Kojima and a few key people of ex-Kojima Productions are developing a new engine in collaboration with SCE Santa Monica Studios
The new engine is exclusive(I think, it's obvious) for Playstation 4 and PSVR usage
PS Vita and PS3 were not mentioned
There are five project games for it
Just one of them have a name: 75 years ago
(I believe this is Mr. Kojima's new game)
I know this because Bend Studio knows this
What a fucking jew.
He wasted years of Konami's time and money developing FOX. I bet he's just going to take everything he knows about it and apply it to his own engine.
Konami are jews too, but I don't support this at all.
Also, Kojima is fucking worthless without MGS, nobody cares about policenauts or snatcher
>PC is an afterthought dude, it could be years after the console release
Who cares, I don't mind waiting to have a good experience. Unless Kojima Game runs at a flawless 60fps on console and doesn't include any aiming which will obviously be superior with a mouse, then I'll get it for console. Otherwise all I'll be getting is Nier Automata and my PS4 will just collect dust like usual. I think I might return this piece of shit and just buy one when it's $200 and actually has games.
>Who cares, I don't mind waiting to have a good experience.
Don't you get it, it doesn't matter what you think, it's still an afterthought. Your opinion is irrelevant, as is mine.
>Unless Kojima Game runs at a flawless 60fps on console
Considering the precedent set for TPP on PS4 there is no reason to believe it won't. Take your platform war catalyst elsewhere
It's not an afterthought, it is just a normal thought, as it's already been announced for PC. Note: there is no release date for EITHER version. I know platform shitposting is the norm here on /v/, but that doesn't mean you have to engage in it. You can communicate without memes.
>Take your platform war catalyst elsewhere
Says the guy that literally made a console war thread.
One more thing
I don't want to shit talk but Sony is financing Kojima with millions for opening his new studio(in LA) and for the rights of the new engine
I don't the terms of the contract but this is big, there's no way(in response to >>322861734) that it will be on PC too or other console
I can answer one more question without getting fired tomorrow lol
The guy on the bed, dummy, he just took it from the side.
>post yfw Z.O.E spiritual successor is announced at E3 2016
They're developing with Unreal Engine 4.
>mfw when I've kikd this girl
>PC is an afterthought dude
Vidya developer here, it's time this myth ends.
Most of development, early concepts and testing of an engine happens exclusively on PC, because it's way more practical.
Engines at their core are pretty much platform independant, because it's just code that, if properly developed, should compile and run on any platform. Any decent developer makes a PC engine first and then customizes it for a console. What is used to customize and attach it to a specific platform is, most of the time, and more and more as time passes, third-party libraries and frameworks that are multiplatform themselves.
All in all, it means every engine out there has at least an embryo of a PC version, along with a set of already-multiplatform libs. Making a working PC version of a game is a trivial task, just as porting it to another console, and then ironing the couple few remaining differences is something any decent team of devs can do in a couple months.
The overall technical cost of porting a game to another platform is ridiculously low. Sales, QA, marketing, management, risk assessment and company vision are usually what make it fail.
f its so easy, how comes arkham knight port, which runs on unreal engine 3, was literal shit?
and im not talking about framerate, which was 50-70 on my 980 at lauch, but checking the frametime it was really inconsistent and stuttering was all over the place, giving me more headaches than 33.3 ms
I hope to god that what ever he makes is also on PC.
I've never been a big PC player but you know what? If MGS4 was on PC I could still play it as much as I want and not have to hope that a petition actually works or get a jailbroken ps3 to play with the 21 other die hard fans.
That being said MGO3 sucks ass.
Regardless, that shit team got it running. Yes, it was shit, but just see how easy it was to have something running. All that remained was cleaning the bugs, but they didn't even took that care.
that guy probably forgot about platform architecture , amd procs on consoles is not the x86 amd proc on PCs.
Their resource management is different than how PC manages it, in order to do a proper port devs need to expand their coverage of hardware compatibility across different levels of cpu/gpu/ram configs.
It is easy and stable IF the company made it with PC in mind for later release if console sales proved more than fruitful.
It is NOT easy if consoles was the main sales point and there is totally no plans for PC ports.
>nobody cares about policenauts or snatcher
What are you, a savage? Speak for yourself.
