Maybe it just symbolizes an antagonism with Oedon whose essence is blood
When Gehrman says "What was it? The blood, the hunt, or the horrible dream?" after the player refuses to leave the dream, I like to think that it's not blood-addled madness or anything, but actually that the Good Hunter doesn't want to leave the Doll behind. I mean, shit, would you?
You would think the place would have at least wavered for a moment. Unless you yourself were already an Old One after eating the third baby bungee cord and just didn't choose to transcend until your predecessor was disposed of
the hunters dream could be the result of the sins comited by the old hunters, namely gehrman and maria using the umbilichal chord to attach himself to kos's corpse to achieve great power Resulting in the curse of the hunters dream. The moon presence being agent of that curse, it is a curse of paleblood.
The moon presence could be irrelevant to the existence of the dream since it's connected to kos and not the moonpresence
I know I wouldn't. Horrible dream my ass, there's tons of surreal horror aesthetics, lovecraftian monsters AND a cute doll who's extremely similar to my waifu.
It's basically paradise.
>being stuck in that lonely old shack with the doll and moon presence forever, with the only other company being hunters passing by who you have to kill eventually
I don't know, every hunter mentions the dream, so it stands to reason its existence was made specifically for the hunt. Gehrman even seems to speak of it like he was fine with the place at first, only realizing it's a hell because someone has to be the drill sergeant for any new hunters. Though we can assume the childhood ending means the hunts will cease since pretty much every major power in the game is dead
Understatements galore, friend. Need we go over his lucantile video and dissect how he stole visual elements from Ostrava namely her brother parrying to demonstrate his skill?
Or how his entire intro to the Bloodborne lore vid is almost note for note rip off of paleblood hunt?
There's something in this world called plagiarism. And Vaati makes money off it like nobody's business
Paleblood is many possible things anon. It's as open ended a question as what vermin are or what the child of blood would actually be.
Regardless there was something rotten in Yharnam and it all traced back to an affair with the cosmos
>more than one waifu for life
How the literal fuck is he a patrician you moronic cum-guzzling waste of fucking oxygen?
At least moot had one waifu for life rather than being just another of the "waifu of the month" chucklefucks that populate these threads and every other general for anime/games that has anything remotely female and "cute" in it.
I fucking hate you people, seriously.
That you were looking for a cure to a disease is certain, but what that disease was is not. The minister's comment is meant to throw you off - his entire speech can be construed as either a commendation of Yharnam's medical craft, or a clue to "transcending the hunt". For all we know, the minister's first remark is part of a conversation he and the PC were having about the note - not any disease.
>That part in Yahargul with the 4 hunters who all aggro at once from a million miles away
>implying that between a beautiful and eternally loving Doll waifu, those funny little pussyfaced messengers scrambling around, and a terrifying eldritch God presence, you could possibly be in need of mundane human company
Gehrman is a fucking normie.
Maybe your character's just a hardass who heard about the Hunt and wanted to join the fun - the first note you find? You wrote down what some traveler told you and brought it with you.
You have to make agreements to get paid for your youtube vids. If everyone got paid for their videos, nobody would be able to upload shit like the openings of anime and other shit. Donations are an option, and only suckers ever contribute to that shit.
The doll is a Great One somehow. If you look through her model, specifically her eyes, she has "eyes on the inside". She's pretending to be a dumb doll but in reality she actually ends up loving you (whatever type of "love" it is, it's up to you to interpret) so she will help you out with your new squid powers until you turn into a spooky adult god.
I'm assuming the Moon Presence was just a test of sorts, from her. That's why when you kill it, the hunter's dream stays, along with the doll. You are her child now, in a way, so the "love" she feels for you is probably a motherly one, since all Great Ones want a child.
The hunter's nightmare is connected to Kos, the dream is clearly the domain of the Moon presence and Gherman summoned the moon presence, not Kos.
>"The Third Umbilical Cord precipitated the encounter with the pale moon, which beckoned the hunters and conceived the hunter's dream."
>"The nameless moon presence beckoned by Laurence and his associates. Paleblood."
If his conversation is meant to throw you off the. You can't take any of the Bloodborne messages or dialogues without huge grain of salt unless I'm you anon.
the nature of the conversation was clearly on the topic on blood ministration we can agree on that. And blood ministration cures diseases. It's only logical to imagine that the minister asked what the pc's disease was and the pc replied with 'Paleblood?' Like he was remembering that note about 'seeking Paleblood'. After all you're signing a contract, so just like filling out a doctor card I'd imagine it'd include the name of your affliction
I mean even if you don't agree with me, you have to at least say that's a rational conclusion to the opening.
>NPC Blunderbuss does straight up pumped up video game shotgun damage
>Even with a fuckton of bloodtinge, yours doesn't do nearly enough
That was disappointing. I wanted to shotgun things in the tentacle dick.
....so you admit there's money to be made and then you still keep to your point that there's no money to be made?
What? Have you seen vaati's Pateron page? Have you ever seen the YouTube ad bux or the many controversies relating towards artistic license and copyright?
Are you going to sit here and tell me that this currency that he's earning is money? Because if you're trolling me now, bravo.
Umbilical cord created the hunters dream, called forth the palrmoon by making contact with the moon presence who in turn made a covenant with ghermin to mentor dream hunters for eternity to hunt beasts.
It's either than or Ebrietas blood, although that's the wrong color.
If that thing I heard about Bloodletting Beast's name being improperly translated is true and its real name is "source of the beast blood" then maybe it's the source.
Again, you still have to make agreements with youtube to earn money. They don't just give everyone with videos money. And like I said, only suckers go for the donation programs shit
To get out of the hunt
If you don't do anything you're stuck in this shitty town full of werewolves dying over and over, and the only way out is to figure out what the fuck is going on and find paleblood
Aw fuck you, dude, that's an insult. Unlike that fucking thief, I pulled out all of that straight out of the fucking toilet with no evidence whatsoever.
Rude, dude. Fucking rude. Calling me a thief and shit.
I thought they confirmed that
There was also a Facebook post claiming that a sequel was in development but even if that's true that'd almost certainly be a late 2017/early 2018 release
Anything strength based
Boom Hammer can be great, especially since the patch that made it usable by reducing the stamina usage, although personally I thought it was a little plain
Yes, but that isn't because the Hunter isn't powerful enough, as in consuming the umbilical cords and/or gaining Insight does not affect your damage output in any positive way, it doesn't increase your combat effectiveness at all.
Without the cords you wouldn't be able to kill the MP because it wouldn't come to a fight in the first place, but that doesn't mean the MP (or any other Great One) has some absolutely incredible strength and endurance that would make it capable to straight-up combat armies. An army wouldn't do shit because they couldn't even get to the MP in the first place, not because it could actually destroy them.
All the Great Ones operate through vague means and slow-moving plans/plots and they are not very successful in attaining their objectives, they're above any single individual human, absolutely, but they're not some nearly-omnipotent superbeings that can barely notice humanity from the lofty heights where they dwell.
No its more logical to conclude thean asked what are you in Yharnam for, because you are a foreigner, and the player character replies with paleblood.
The statement coincides more closely with the following dialogue because we know there are different types of blood used for certain effects. The language of coming for this type of blood makes better sense than saying you are coming because of disease, since that makes the following dialogue awkward
Playing through BB right now, just beat The One Reborn, shit was metal as fuck. I decided that I've enjoyed it enough to warrant buying the DLC, would I access it after the final boss of the main game, or at some point before?
So, I got the game when it came out, played a little but got annoyed by it because of how long it took to get to the Clerical Beast from the Central Yharnam. Gave it another go right after christmas, got hooked and just finished the game.
I still plan to play it a little more, but should I also get the Souls games? Are they similar enough that I'll like them but still different enough that it won't feel the same?
Also, out of curiosity, is a Arcane/Bloodtinge build possible? And does the DLC escalate with the NG+?
Do it before. If you beat the final boss, you're tossed into NG+, and then you have to beat Vicar Amelia before you can access the DLC. Around level 100 is a reasonable amount of levels to handle most of the DLC.
To be fair, DS2's development was fucked beyond just being made by the B-Team
Also, DS3 isn't being made by the BB team, and Miyazaki is co-directing it with the guy who did the kinect Steel Battalion game
>the conversation was clearly on the topic on blood ministration
once the minister brings it up? sure
>blood ministration cures diseases
that isn't all it does, at this point Yharnamites abuse it like you would a drug
>It's only logical to imagine that the minister asked what the pc's disease was and the pc replied with 'Paleblood?'
if you're departing from the assumption that the PC is looking for a cure to a disease, yes, sure
Ultimately I do agree with you regarding what your character's doing in Yharnam in the first place, but because of later events I can't help but believe that Paleblood refers to the moon and not a disease.
Here's a decent guide to get an Arcane build started, and BT is possible too.
As for the Souls games, I suggest you get one and give it a try. Demon's Souls is most like BB. It lacks polish, but if you like BB you'll probably enjoy DeS as well. Dark Souls is in my opinion the best in the series, but it's much slower than BB and even DeS so you may find it difficult to get into at first, but I still suggest you give it a go.
Dark Souls II is trash if you ask me. Feel free to try it yourself, but don't let it dissuade you from trying the others if you try it first and don't like it.
>Get stuck on Bloodletting Beast
>Come back the day after
>Put in USB and put some music on being tired of hearing the same chalice dungeon boss music being recycled
>Beat him first try
I read a post here on /v/ some time ago, a guy claimed he found some gem or other, and put it on his blunderbuss and it did absurd amount of damage even without bone marrow ash.
I don't recall where he got it, but I assume it was a chalice dungeon grind.
As long as he makes the subscriber limit and produces content that isn't just him putting up a movie he can earn money. You don't have to make an 'argument' to earn YouTube buxs and that is beside the point that Vaati is plagerizing or at the very least is very dubious in his production methods. Even if he wasn't earning anything off YouTube he's still receiving donations for using other people's theories and speculation
this is beside the point that Vaati is plagerizing or at the very least is very dubious in his production methods. Even if he wasn't earning anything off YouTube (he is) he's still receiving donations for using other people's theories and speculation
Getting good arcane gems is a fucking boring grind, but the end result of an arcane build that uses the tools is something really, really fun. The executioner gloves are broken as fuck.
At least TRY to word your shit differently
Abhorrent Beast in Ailing Loran.
It was seriously the fucking hardest boss I've ever had to face, since I was a melee build and didn't know about cheesing with poison. But that satisfaction I got when beating him, holy shit
Why in the holiest fuck would a foreigner be seeking Paleblood and why would he need a blood ministration.
This is some real alterior shit we're talking about where basically any of the basic logical deductions do not apply.
"Ah yes paleblood..... Well, you've come to the right place.... Yahrnam is th home of blood ministration.... You need only unravel it's mystery... But where's an outsider like yourself to begin.... Easy with a bit of Yahrnam blood of your own....
This is literally him saying 'oh that? You came to the right place. We have this thing that fixes that, just let me inject some of our blood into you and introduce the wonderful cure-all of blood ministration.
I just don't see where you're coming from and how anything indicates that my theory is awkward or that it's meant tot mislead you.
I can understand and it's a logical end too, especially since Paleblood and the moon presence are linked. However I just believe it's the special type of blood that makes a Hunter capable of resisting the beastly scourge and thus being a more effective Hunter, perfect for a great one to use.
Haven't beaten it all yet, but I did like the battle with Gasgone. Though I admit the graveyard arena was sometimes too cluttered and got in the way at times.
Witches of cumlick were kind of meh, though it was cool having to scour the room for them instead of just some lumbering beast with an ill-fitting name
I don't think hunters are immune to the scourge, though. I mean there was that one hunter who used the beast claw and could transform, and Father Gascoigne turns into a full beast during his fight.
Because I chose the
submitending and I'm too bummed out to replay it right now
I always loved the atmosphere of the Mergo's Wet Nurse fight even if the fight itself was piss easy
Humans can't resist the scourge only those with the Paleblood seem to be able to resist all effects.
As far as I'm aware there's no evidence that Gascogne can dream like the PC can. Only Eileen and Djura seem to know of it. Thus there's the idea of Paleblood which is a disease that once cured allows the sickly individual to be healthy while also avoiding the beastly taint that brought down men like Gascogne.
As for the Hunter in the nightmare with claw? It's a rune he engraved into his mind.
Ministration refers to more than handing out transfusions to help the sick. What mystery is there to unravel, what needs an outsider begin if a transfusion at the clinic is the answer to his problems? Is the minister simply saying that Iosefka's stock isn't potent enough and that you'll have to go to the Cathedral for the good shit; or is he snagging you into joining the Hunt with some cursed blood which he claims will make you strong enough to take on the beasts, the snickering cunt?
You know who dreams? Blood drunkards. The old hunters took too much and were trapped in a Nightmare, while your character simply wasn't used to the stuff and dozed off into a milder Dream.
Wrong in all accounts. The endless nightmare is their whim and it wss brought to an end because of petty squabbles and the birth of an extremely powerful hunter-great one. Human armies end up as meat fodder and beasts against them. They are literally inmortal to the Common man
