Noctilum's theme is so good it's the "intro" to Mira
I feel foolish, I saved up all this money for 2 chapters to buy Amdusias, but I can't pilot him for 6 more levels
well, at least it's free, but holy shit this thing drives like the wheels are coated in butter
So for DLC skells I need to do all of the Affinity Missions of the DLC chars right? So that's HB, Alexa, and who are the other two?
Also I find it hilarious that eventually your other teammates get to acquire licenses off screen. I am laughing at L trying to do one.
>Not doing Alexa's affinity quest and getting a free level 60 frame
>a character in an RPG who always gets lost that you have to find them, leading to a series of "find me" side quest chains that eventually leads to a reward/recruitment
I swear I've seen this thing a lot in JRPGs but I can't put my finger to which games.
I almost have 4 hearts with her, is the frame any good? I mean, sure its a 60 but you never know.
Also should I just spec this bastard in Thermal weapons in order to scorch the earth? The fucking Thermal attributes on the armor is disgusting.
It's level 60, but it's actual strength is just barely above the 50 amdusias
One cool thing though is that since the parts to make it are so easy to obtain, it's really efficient to craft one and sell it if you need credits fast.
Best way to grind for a level 50 Amudusais? Have about 1.1 Mil and about to start chapter 11 after I grind the out affinities for Nagi and Gwin. Would it be better to wait it out and make a DLC Skell, though I'd have to grind another 15 levels.
>done with chapter 7
>do Hope's Affinity Quest
>then Silent Purification Plants
Things sure took a dark turn
Human traffic and now parasites bursting out of your chest if you even touch water
the Level 30 Skell aint that bad!
>tfw gave my shit starter one to Lin
There isn't any. You can set up probes to where you get 150k from the FN every 30 minutes, but that would take 6+ hours.
Beat the game. There's a support mission that gives you 300k and only takes like 2 minutes to beat, then you can worry about your L50 skells.
The last part of the last boss is a forced ground combat fight anyways, so make sure you're not relying on skells
im level 34 heading into Chapter 9... am I overleveled?
>second half of Wir Fliegen doesn't play when you activate OD on Hobos
>nor when you get to max gauge on regular OD
Waste of a perfectly good song.
Speaking of which, I still haven't heard LP, LPArr or RearrX in this game.
And they'd fit so well with some cutscenes.
I'm getting bored of this game and I'm less than 10 hours in
Any tips to enjoy it? I've got a shitload of gathering missions to do but the description is basically "LOOK FOR 5 X IN X CONTINENT"
Not really helpful and I could trek through half the fucking continent and not find a single item I need for my quests.
Should I just continue through the store? I'm level 20 and starting chapter 4.
Well, if you really haven't liked exploring so far, or haven't enjoyed the quests that are not merely gathering quests you get on that terminal, then I honestly have no idea.
Most of the fun i've gotten out of this game was from trekking and placing probes or finding treasures in places I ususally would be unable to.
And I also enjoy the combat.
That's not https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09V_smYz82A
No. The boss is actually kind of challenging and you can't use your skell
for the first half
>tfw constantly refreshing the Mission screen in the BLADE commons and racking up dosh/clothes
>tfw just found one of those useless fucking status shoulder weapons with nothing but Gravity res down shit all over it
Is there a limit to how much you can fuck the gravity res on something? Because combod with a decent G2Buster that could be some serious shit.
I'm in for some fun, aren't I
Some people in threads over the last few days have been arguing over whether Mims can reproduce or not. Here's your answer.
Man I'm having such a hard time getting into big games with tons of menus these days.
I know that I will enjoy it when I get past the exposition and work my way into it, but the start is rough on me.
>Go to Oblivia for the first time to plant a probe
>Even the fucking weather starts killing me
I had a full team of Level 30 Skells (but no Flight) and all the bridges are gone on my save. You have to be overleveled to kill it fast enough.
And yes Atreides just jumps over nothing and it's shit.
I looked up a video and you can see the bridges break: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6xirgus4Lw
>tfw leaving primordia for the first time
Spores are fun as fuck though, not sure what you're on.
Driving your Skell full speed in the rocky areas during spores is an experience. You lose all sense of time and space pretty quickly.
Better yet, drive off the top of a mountain. By the time you land you'll think you're in a deep sea abyss.
>(but no Flight)
Found your problem. I had a full team of L30 skells with flight (able to use melee and focus on appendages), all had g-busters, and I only focused on attacking the boss. Killed it in 2 minutes or less.
Just checked and my sylvalum still has bridges.
>mfw the very first time I went to Sylvalum the weather was spore storm
I was so confused
Same here, I had flight packs and had no trouble at all. I had 4 skells and I didn't lose any during the fight
I honestly didn't realize it spawned that many enemies until watching this video since i just flew up towards the robot part of it and attacked from there
Does this character even need to be in tis game? I hope the next game cuts out filler characters. Alexa is just "I love Skells" & that's it; that's her whole defining trait. We already have Lin who really loves Skells. I don't understand why they made so many filler characters & thought it was a good idea.
Monolith should never had done a U-turn halfway through the games development. It hurt the game more than it benefited it.
Shes not great. Also her VA makes me crie. She sounds like a boy & the way she speaks I can imagine her raising one eyebrow like in Pixar animation way. Makes me cringe.
Finally got my first robutt, and I have no idea what equipment to buy for it
I really wish this game had the feature from the original were you could check what an equipment's or gem's ability does by pressing +
They didn't start over dumbo, they just changed story direction. Most of the assets could obviously still be used. It explains why some random things seem way overdesigned for their role in the game though, like Celica and Rock.
>what equipment to buy
Kill stuff and get their drops, it's going to be better than anything you can buy. Well get a G-Buster first though.
Yama the obliviator has some good 40 stuff that you can put on a 30 frame.
Alexa is fucking great, you just have shit tastes.
Is there anything I can do to help with Verus' fuel issues for using G-Buster? It seems like statistically it's the most fuel efficient weapon I got but it just tears through my fuel still.
Exploring, completing side quests. I'm at the chapter 5 mission but want to work on optional stuff first. I'm having a blast just roaming unexplored areas and snaking my way past enemies well above my level.
Just cleared the main story so now I'm working on doing all the affinity missions to unlock all the arts and skell frames and whatnot. Eventually I'll start grinding out the elements to craft an Ares but I don't feel like it so I'd rather just do quests and tackle that once I have nothing else left to do.
Murderess' last affinity mission
Its one of those "run around the entire district looking for yellow smileys, oh and btw they only appear during certain times of day ;)"
Fuck these, at least its the last one that does this i think
kek, yesterday i went to that beach in cauldros that has all those level 8-9 ganglion and killed them all by drifting and driving over them. Even got the characters' post battle dialogue after killing them all. Funny shit
Yeah, you really shouldn't tackle that quest until you have a couple level 50 skells at least, I got absolutely demolished when I first went there. Just go fly to the probe site at the other end of the camp for easy travel there next time and come back again.
What could have been the main antagonist
I feel ya.
>90 hours in
>still at chapter 9
>want to finish everey normal and affinity mission available first
>want to get my MC at lvl 50 so I can wreck the rest of the story missions with my lvl 50 skell
How would /v/ react if they made a third Xenoblade but the twist is:
you're a Nopon. __________ ______?
it's not the mission that scared me, i did it no problem
it's these things
>It's a mission that asks you to fight an enemy near the White Phosphor Lake
I'm only like 18 hours into the game. So no Skells for a while for me.
I just stumbled into the Weeping Whitewood looking for a drop. Shit was 2spooky having a level 20 crew. There are so many cool looking areas. They fucking nailed the art direction in this game.
>L's final affinity quest has you fighting against FUCKING TELETHIA THE ENDBRINGER
for all of 30 seconds
>tfw there was fog the first time I went to the Weeping Whitewood
Got past a fair few spiders but did a 360 and ran the fuck away once the big daddy popped into view. Shit was way above my pay grade and scared the hell outta me.
>doing Mia's affinity quest
>Nopon says other nopon got carried off by a bird
>alright whatever, figure its a Jacul or some asshole
>its one of those fucking dragon worms that chills on Talon Rock
>later on get an info bubble for the Cauldros volcano tyrant that hangs in the smoke
>the fucking Blade guy calls it a bird too
In what fucking universe are these fuckers birds. The Nopon I can at least understand because they're assholes that cant name anything right, but the fucking human saw a giant death snake and the first species that came to his mind was 'bird'. Why is everyone on this planet an idiot except for me?
Doesn't seem that hard, just cull the mob as much as possible from outside the turret's range and then face it mano-a-mano, or bumrush the turret with your strongest attacks and bail out once it's down.
It triggers the rest of the ones up to 97. Then 98 appears only after finishing a certain mission from what I heard. (Definian Downfall). No need to worry about 99th.
I agree that part was bullshit though.
>tfw you're accustomed to linear game.
>tfw you don't know what to do besides explorate and try to find new miranium. That feels when half the time you get killed by the beast.
>I looked up a video and you can see the bridges break: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6xirgus4Lw
any chance you can link the time in that video that it happens since for whatever reason i quite cant see it my self
I just got my Ares 90 and it's oddly fun. I enjoy being grossly overpowered, especially after all the shit I went through to get it. I'm not sure how long it'll feel fun, but as of now I'm enjoying myself. One shotting those milesaurs feels good. I wasn't even able to bruise them with my level 50 skells.
It doesn't even have a gag ending. If, like, the Orphean kept denying his findings on the visigiel corpses in increasingly over the top ways before ultimately coming with you to check on them right after you kill them before compensating you for the extra work it might've been good for a laugh. As it is it's just tedious.
Man like halfway into that I just said fuck it and went hiking since I hadnt explored much of the eastern area at that time. I Solid Sneaked into the Ganglion base until some tyrant Zig wasted my ass. Shit was way more fun than culling fodder.
It's piss easy to just hike through the entire world by putting Aural/Visual Cloaking XX on a helmet socket while leveling and just go nuts.
The best version of Visual, i had to literally stand in front of Barnabas for him to notice at level 10.
Kek, which one of you fags is this?
Stabbing monsters in the face with giant mech spears is comfy as fuck imo.
