Perks are a great addition to Wasteland 2, but consider that right off the bat you have 4 characters that you give special traits at the beginning of the game. Each character gains additional perks every 4 levels, you can have up to 7(SEVEN) people in your party level up that way which makes the game incredibly easy. Basically your characters become very OP. I've breezed through the game later on and had no problems with encounters I've found challenging before and struggled against in the regular version of the game.

Matthias was a pretty good villain. I liked how he taunted you back in Hollywood or outside his citadel. Just wish the ending didn't turn out the way it did, but I guess it was a pretty neat callback to people who played the first game.

They actually removed the "hard" bits from the game, including snipers and grenade throwers.

Also the new perks break it completely.

They only thing they upped was making hacking the giant robots impossible, but with the new perks I didn't die once to them anyway.

Is it just me, or is Los Angeles a HUGE difficulty spike?
I was steamrolling all of AZ, but now that I'm in LA my weapons don't do jack shit against all the robot and cyborg enemies, and even the raider squads, while ma manageable, still feel way fucking tougher.
I'm assuming that I either levelled my characters a bit gimpy and have to ride that out now, or it'll get better as I gear up.

There is exactly one fight that's challenging, and that's the farm ambush. Unless you're carrying rpgs like you should.

Anyway, now that this doesn't seem to be true I wonder if being able to type out the words yourself unlocked anything or had any actual use in the game.

the type words system is a huge wasted potential, 100% feedback is just "huh" or "already discussed" (while it's not).
they did something like if you type "ranger" your character says "what do you think about desert rangers", but most times there's no feedback for it.
