I played Skyrim years ago friend.
It still doesn't explain why I find Oblivion so much more fun than Skyrim.
I would say it's that Skyrim has all the skill shit neutered

Skyrim's intro is shit because it takes too long. Oblivion's intro is the dumbest, lamest thing in the universe. WHY are there only like 2 jail cells in this Imperial prison? WHY is there a secret door? WHY is this secret door hidden in a currently-in-use prison cell? WHY does the secret door go not to a safe house, but to a sewer? It's just such a goofy, weird introduction. I refuse to believe that it was their first choice for doing the intro.

There are 10 or so callas, 4 where you start and the other 6 are when you normally go to jail. Dreth has been in his cell for 11 years, so it is likely that particular wing is only for criminals with exceptionally long sentences. They simply forgot which cell was the escape route so just stuck you in the closest one and called it a day.

You should try Nehrim if you haven't already. It's a total conversion for Oblivion. The guys who made it are close to finishing one for Skyrim, too.

Skyrim was a good game but the issue was the environment. The soft music and a gray and white color scheme always put me to sleep however. I think i have 80 hours ...but i was awake for maybe 20 of them due to falling asleep at the keyboard.

Oblivion has ugly as fuck character models, obtuse leveling system and terrible level scaling. It's combat is also inferior to Skyrim.

All that aside, Oblivion is a better game for its quests, characters, magic system, factions, and just general world as a whole.

Both games are flawed as fuck, but Skyrim is the bigger shit for taking two steps back while taking one awkward step forward.

I don't even know why the devs bother with these long convoluted intros in the first place. Just let me choose my base stats and a simple character background, then land me at a crossroad where one path leads to a castle under siege and the other a cult about to sacrifice a fair maiden, I'll take it from there.
