Is there a way to have a new Max Payne without having to retcon or rewrite MP3?
i just want more of dat orgasmic gameplay
GTA used the same, or rather, modified engine of MP3 right? Rockstar has proven competent enough to make a great Third person shooter.
Wasn't Passos a bodyguard? Him claiming to work for the NYPD during Max'
do you put an " 's" after X?early days never really sounded convincing to me, then again, it's been long since I've played the game
I know it is really edgy but more gore and dismemberment would be pretty good in slow motion
And that is due to the fact that it's open world
Max payne works well because fighting takes place in cordiors or small spaces, Open world would just make it completely bland and boring, like GTA V
>able to briefly wall run
>office levels with pushcarts to dive onto like that one section in mp3
>sliding, kicking off walls
>heavy physics fast rope/rapelling segments where you jump into windows
>have complete control of aiming and shooting when doing any of this
His story was done in 2. He got over losing his family.
Then in 3 he's a fucked up guy dragged into some shit. No reason he couldn't be a fucked up guy dragged into some shit in a 4th game.
>take max payne 3, add the martial arts mod from max payne 1, you have weapons that can fire and can be used in melee like pic related, gore and dismemberment to a whole new level (like killing floor 2)
Red Dead Revolver sold like shit too but Redemption still happened
besides the biggest reason it sold like shit was because R* anounced GTA 5 not too long after it and stole all the hype
>rockstar makes a new ip
>western/feudal japan setting
>pre revengeance cutting mechanics
I would buy it
So basicly Rockstar makes a new Red Steel
>Rockstar games presents
>From the world of Max Payne
>entire mirrors the events of MP1 and 2
>Soundtrack like GTA 4 but with max payne influence
make new story with an ex prosecutor as mc
DESU I feel like they should have done this with MP3 in the first place
>spiritual successor to Max Payne
>keep the same game mechanics and neo-noir feel
>make it an entirely new IP to avoid making the MP story ridiculous
Even if they made MP4 now, Max was already old and slowing down in MP3, and the ending implies that he's finally moved on and is done leading the life he's lead. It wouldn't make sense to bring him back now
You can play Quantum Break
>it uses the same RAGE engine, bullet physics and has slow motion mechanics
Try again man, they deliberately did not want you to jump around like Max Payne, it's an open world game which means you actually engage in opponents who are more than 30m away from you
i wish they would re-release it without all the fucking cutscenes. every time i try and replay it i stop after a few levels because the cutscenes are just too damn intrusive. it's a shame because the gameplay really is fantastic.
