Why are assassin's creed games so popular? I just finished Black Flag, I really enjoyed the sailing and ship shit, but outside of that the standard assassin stuff wasn't really that great. Primal is a LITERAL reskin of 4. That is not "from the ground up". The animal tame bullshit is just the Shanghai-la tiger AI, all the takedown bullshit is still there, all the animals and animations are from FC4.

The only additions to Primal are a melee blocking system, throwing your melee weapons and that is it.

The newest AC is such a cluster fuck. It runes even worse than the French one, yet it looks worse. There is literally no story at all, they just gave up entirely. You only dick around with character missions. I just couldnt even start playing it. Every AC yet I finished, but this time I cant even manage to get few hours in.

The only redeemable quality is that Jacob is the first assassin ever smart enough to not sew an assassin insignias all over his outfit and actually blend in with the crowd. The girl on the other hand might be the worst of them all.

Also Shaun and Rebecca managing to stay entirely insignificant yet present in 8th game so far. Just let them die already. Its not worth it anymore. I bet not even third of modern player base know who they are.

This has potential, I just hop it really makes up. I heard most of the recent games despite some of its glitches are pretty good. Unity caught my attention as far as graphics go, but glitches made everyone shit on the game and not give it a second chance after it was patched. I'm expecting a slightly more polished game now, even though its bound to have glitches. One thing I'm abit scared is that gameplay will be boring and the story will be lackluster. They need to switch up the stealth aswell. It's dumb as hell for someone to in a hood walking around and not being spotted when he sits down or some shit. They should make the character use actual get aways and incorporate the gamer to change clothes. Also I hope they redesign the way the assassins look. That edgy themed hood is boring and uncreative. Im putting a lot hope on a lazy company.

Also we should see that coming, Assassin's Creed games are getting worse by years since they only trying to cater to as many people as possible.

Everything they did are conservative at best, that's why the game has great scenery but manage to be a generic piece.

Don't be mistaken though. Assassin's Creed games might be shit but it is a cross-products franchise already. Comics, novels, movies etc. The franchise is becoming a pop culture phenomenon and they are trying to hit the mark with the upcoming movie. The whole thing will only go larger if the movie is successful.

And it is really, really frightening.

What more could you possibly want, Ancient Greece or Rome are basically confirmed too since they re-use assets at least once.
