Unless Square actually addressed the issues the Japanese consumers voiced quite loudly, then no.

The two major complaints I've seen so far (based on translated amazon reviews is that)

1- no quick travel, gotta run your ass to bosses

2- they where expecting a MH clone that you can play in short bursts, but it plays more like a MMO-lite kind of game.

There should be a demo coming up hopefully, so you can see for yourself.
