Press turn, buff/debuff, and you're good to fight up to the last optionnal boss quite easily.

Not really, it was a walk in the park for the most part. I had to lower the difficulty in SMT IV on some boss battles though, fuck that game.

Yeah, I used buffs and debuffs against bosses while stopping after 3 of them instead of 4.
