>ps3 launched at $599
>everyone laughed for years
>still sold OK
>hardly any games but a slow buildup
>eventually became the system most worth owning
>yfw history repeats itself
You know if we have another $599 success this could become a trend.
Hey after I get done with CoD 2's campaign I'm going to go pick up a WASR-2 for $300 and get 2,000 rounds of 5.45x39 for $300 more.
Who else HYPED for GOTY '06?
>599 US DOLLARS
>599 US DOLLARS
>taking half a generation to get a decent lineup is a success
And I say this as someone who loves the PS3
Oblivion is going to be the game of the decade. There's honestly nothing else that will be able to dethrone it.
>dat black hand missions
>dat immersive beginning
It's such a step up from Morrowind. I'm super hyped for their take on Van Buren if Bethesda can keep up the quality!
I thought we were pretending it's 2006, not 2016.
All the anti-PS3 rhetoric was pretty hilarious, and deserved, even though years after it came out it ended up being a pretty good console that I played tons of games on.
It was a lot like all the anti-Xbox One rhetoric that happened for the first year or so it was out.
Hey guys, future anon from 2016 here. Ask me any question about Vidya within the next 9 or 11 years and I'll probably know.
Can't wait to get more of these awesome advertisements!
>PS3 is fine because it took years for it to be worth owning
Being able to buy one now for a really cheap price and having a large amount of good games for cheap doesn't excuse how fucking joke it was for years.
Holy shit, how can you both be this wrong?
