Gamefreak also releases like 5 new gimmicks every gen which they also make a tutorial for.

Also X and Y introduced long ass "cinematic" cutscenes.

Also in ORAS getting to Groudon/Kyogre was like a 5 minute cutscene followed by a 5 minute set up of their primal reversion followed by auto sunnyday/raindance.

I'm convinced that nobody has the patience to soft reset for that so all of the shinies of them are hacked on.

Maybe for the first hour. Once you get boots of blinding speed, levitation pants, and high athletics you fucking book it through that game. More accurately the game is so foggy to give you the idea of it being big. If you turn off the fog and stand on top of Red Mountain it's surprising how small the game actually is. Like Caldera and Balmora are almost the same town they're so close.
