Who else excited for FFXV? They're actually going to release it this year and the story seems fairly original.
I don't get excited for new releases, but I do enjoy the hype that surrounds them. And I'm a big FF fan, so I'll probably play it eventually. But I'll be hype about the hype. Seeing people be happy and excited for something is an enjoyable experience for me, I just hope it doesn't suck.
>but I do enjoy the hype that surrounds them.
There is almost no hype for this. Too many bitter cunts mad that this isn't the game they envisioned back in 2006. Maybe Japan is more optimistic though.
Fuck off squarepenis shill, the game will suck like all of their shit.
>story seems fairly original
>main character's hometown is attacked by evil empire and escapes with his childhood friends and seeks magical macguffin power to take it back
yeah, real original.
The latest trailers have been sort of underwhelming since the devs want to save everything for their March event. I guess that's when their marketing will kick into high gear and we'll see people talking about it positively. FF games become huge regardless.
You shouldn't trust anything XV-kun says. Sometimes he's informative, otherwise he just tries to shill for the game.
What's funny is that when people complained that Luna is Mary Sue he suddenly backed down and said Stella was the original Mary Sue even though he earlier had claimed that Stella was too weak and had to be replaced.
I havnt been excited for a Final Fantasy since 9. After trying 12 and 13, my ass is real red.... never even bothered to finish 13 it was so fucking bad.
Thats what happens when squaresoft merged with a failure of a company like Enix.
I know what you mean. The trailers gave off a certain mood that really chilled you. But given what development hell they've been through, I think most of it was just in concept phase and not really representative of the game being made.
We don't have nearly enough footage. Right now it's in that specific "Could be good, I guess" territory that doesn't really get me hype.
I mean, I welcome their decision to have real time combat and an open world which are the reasons why it might be the first FF I'm actually gonna be but otherwise we don't really know much.
Does the world feel alive? Is the quest design gonna be interesting? Are the locations going to be varied an fun to explore?
No idea. So... you know, could be good, I guess.
No, as a matter of fact. My first console was a N64, which didn't have any, then I had a GameCube, which only had some spinoff title, if I remember correctly and when I got my PS3 I never bothered with 13 because it was generally agreed to be pretty bad.
Should I emulate some of them? I generally tend to lack the patience for games with turn based combat. Only ones I ever really enjoyed were the Paper Mario games.
Looks like April O'neil.
FFX tends to be the ideal starting FF game. You can always emulate it and see if you like it. The music and atmosphere is as good as it gets although some dialouge can feel a bit forced. The combat is turn-based but generally agreed that it's a really good version of turn-based combat.
Nobody can know for sure. It has made people less willing to talk about the game, even those that look forward to it. Every thread is a ticking time bomb. The months leading up to release are going to be brutal. Both for /v/ and for him.
The demo does the opposite for me.
>You guys don't actually have your personal opinions affected by /v/, do you?
Actually yes, FFXV-kun managed to convince me to be more wary of this title.
This homeo and hamlet hybrid?
ya mayb still...
