Let's be honest, The Witcher 3 is basically Red Dead Redemption with swords & slavs
you cant compare a RPG to a Action Open World game tho
Thats just stupid
I dont compare GTA to CoD or AC either
just because AC is openworld or CoD is popular
OP here, which one do you have?
Both are amazingly well made games with deep open worlds and intriguing story lines. The have a lot of the same open world rpg tropes, but in a good way.
Play it man. If you liked RDR, you'll like W3. Obviously theres going to be quite a difference in combat and setting, but the essence is equal. But like RDR, it takes a little getting use to.
Maybe 3 to 4 hours, decide whether its worth completing?
Not exactly but the Witcher definitely has similair themes.
Is there an rpg out there with swords, magic, general fantasy stuff in a western frontier setting?
Seems like its either generic woodland euro fantasy or bizarre biome fantasy. Sometimes there's a desert section, but its usually really small and the most generic desert type ever

You won't believe me, but
It's pretty flawed, but the vibes and atmosphere are there if that's what you want. There's revolvers, capes, magic, swords, space ships, knights and lords, aliens, robots, gold-filled treasure rooms, necromancy. They got all the themes down perfectly.
This is the only one I've ever heard of.
Well, there's the Sundown Kid chapter in Live A Live, but it's short.
That would explain why i didn't like Witcher 3.
Dicking around in games > Narrative
At least in games when it's set in a large open worlds. Just be low morality John Marston and your greeting button becomes an insult button.
>who needs story in games when you can make your own stories!
WHY IS BLOODBORNE SO LOW FUUUUUUUUUCKKKKKK!!!!!!!
AND WHY IS WORST WITCHER SO HIGH
IT'S NOT FAAAIRRRRRR FFUUUUUCKKKKK!!!!!!!!!
