If you could revive one dead series, and guarantee at least one good sequel, what would it be? Pic related.
Or is it only okay when Nintendo does it?
I'd like to see Takahashi actually finish the game as well as finish the rest of whatever was mentioned in Perfect Works.
Please explain yourself you are being very vague.
Spyro is a side character in one game which contains plastic toys
Amiibo are plastic toys, but Nintendo still make games faithful to their originals - like DK TF
What the fuck are you on about?
emulating the first Dino Crisis right now and that would be really nice, though I would prefer a remake over a sequel, pulled off with the same quality as the Resident Evil remake had
Exact same gimmick.
The only difference is that while Nintendo does nothing ambitious and never tries to do anything new, other devs step outside their comfort zone to try and do things new and innovative.
I remember when Skylanders was just a concept and everyone was saying that it would never work. Now, not only has it been a huge success, but Nintendo and Disney have copied it.
>Nintendo still makes games faithful to their originals
Yep, just like Zelda, Metroid, Fire Emblem, F-Zero, Star Fox, and Pokemon all are right?
No mainline game since Skyward and stalling for time with waifushit and muosu shit spinoffs, no successor for Prime or any mainline games, pandering to waifufags and easy mode + DLC shit, no game in forever, shitty looking game, and mobile shit
Skylanders did well, but the game has nothing to do with Spyro
Spyro could have been replaced with anything else and it would have been successful either way
So please tell me what it has to do with Spyro
Skylanders is not a Spyro game regardless of its quality.
Spyro was used as a marketing ploy for the first game, but has since been dropped from the title and is not even a central character anymore.
The world and story have nothing to do with Spyro, either OG or Legend of.
>all three games combined into one, stories altered to tie together as a single narrative
>this involves more emphasis on world building in the realms (think expanded Breeze Harbor/Zephyr story)
>after YotD a "fourth game" unlocks with a new story taking place in expanded/remixed versions of the old realms
Actually my dream is for a trilogy remake that makes all of the realms a consistent, open world, plus new content.
Something just feels so right about that
Like maybe the NPCs could wander through realms you've cleared and their dialogue can change based on location and where you are in the story or which NPCs you've talked to before
>less than 30 seconds apart
Spyro a Milion Times yes! I could imagine Spyro 4 - 10 easily in my head. I got Spyro 3 in 2001 as my first game it was the best one to start! I wished future Spyro games had the same style and voice acters forever... If I even win 1 000 000 000 euro I will put together a team and do a Spyro Aboriginal Series Year of the XXXXXXX
>Steal formula from Super Mario 64/Sunshine or Rayman 2
>publish game with tight controls and interesting art direction
Worked well for pic related. This game was Super Mario 64 to a tee, but with slower platforming and the inclusion of combo-based combat.
Either this >>323015650 or Medievil. Though I don't own any consoles anymore, so I guess I'd go with STALKER.
>if shitty point and click adventure games can thrive on nostalgia 3d platformers should too.
I really hope yooka laylee does well. I miss the collectathon platformer genre, my nostalgia for it is basically unmatched
You know OP, the worst part is all the series I can think of aren't technically dead, they have recentish games, but they still feel like they've been gone for a long time.
resident evil is just an action series now, so if you were a fan of the wonky tank controls and weird camera angles its been over a decade
recent metroid was handled so poorly that I think the last true metroid game was prime 3, which came out 9 years ago
>End message of Commander Keen 6 says to look forward to The Universe is Toast.
>25 years later I'm still waiting.
Here. This is the game I want revived.
Or at least on virtual console[/Spoiler]
Farewell Dylan, you wonderful bastard.
