Mad Max. People on /v/ kept saying it was good, and I skeptically picked it up, expecting to get a refund after two hours. I got 35 hours out of it.

How was the first Evoland? I got it for free, and it's been sitting in my backlog. That's kind of the problem with free and heavily discounted games, it's that the impetus to play them is fairly low.

Its nothing "original" but if you like Videogames, you'll love it. its a parody of every JRPG ever, with multiple mechanics thrown around to balance and progress the game.

Honestly, It never got boring. I was at the edge of my seat the entire time. I personally loved it.

The first is cute, its really great when you start, and I l;oved it, but the second half of the game literally becomes FF7. Down to "Clink" "Kaeris" And "Xephyros" and it doesnt stop, it keeps nailing the FF7 point, which was kind of eh.

2 has way more variety and is less mario/zelda/FF and more Doubledragon/Streets of rage/Chrono trigger/Castlevania and so.

the game is basically a bunch of newgrounds flash games put together, really shitty ones, like none of them are challenging or interesting or anything, it's all generic shit just imitating snes cliches, woopie doopie doo! FUN!

This needs to stop. Flash parodies and sprite movies were done for free because they had to be, don't think for one second any of those artists would have refused payment if they could have it.

If they're expecting a payment they should be expecting criticism as well, no one complained about shitty flash games because they were free, the moment they start charging for a mediocre one you can complain expect people to question the value of their garbage.

I'm just comparing the to newgrounds level og development because that's how shallow the game is, but you can go ahead and try it out, every single one of the "mini games" are close to mario party levels of depth, only this are unpolished forgettable and have 0 creativity in them.

You can go ahead and clone streets of rage, or mortal kombat, but just because it's a parody it doesn't mean it has to be poorly developed, clunky, with garage production values just to make a long joke.

To be fair, if you didn't know the 2 was there it's pretty easy to miss from the thumbnail. It's almost exactly the same color as the sky behind it.

I got Evoland 2 a while ago, and I really enjoyed it. When it first released there were a few game crashing bugs, but the devs were very responsive to the community and was fast to correct the mistakes. I played it through twice and got all the achievements.

9/10 game for me.
