why are we allowing ourselves to be so?
i knew YEARS ago it was gonna be around that price
coz some prototypes were aold at about $1.5k
They're suprised because the last dev kit was $350 and they said it would be in "the same ballpark". Also, Lucky said they were shooting for $200-$400.
Stop acting smug because you weren't paying attention.
i am not a stupid teen. i recognize tech failures faster than a billionaire tech ceo like Bill gates.
i spotted these immediatly
vr was a dead giveaway. people dont even wear 3d glasses, let alone a FUCKIN vr HELMET
They said it was going to cost one amount of money, and everyone hoped that it would cost that amount so the technology would actually get some kind of market share and be relevant, so we can have the 3D waifu simulators we always dreamed of.
Instead they made it cost some other, higher amount of money, which more or less drives another nail into the coffin of VR. Unless someone comes along with a cheaper solution pronto and completely decimates Occulus with a comparable result at a lower cost, the hype will die and the whole concept will flop.
I imagine this news ALONE has tanked a few startups chances of getting any investment, the Rift is the one product the whole industry was meant to be riding on the coat tails of, and it let us down.
>listening to mom rap
>2016 nearly 2017
>they sell their asses to facekike saying that the deal will make the end product better and cheaper
>they release the end product for a far higher price than the devkits
I wonder why?
They have actual competition now, and the rift looks very mediocre.
are you seriously gonna wear a vr helmet around your disappointed father?
at this stage a vr helmet will be his tipping point and finally cut you off the will
I own the required video card and cpu, but I don't have 3 free usb 3.0 slots. And I can't be arsed to install more for a peripheral i've never tried before and might make me seasick.
Oh yeah, I can alos use my smartphone as VR-goggles for 5 dollars in cardboard.
I held off on the cardboard because I really wanted to enjoy the proper full experience.
Oculus just killed commercial VR dead.
Time to buy one on Amazon and dick around with it for a few hours.
I like the meme music video though and hotline bling is kind of catchy
even though the video is completely manufactured and intentionally memetic for social media indoctrination
drake has a really expressive face
>"I'm not a stupid teen"
>proceeds to talk like a stupid teen
