>using the FAMAS
>not using t7.62mm FN FAL with standard ironsights and no frilly attachments
I hear you, I really want the M1 like guns to have a comeback. Valve can design guns like that, remember Day of defeat source? That game was so fucking good, why is it dead
The worst guns of all are the ones that killed their creators while making them>>322693606
Purposely made to be pretty shit since it's cheap to manufacture and meant to be used for insurgent forces and stuff. You were supposed to go to a enemy with this gun and kill him and take HIS shit.
Optics are for nerds. They snag on clothes or straps, you gotta keep em clean, need batteries if it's powered, they can be thrown off zero or broken. Any man should be able to hit a man sized target at several hundred yards with irons and you're generally not gonna be engaging at farther distances.
Optics are high drag low speed.
Here's a harder one: tell me even one game where F2000 isn't an uncontrollable piece of shit.
Nambu 94, easily
>weak as balls cartridge
>ugly as sin
>so poorly made that squeezing the side of the gun or shaking it excessively will cause it to fire. AKA common things in combat
Open irons. I'm a purist. I have an EOTech on my tavor, and an aimpoint on a cx4, but i generally prefer irons.
But if I absolutely have to chose a rifle with an optic, it's gotta be a bolt action 30 cal with a scout scope, like 2-5x, mounted on picatinny with backup irons.
