Hey, last night we had a good thread, let's keep it up.
Just finished Scholars and all the DLC, Vendrick's Blessing and all. They didnt save the whole game but man, Ivory King was fantastic. Best part of the game by miles. Made me really pumped for 3.
Meanwhile I guess I'll replay Dark 1 with a STR/FAI build because I always played DEX.
What was your favourite DLC from 2? What's your favourite part of the series overall?
I'm yet to start the DLCs for DS2. Are they really worth it?
I find it kinda funny how I had more fun playing DS2 than DS1. I think it's because losing in a fight makes me less mad than the environment killing me.
I didnt like Sunken King at all, but Iron King was OK apart from some boss-runs. Blue Smelter and Alonne were harder because of the shit you had to deal with in the way to them than by themselves.
But Ivory is fantastic, I fully recommend it.
So I bought SotFS during the winter sale.
Why does this game hate me so much? I had to start over so I could properly farm the giant armors before the white ranger shitters started pushing me asshole in.
>can't get any pvp action at all ANYWHERE
i get at most one invasion per area per day
what the fucking FUCK
I can't wait until they give this armor set the "Manikin treatment" and give no reason even in post-release or guide interviews.
Design wise, Brume tower was my favourite part of DaS2 DLC.
Although I think the Ivory King ramparts were actually my favourite design wise.
Also, Raime/Alonne were god-tier boss fights, easily the best in classic Souls formula.
who /network test/ here?
what did you enjoy? what didn't you enjoy as much?
I wasnt fond of the piss filter over everything, compared to the much more colorful screenshots from the leaks. some people say it might have Bloodborne's time of day changes, but I hope not, that was awful, it made everything look the same by draping it all in the same exact lighting.
also im not entirely sold on having to manage TWO estus flasks, although i like having a mana bar now, and it made more sense to have one mana bar for all special actions, rather than balancing spell charges AND Sword Arts charges.
Because her rear is too powerful to be contained.
I am so happy PS3 is as active as it is, I normally invade Anor Londo but theres still a surprising amount of low level action in the Depths. Wish I had my PS3 with me so I could play. Every time I play still I find myself saying out loud "People STILL play this?"
My hard drive formatted itself a few months ago so I played unpatched 1.00 Dark Souls and got to dick around and relive my memories of playing the game for the very first time, had a few laughs before I felt like going online and updated the game. Anybody else done this by accident or purposely?
This guy just released his final piece about Dark Souls 2 https://youtu.be/9rrs9bdrwO4
Someone posted him in one of the older threads and even if I don't agree with stuff, it's interesting. He made a lot of videos on DS1 and 2, kind of like in response to Matthewmatosis, where he critiques 1 and defends 2.
As I said, I don't agree with him in various points and he gets weirdly personal while trying to give objective criticism, but it's OK. Just popped on my YouTube and since I saw this thread I thought I should show you guys.
The double estus flask isn't really going to make you manage your heals THAT differently, how many different healing items did you end up using in DaS2? Estus flask and five or more lifegems at a time. And DeS had a bunch of different grasses.
>get through painted world
>thinking she's gonna be some badass boss fight
>she just wants to be left alone
>cant bring myself to kill her
ah well, i'll murder her next run i guess
