If I could make this into an amateur video game, who would party with?
Thief, Merchant, and Pirate. Get money.
or get stolen by your thief or be the thief yourself
should have posted this version of the sheet
well I'm not really saying what is Milk Star, but it's a magical relic that the characters must find.
>you could just ignore it and adventure with anyone else
Succubus and Angel in the same party ain't the best idea. they'll try to beat one another.
I'm trying something here...
If this thread dies, I'm stopping though
I'm assuming we of conflicting backgrounds have been brought together for some greater good that would make us set aside our differences. You can still have save the day even if your ideals clash. Also the tsun would come into play and it would turn into a action/romcom halfway through.
Mystery of the Druids simulator 2016
I don't like furshit myself but I know there are people that may like that but if you're not here to contribute you can leave.
Don't forget the most important part of any quest. A good adventurer needs a good towel.
The Milk Star is a relic with extraordinarily powers but are actually unknown, lots of people seek for it, you need to gather a party to look for it.
Do you want me to draw a human face instead?
It makes games.
Or you make them?
Not sure who's in control
it won't be a cowgirl anymore
well off course not it's a fantasy setting
>already trying to get furbucks without even finishing your game
So it's a scam you're trying to pull.
At least the breeding season shit has some gameplay out already.
seriously what's the software?
then I'll remove cowgirl if that's the problem
centaur I posted her here>>322959574
Oh hey, this thread again.
I'm still lurking about.
What terrain is main left island?
I have no idea. Forest-y? What's the ground like?
Don't be afraid! :)
> stolen from the inn
> comfort 7
> absorption 9
are you fucking kidding me where are you staying, the fucking Wynn?
90% of hotel towels feel like sandpaper that aggressively repels water
Knight princess since she's cute.
Your taste is exquisite.
But who else would you *try* to save?
There is one. She is smaller than your dick.
>1 saved per run
Anon... you could get some nice ideas if you read a bit. :)
Your pain shall be everlasting. Just remember, if you ever go questing after the Princesses, you will have to explore the whole fortress and get lucky in finding them.
Yes and no. DP 3 produces a horrible toxin that has lightly filled all the towers and clouds the senses mildly, to the point you can't smell anything else. She'd need to see you first.
And you'd need to be a man.
Not too easy this.
Should the other half of the left island be different somehow?
Seemslike a shitty deacription, but a little "wilder".
Swamps, mountains, maybe a little desert in the bottom right.
Plains and villages should be added to the left part of the island assuming thats where people typically arrive to first.
Sounds just a tad boring lad
Hmm, could be swampy with some mountains
I have some assets, but I can't use many of them. I can use the standard ones that come with the editor though.
Big Right Island is too big to be just desert, it should be multiple regions.
Bottom island looks like a good place for a tropical island
And 15 seems like the obvious evil area.
I really need to finish this comic...
Right now, it looks like god lives at the end of the swamp. That should probably be changed at some point :P
If you can draw, do it. I'll save it for you.
To be honest, I have no idea what system to use.
D&D and Pathfinder are just the 2 most common, so figured why not as a basis. Then I got depressed and backburnered it.
I'll finish some day. Until then, figure out every possible combination and continue slowly amassing more potential rare loot options.
That's what its looking like.
West side of the island is calm and peaceful, eastern side is more dangerous and some king or whatever wants to conquer it and hires you to deal with the worst.
Sense of scale, lol. Standing on surface.
Can you make out where this is? :P
Right. That's it for me tonight.
I'll continue if/when I see another similar thread.

What seperates Chaotic and Neutral again? If you examine each alignment it can sort of make sense but as a whole not so much.
D&D alignments honestly are pretty bad, I think 3.5 and onwards only keeps it around as a sacred cow and because it's iconic.
I'm new to all this so I'm the worst anon to ask. I always figured the alignments went
By the book-somewhere in between-fuck everything I do it my way
so chaotic would be the far end where they don't care what happens so long as something happens, while neutral is "Well do I care if this happens? Will it fuck my day up?" if that makes sense
Well, even veteran players of D&D never fully agree because at the end of the day it's ultimately up to your GM's interpretation.
For example my interpretation is that people in most D&D settings are inherently some variation of neutral alignment because sometimes we like the law, we inevitably hate certain laws, and we're not mainly concerned with our own needs rather than what is good or evil. Most people aren't able to easily affect things outside of their lives and their outlook, beliefs, and actions more often than not reflect that.
So with this in mind I consider neutral the selfish alignment because even a lot of chaotic evil bastards are usually fighting for some kind of silly ideal.
Meanwhile, I've known GMs who decide the average person is is of the pure good or just lawful alignments and they consider selfishness to just be evil. I don't agree with that because say I only saved some kingdom because I wanted to help the princess I befriended. If I didn't help my friend she'd be dead but if it weren't for her I wouldn't have gone through the trouble, peril, and danger. That can be a selfish act but at the same time the selfish desire isn't an evil one in my opinion. Not at all selfish acts are evil, but under a certain GM self centered acts with good side effects can get you an evil label.
And yeah, no matter how you interpret it you'll find overlap very easily. Which is the main problem. Ironically simplifying the available alignments makes it less restrictive because you're not trying to justify the existence of a bunch of other alignments.
newbie here, thats pretty much how I saw it. thanks for the clarification senpai
as long as I can be a neutral sneaky sneak thief who occasionally helps out my teammates I'm happy
The girl you used to like that lived in the same village as you says this, what will you do?
Well I'm sure the succubus is like your companion or waifu but she doesn't know that. Considering what succubus do and are known for, this would be like saying you're going to commit suicide or get a bunch of STDs. At least that's how it would sound to your average peasant.
I think if you want it to stick out from similar endeavors you should try
[A] A setting change. Most of these are fantasy medieval. What about cyberpunk? (Drastic change)
[B] Plan things out a bit more before asking for suggestions. Give people something to work off. Will it be Corruptions or Champions with a bit more graphics? Will it play a bit like GURPs in the way Baldur's Gate played like D&D?
[C] A little demo in RPG Maker to get people invested. Hear me out, most of these ideas rarely go beyond concept art. This would be a good start. It would also let people know what kind of game they're really getting
[D] All of the above.
I'd like to see one of these go somewhere but you need firmer ground to stand on, especially on a fast and hectic board like /v/.
To be honest, I don't really know what I'm looking to add. I want a fantasy setting because I like that. I just don't really know how to plan ahead. I don't know how to code, I don't know how to write to make something original. I'm mediocre at drawing and at spriting, but I think it would be like a Baldur's Gate game but with RPG maker mixed into that.
Crytek engine fag you are making me want to give this shit a go, I love 3D map editors but they are usually not so intuitive and very hard to do anything with them at first.
How's this one?
Well, here's some suggestions for you. In all of these you'll have to learn at least one of these things pretty well but that shouldn't come as a surprise.
Make it Open Source. So in case you're not sure what that truly means many major programs (Windows, most games, skype) are closed source. Meaning you can't see the source code. Open source (Firefox, Chrome, Linux for example) have their source code available meaning any programmer can look through your code patch it and send their improvements to you in case you want to add that change to your program. This is great on a purely technical aspect alone but many are worried about plagiarism. However, for a small scale project like this and the right software license (you'll need to know about this anyway even if you're closed source so just do a bit of reading. Just a bit) you can prevent someone from just profiting it off it. The advantage to this in general is that you'll recruit coders from all over the world who will probably do it for free. Also /g/ will like it because open source is considered pro liberty, and they are crazy about that. They could code for you once you have something.
Next, I would look into other P&P rpgs. Maybe two more. The issue is that games based on D&D's mechanics have been done before. GURPS or World of Darkness would be good alternatives but you'll have to do some reading. GURPS would be simple to code because it's just arithmetic (which in a video game would be hidden from the player) and rolling 6 or under a skill.
Next. If you're new to art then maybe you should go the text game route so that art assets aren't the focus anyway. Writer's are easier to find than artists to help you out. Combined with open source and you'd have a very cool community project. Just don't become a Fenoxo.
Also look up some tools to help your art.
I want to give this message before a 404 might happen otherwise I'd hunt some of the them down. But there's a lot of cool things (1/2)
you can find just on the web alone. I even found something that can pick good colours for you easily with colours that complement it. I can find it again if I search for it hard enough. Those little things will make it easier for you in the beginning.
You might want to consider the Aurora Toolset for Neverwinter Nights. It's easy to use and there's even a script generator so you don't really need to learn how to code - you can plug in what you want to have happen and the program will make a script for it that you can copy and paste into the script editor.
Of course, you can't actually sell whatever you make. I skimmed the thread, but didn't see whether or not you wanted to make a profit from this or just create it for fun.
Hmm, I think that's a bit too far the other way. The lighter one was too close to pink, but this is too close to brown. I was thinking more of something in between, like pic related.
Also if you want to do more art. I would check out adobe illustrator (photoshop is okay too but if you're just drawing then stick with the program with the illustrating focus) and clip studio if you're willing to pirate. Krita is good too although it's Window's port may be so-so at the moment.
Someone in my family is in the
AAAgaming industry (all I'll say) so I went to their personal site and found the sites that they use to find tools and other stuff. Found the colour picker. I think it's the first result on Google though but I did find some useful stuff.
(list of tools, don't mind the URL)
They had more and lots of software tools too but that's more stuff you'll have to pay for and they're too obscure to reliably pirate. Most of it is for 3D stuff anyway.
What if the cow girl was this kind of cow girl and the current one is called a minotaur?
That's cute, I don't if it were possible without making her look too cluttered you could try spreading the fins out a bit like pic related.
You were falling in a trap and a arm comes to rescue you, what will it be after?
it's actually a Giant woman with thick legs that caught you just in time.
You sit on her legs and she pats your head. How will you thank her?
Feed myself to her and cuddle inside her belly as I provide sustenance to her body.
You could probably build a weak tolerance to it after farting for weeks. People who are born lactose tolerant lose it if they don't drink milk that often. They're still better off than lactose intolerants but their tolerance becomes weak and just a bit too much will send them running to the bathroom.
What's with the Pudding? Food as party member?
Pretty cute, but the lips could be a little smaller.
Try something like these. People apparently love how I do lips.
J-just don't tell anyone I was here!
Folks would get super mad if I was somewhere other than the game dev threads and didn't have any gameplay footage yet, even though it's just after christmas holiday and all that.
you guys are late, I'm sleepy and I'm about to leave for real.
