How was the online during the beta on the PC version?

I was never around the arcade scene as a kid. Is their any point to me investing in a fightstick and learning it. Does it offer any significant advantage? 9 out of 10 people couldn't tell you what's happening in Tekken from a story-perspective. As far as anyone knows, it's just a cute fight-off.

On the other hand, everyone generally know MK is about a tournament that's about fighting to the death. MK does a much better job of conveying it's theme.
