I never played Duke sidescrollers or Duke 3D when they came out and I just recently played DNF. It sucks. It reminds me of mediocre licensed games, filled with chore levels rather than fun and a shitty gimmick of "everything is interactable" that has been obsolete since as far as I can tell, 2000.
I remember these games getting praised back and forth for being "so great". But what makes them great?? They're shit and always have been.
>Never played Duke 3D
What right do you fucking have to say anything on the subject of Duke Nukem when you have no knowledge of what one of the seminal FPS actually fucking is?
DNF is a mediocre hodgepodge for alot of elements but fuck you hard.

No point seriously replying to threads like these, OP is 13 and grew up with bullshit like Minecraft and Pewdiepie.

Stop getting so mad and start reading.
Its obvious that the fucker never played it in any case.
Duke 3D stands alongside irrefutable classics like Doom and has more content and interactivity than you find in most games today.
It's 2016 and we barely get any games with as many mirrors, let alone bearing the same quality.
I played Duke 3D in 98 with my father every weekend. Good times.
The maps are nothing impressive, but the whole game feels very fun all around.
Get atomic and play it. It's great, really.
>I remember these games getting praised back and forth for being "so great". But what makes them great??
Well, the thing with Duke3D wasnt just a good game, but it was pretty innovative too, the FPS that were released before lacked memorable main characters. Duke was a huge injection of charisma for the genre.

>Implying The Abyss doesn't make your dick rock hard.
Also the greatest melee attack in any game ever.
