These are my current games along with Tales of the Abyss which is on my desk. I personally love all these games. Looking into getting pokemon mystery dungeon/etrian Mystery dungeon, link between worlds, FF explores in a few weeks, and DQ 7 and 8 to show support for the series.

It's basically a gba flash card with the ram expansion. Most good slot-1 flash cards have integrated support for this particular slot-2 flash card. If you flash it with a rom, it will work in a gba (assuming you jam it in there or get the fat one)

All of the Zelda games are good, though in different respects. ALBW is the best Zelda game in years, Triforce Heroes is a fun multiplayer spin on Zelda, both are a breath of fresh air in a stagnant franchise. OOT and MM are only recommended if you haven't played the originals / have a serious nostalgia boner: they're very good remakes but the 3DS has better things to offer than remasters of N64 games.

Despite what a lot of people say, both Pokemon games on the 3DS are solid entries in the series.

Smash Bros. is rad, and is actually somewhat comparable to the WiiU version. It lacks some of WiiU's bells and whistles, but the core game is there. Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7, on the other hand, are both decent games, but feel entirely invalidated by the existence of their WiiU counterparts.

Kid Icarus: Uprising is the best game you will ever play, but the control scheme is not suited to the 3DS and its painful to play.

Pushmo is a fantastic puzzle game that deserves a look. It's not even $10. Do it.

If you like classic Final Fantasy, and are willing to put up with a disappointing third act, check out Bravely Default. Its everything you loved about old Final Fantasy titles but made modern and cool again.

Can't speak for n3ds because I have the older one.

I hear it's slightly lighter (helps for extended gaming) the battery life is longer, and it's got more processing power.

SMT4, unless you're a fan of the series
Sm4sh - play the wiiu version. Also, bring friends or it's not going to be very fun. Actually, play a better fighter instead.
Fantasy Life - grind your life away with bighead avatars. Shallow and repetitive.
Pokemon - New pokemans, same game. The formula hasn't changed, but collecting everything still takes forever. Hardware lag in multi-battles is depressing for a current gen AAA title.
Rune Factory 4 - Literally put me to sleep
Theatrhythm - Tap along to music, or just stream that music while you play a game that doesn't suck.
