How many children actually play this? I've only seen adults playing. And they're mostly manchildren and female weeaboos.
What does it matter though, you can't see, hear or even chat with them anyway
The only way is to check their Miiverse or whatever and why would you ever do that?
Just play the game, it's pretty fun
Have to get back into it myself, haven't played for a good 2 months
I love Splatoon OP.
>mfw not weaboo
>mfw Military autist
>mfw half european
>mfw I am autistic over video games but not anime
You'd be what demographic can attract what OP.
Seriously what kind of reaction was he expecting? I can just picture him sitting there going "Oh man I'm gonna troll all the Nintendrones It's gonna be epic!!"
All you have to do is remember that your team members might be 12 years old. Fucking annoying to get killed by the same guy like 7 times though.
Yeah, being too competitive can hurt you sometimes
>my score is three times the second guy on my time
>would be higher than the enemy team if not for the winning points
Can't carry in a team based game
Turns out both children and adults play the game, what a suprise.Almost as if the colorscheme and artstyle appeal to a younger audience, and the higher rank gameplay appeals to more serious players.
This shit is the best thing Nintendo has produced in years.
Honestly that's kind of why I'm glad there isn't any voice chat. I can picture myself just raging over him for doing something stupid. Which will just lead both of us to feel bad. Turf War goes by so fast anyways there's really no point of getting mad if something goes wrong.
I'm glad there's no voice chat. Honestly the Come On! and Booyah! options are good enough , but I wish there was a Go There!, but then again that might me too much. I really don't want to talk to any little kids while playing. Kinda sad that there are shitty parents out there that are oblivious to all the fucking stupid shit their kids are doing.
It's funny. Most people here hate voice chat because of random 12 year olds going "fuck you faggot" and talking about the things he did to my mom. But I feel Nintendo did the lack of voice to protect kids from hearing adults swear.
Either way the game does a great job showing everything you need without voice chat. Wonder how Spla2n is going to work.
> I've only seen adults playing.
How did you "see" them? Did you track down individual players and peered into their houses while they were playing? Or did you just assume it wasn't kids?
A good number
You can tell by how many players go past the enemy base to gun down foes rather than actually setting the rainmaker down on the base and sealing their loss
but then you start to take even Turf War seriously
and then you realize that the matches are either totally one-sided or decided by something stupid that happens in the last 30 seconds
and then you realize that Moray Towers will be bullshit forever
>mfw ten year olds expose themselves to abuse in online games nonstop now
Kinda sad, weird and funny at the same time.
Its an abstract feel.
So I guess we can say goodbye to splatfests since they said updates would stop in January.
No Octolings either, and with how poorly it sold, the wiiu being abandoned and the NX being a phone platform, the chances of spla2n are next to nil
Felt good getting her badge in the arcade
Not to mention all its marketing tie-ins.
Adding to this, it's sold 2.42 million copies and is the 5th best selling game on the console. A quarter of Wii U owners own it. For a new IP that's incredible.
>Throwing sprinklers at their own spawn
>Not knowing that the rollers can flick
>A sudden abundance of chargers
Yeah, there is definitely more kids, that or people were gone so long they forgot what to do. Not surprising since Christmas and all.
>still no clothing line based on the shit in-game
Nintendo is never going to properly utilize any IP they create, are they?
as part of the advertisement for the game they released a bunch of fake adverts for the various brands found in game, barring real world brands like amiibo and unexpected brands like IkaMusume
Can't believe I hadn't seen these until now, considering how huge the game's gotten.
Sagakeen is a recent partnership with a city in japan, known for it's squid, the ones i posted were released before the game came out, as a way to show off the brands you can buy in game
there was also some conventions and events where attendees could play the game and participate in some strange one-off activities, a yogurt team up in canada and a biweekly comic in famitsu magazine.
I seem to have forgotten the memes
>>has to ask how many kids play it
that's actually a question nintendo should ask.
personally, wii aside (popular christmas/birthday etc. gift when it was released), i've never seen actual kids owning a wiiu, just people in their late 30s and above.
12-14 year-old either have a playstation or low-end pc they use to play csgo.
maybe it's different in japan or usa.
anyway the amount of splatoon softporn and porn kinda shows the demographic playing it
>easiest game to cosplay
>no sexy non-butterface cosplays so far
I can assure you the majority of NA and Europe players are obese pedophile manchildren who whack it daily to fanart of those two squid sisters that look like clowns. The so-called "children" demographic are primarily from Japan given how gook infested the game is.
Oh, and you drones still have yet to prove or fully explain what makes the gameplay so "deep and competitive" for autists, or even how it's better than, say, Mario Kart or Smash.
