>there are people who unironically believe this is not the greatest game ever made

On a scale of 1 to 10, how embarrassed would you be to stand close to such a person?

It's mediocre in the majority of respects, though
Its strongest point is music followed by story, two of the least important aspects when making a game

10 seconds before I add you to the list of NSF casualties
>>
>>322721054
If you cram enough mediocrity into a product in a broad enough number of areas you sometimes end up with somthing brilliant.
Of course sometimes you end up with Watch Dogs so it's hardly a foolproof plan.

0/10

I dont like FPS or futuristic settings.
So its a 0/10 for me
>>

Not as embarrased as I would be if I made this thread.

1. It is the greatest game ever made but if I was embarrassed to be around people with bad taste I wouldn't have a girlfriend.

I'll never get over how stylistically dated it is. I mean, trenchcoat with sunglasses, for real?

I wouldn't be embarassed because, honestly, it's 2016. Deus Ex was launched 16 years ago, and has been nearly forgotten by history. In fact, if Deus Ex was not continuing in the form of Human Revolution and Mankind Divided, I feel that the series would become nothing more than a footnote in a legacy of great games.

Don't get me wrong, Deus Ex is my favorite game of all time, but outside of gaming enthusiasts such as /v/, people don't know that this game exists. The same applies for the original thief series, or Unreal, or Quake, Blood, Hexen, anything like that. A normie knows Call of Duty and Madden, and a basic entry level gamer knows Skyrim and Halo.

Deus Ex is gone.
>>
Still yet to re-play with revision. Any opinions on it?

Gaming is for casuals
>>
system shock 2 may be better, though, OP.

>>322724263
human revolution was the most disappointing 8/10 i've ever played. i'm going to ignore invisible war and call HR the sequel. i don't understand how you can go from the original deus ex to... that. it should have been a completely different series. the plot is nothing alike.
>>
>>322724469
It sucks, but go ahead and poke around in different gaming communities. You'll be lucky if they even remember Human Revolution.
>>
>>322724129
Kill yourself I just put 12 hours into it last week again.
And you are right OP, it is the best game ever made. I don't care about what others like though.

Wow, congrats, you, a gaming enthusiast, beat the game.

Why don't you learn some reading comprehension before you shoot yourself, you dumbfuck.

Yeah the way they're going with it it seems more like an unnecessary constraint to tie it to DX1 anyway. I predict the end of MD will be founding UNATCO and another inconsequential Bobby Page cameo.

>deus ex is the greatest game ever made
Do you have a single fact to back that up?
>>
/v/ talked me into buying this game so /v/ better fix my issue with it
game is fucking DARK and the brightness option doesnt do shit. only option is to use software renderer then change the brightness but that actually messes with my global monitor brightness until i restart my PC and then its all back to default what the fuck. game is TOO DARK to stealth around
