>26,340 units sold
>but it's just a literally who store they said
>but it's a bad source they said
Are you ready to admit #FE bombed?
What's the video suppose to show?
The fuck is that youtube video? Is it literally flying with the power of song or some stupid bullshit? That looks incredibly stupid. How you mix Fire Emblem with SMT, and get idols doing insert songs like it's some kind of musical or something, is very baffling.
You have no idea how happy this makes me
Is it happening? Is this finally the end of waifu culture? I hope so
At least post something relevant to weebshit.
It's pretty fucking weird that a P4 dancing game spinoff paints a more accurate depiction of the idol industry than this
Persona 5 is going to sell gangbusters for an animu game like it has done since P3, so very doubtful. The only thing this is going to prove is awkward idol themed games are a niche among niche genres, doubly so if you alienate fans of the two series you teased as collaborating.
This shit is Nintendo's DmC, a game that perhaps could have done better if it wasn't named after an established series that has a very set in stone style and form.
People said the songs were going to be dubbed, right?
Maybe it's just better if this is never localized. At one point, I was hyped for this game, god I miss those ignorant bygone days.
No. I just think the Nintendo fanbase in Japan is more based than say the cancerous Sony fanbase that buys anime shovelware in droves. The Nintendo fanbase pretty much told Atlus to fuck themselves with this waifu crap.
That's why Waifu Emblem sold gangbusters.
Fuck off toddler.
I really want to know how such a game came about. It feels so very un-Atlus, even in its aesthetics.
you both know goddamn well that this game would have sold like crack if it had romance options
>end of waifu culture
>fe fates selling by the truck loads
Reeks of shallow cash grab. Some very myopic people getting together to figure out what is cool and hip right now, seeing how huge idols were in Japan at the time, and running with that. Fire Emblem fans are nonplussed, SMT fans are unimpressed, and big surprise to no one intelligent, the idol tsunami rolled over eventually. Sure they're still popular as hell, but not as much as two or three years ago.
Plus this game has absolutely no fucking chance in America, where we care even less for idols, or the Wii U. Just bad decisions from the very foundation here.
That's why the majority of Atlus games are on Nintendo platforms.
Are you kidding me, awakening saved the series in terms of sales and one of it's biggest selling points is the waifu mechanics.
Hell #FE doesn't even let u waifu the girls because lol idol culture. The only truth we can get from all this is idolshit is bad and they didn't properly use brand recognition.
Not necessarily. Idol okaku are different than your regular old garden variety anime/game otaku. They despise romance. A game for that audience that happens to have an idol character can have romance as long as it is with the MC, but a game aimed directly at the Idol audience can't even have implications.
But you cannot deny the amount of waifu pandering it has.
>people are catching on with the censorship
>after people discovered the Fatal Frame censorfest, some avoided SMT and FE just to spite Nintendo
>with Wii U about to die, why buy games for it?
>Nintendrones are migrating to less kiddie/moralfag platforms like PS4 and PC
>this is the future Nintendo chose
THE REASON THIS GAME FAILED IS;
YOU CANT ROMANCE WAIFUS
THE ONLY REASON
No. Omega Quintet will sell more.
Omega Quintet designated it's audience from the start, there's no confusion on who they want to appeal to with this game.
AtlusxFE is a mash up with high expectations from the announcement but a crippling reveal to both fans. FE fans already have FE Fates for waifus and I'm sure SMT fans don't want none of this shit that's happening in the game.
Not even Barry could save this game
god help the western release
>This was the last Wii U title I was looking forward to
>god help the western release
I wonder if Treehouse would try turning it into a Ghost Stories style farce. Would anyone actually care?
Then again, maybe the game would be funnier if everyone played it as straight as possible.
>keep in mind that the game released on the 26th of December, which is the last day on the Media Create tracker, so we’ll likely see higher numbers in this week’s software ranking and sales
At the very least they pointed it out. Unlike almost every other site flaunting sales.
Why are they singing? Why why why why why
who was this game made for, the director and the producer? i need to know how the initial pitch for this game was told.
>There are people who unironically like Barry
Is it already time for this thread again?
>looking forward to the butchered localization
>looking forward to #FE in general
>there are people who unironically like the trashiest paladin
>...sales figures from the week of December 21st through 26th.
>Literally only counts the sales from the day it released
Anon a different console wouldn't have changed anything, hell you'd probably alienating even more customers.
I guess you could grab the persona fanbase, but the game doesn't even have dating sim elements so wh would they buy it.
I'm still amazed at this outcome.
Let's be real here, if this was any other case, this shit would have sold millions!
>Persona-esque games from ATLUS ALWAYS sell more than any serious SMT these days.
>We live in a era where Dancing All Night exists
>Japan fucking love their idol shit.
I understand a lot of people think it's "People were stille xpecting a SMT crossover" but I repeat, DANCING ALL NIGHT EXISTS. This is the kind of stuff ATLUS does now and it's what gives them a fuck ton of money.
This shit is truly a really really case.
>with Wii U about to die, why buy games for it?
This is the problem I'm having right now. Nintendo releasing another console this year has prevented me from spending another dime on my wii u. Not to say I'll get an NX, though.
Sick of feeling like their shit is outdated a scant couple years after release. Especially with the handhelds. Now it sounds like they're making both the Wii U and N3DS obsolete with one fell strike.
>Is this finally the end of waifu culture
Lol no. It just seems the Idolmaster audience isn't the same as the SMT audience. Persona 5 will be full of waifu stuff and might even break a million sales.
Hell, I bet mainline would get more sales if you got to date any of the girls.
I'd be fine with this as long as I still had to murder every romance option who wasn't your alignment.
>The total sales figure for the game is surely on the lower end of things by Nintendo and Atlus’ standards, but keep in mind that the game released on the 26th of December, which is the last day on the Media Create tracker, so we’ll likely see higher numbers in this week’s software ranking and sales.
So you fags are jumping the gun again?
>So you fags are jumping the gun again?
Of course they are, how are they supposed to shitpost if there's nothing for them to shitpost about?
>THE ONLY REASON
They also censored zipper panties.
That's two reasons, anon.
They censored the best girl before the game even came out in its native region.
>implying that isn't exactly what it's trying to be
that's why it's going to bomb in america. can't even pander to waifufags because of the no romance options either, and you can thank shitty idol culture for that
idolshit was a mistake and so was this game
She's a very respectable choice. I have my soft spot for punk rock girls, but spunky ones are good too, and I won't argue against you for liking Eleonora. Tsubasafags are the problem.
>"but keep in mind that the game released on the 26th of December, which is the last day on the Media Create tracker, so we’ll likely see higher numbers in the weeks software sales and ranking"
Considering the game is already niche in that it asked for gaming experience with two different JRPG franchises on top of being otaku-targeted idolshit, the people who would buy this game are type who notice details, obsess over them, and loathe changes, especially when those changes are to their waifus. This outfit was also shown off in a lot of advertising material, then silently altered, which would outrage waifu-loving otaku, the primary audience of an idol game. After all, what are idols if not waifus? On top of this, while I don't have the infographic saved, if I remember right Kiria was the most popular character by far, so the backlash to an outfit change for her is entirely possible.
>game using first party nintendo assets
Also these current sales numbers only track the physical retail release, and not the collector's edition or digital sales. Those sales would have to have completely bomb, and I think the collector's edition straight up sold out, so it probably did alright.
I think it's more due to SMTfags being buttblasted about this game. And rightfully so.
I honestly don't know who their target audience is here. They really went overboard with all the idolshit.
They changed the zipper pantsu because they(don't know who) wanted cero b as a last minute change. It's why all the blood splotches on the ground are now an ambiguous color or why the female back ground dancers are shit quality, even worse quality than the the solid color background people. They most likely wanted to make it cero c like the idol games and the smt series, which could have more lewd and more adultish themes, but someone said no.
>It's why all the blood splotches on the ground are now an ambiguous color or why the female back ground dancers are shit quality
Wait, did they actually change something else that nobody was talking about or did you pull this out of your ass? If that shit actually was changed then it just makes the censorshipfags agenda even more transparent lmao
although Kiria's new outfit does look fucking awful with that unbroken black, it needed at least her midriff to remain uncovered to be a solid design
Yes, thank god. Shit games like these shouldn't be encouraged. Fuck, I like purse owner just as much as the next weeb but this shit is too much and NOT what Fire Emblem needs right now.
>it's got legs! You'll see!
Yeah point to me where a game in Japan suddenly got higher numbers all of a sudden.
They are too busy playing the fuck out of Splatoon and Monster Hunster X to give a shit about this shit.
From what I've seen the gameplay is better than the average Atlus rpg and the story is far better than the pure garbage that is FE Fates and Persona 3/4.
