I love Ape Escape but a sequel wouldn't perform well today. Everyone is looking for gritty, edgy, dark shit, so AE4 wouldn't get a lot of sales. Same with a Parappa sequel.

Ape Escape can work, and could probably outperform Mario games given the Wii U only selling 1 unit for every 3 PS4s.

The obvious answer is that SCE is returning from their winter break, no that they're starting development on a new Ape Escape game on January 5th.

The last Ape Escape game (Big Mission) was legit, SCE last platform (Puppeteer) was also pretty good. SCE isn't exactly developers know for dropping quality, so I don't see how this could be anything but another game in the same level as the previous titles.

Third party games generally don't sell at all on nintendo main consoles. nintendrones only buy first party games.
